I first called then left a message via Angie's List that I wanted to get a price for hardwood floor installation. In over a month, I never got a call or a return message. I don't see how a provider can advertise being an award winner with this lack of common courtesy. Maybe Angie's List should run a finishing school for their providers. In the meantime, I would recommend that this provider be removed from award status.

Dean and his team are simply amazing. We could not be happier with how the job turned out. Dean and his crew were fantastic in every sense of the word. My wife and I moved into a home that was fairly new (8 years). We did not like the natural looking oak flooring on the first floor and stairway. We had a very particular dark espresso color that we had in mind. Other contractors were charging more since they had to do multiple coats. I had read online that in order for a dark finish you need to do a technique called "water popping" the wood grain after sanding it. After several quotes, Dean came by to provide an estimate and he mentioned that he would water pop before applying the stain. We decided to go with D&D after getting the estimate and we were extremely satisfied. Dean and his crew were always punctual (7AM start). After sanding he showed us several different colors on the floor in order for us to decide. After the first day we were not satisfied with any of the colors and he said he would look into the very dark espresso finish with more pigment in the stain. He came back the next day with someone that we absolutely loved. He also gave us the option on whether to put down water based or oil based polyurethane based on our preference. Most other contractors only work with one or the other and do not give you a choice. Dean even touched up the white trim that we have throughout our house without us even asking him to. The floor came out exactly how we wanted it to. I really appreciated Dean's flexibility and willingness to help us achieve exactly what we wanted. I will be calling them again for any hardwood needs in the future. D&D is excellent.

Our hardwood floors in the majority of our first floor were damaged. We called a few contractors, looking for solutions on how to rectify the damage. We weren't sure if it could be repaired or if it had to be replaced. D&D did a great job understanding the problem and offering alternative solutions. We decided to completely remove the existing flooring and install new flooring. D&D was professional and trustworthy right from the start. I had several contractors look at different aspects of our problems and D&D provided a complete solution at a competitive price. Other contractors would only do a portion of the work, which would have required us to get multiple people in to finish the job in its entirety. D&D took charge of the whole thing, from demolition, to clean-up to installation of new flooring and baseboards. We also had two staircases coated. Where some who looked at the job were cautious or concerned about certain aspects, D&D was calm and knew exactly how to handle the issues. Their experience was evident throughout in that they immediately knew the best way to handle all the tricky parts of the job that seemed to intimidate some other contractors. When the work actually started, they arrived on time and cleaned up each day. They worked consistently and diligently all day. No lunch breaks. No long cell phone calls. We highly recommend this team of professionals. They are first-rate all the way. Our floors look gorgeous!

D&D Flooring did an excellent job of refinishing my oak hardwood floors. I had approximately 375 sq. ft. of flooring that was installed about 20 years ago. The floors were well worn and in need of some TLC. Dean and Earl did a fabulous job of restoring the floors to better than I ever expected. They look absolutely beautiful. Dean & Earl were punctual and were a pleasure to work with. They went over and above board to please me and make sure they did all they could to make this pickey customer happy. I would recommend them to my best friends. Thanks for a great job.

This project went very well. It took 7 days to complete, as it had to be done in stages. D & D was always on time and always worked diligently without any interruptions. They were extremely efficient and clean, never leaving any messes behind. Their professionalism was outstanding and their work was awesome! We are extremely pleased with the results and highly recommend them to anyone needing their services.

Dean met me at my home on the day I settled to give me an estimate. He could not have been more accommodating. He and his crew were courteous and professional, and extremely patient with me showing up daily asking multiple questions. The price was by far the best I got, and I could not be more thrilled with the job. The floors are beautiful, and the house is more clean than when they began. One whole room had to be replaced due to pet damage, and you would never know the difference. I will recommend Dean and his crew to everyone I know looking to get hardwood floors installed or refinished. Thank you!

Dean and his crew were wonderful to work with. He came out and gave me a free estimate in a timely fashion. After we agreed on the work to be done he was able to start the project within a couple weeks. Unfortunately we lost power for 5 days and had a major tree in our yard come down and this resulted in a delayed start. Dean was very understanding of the situation and was able to delay the start date in order to accommodate our setbacks. His crew was at my house daily getting the job done and always left the house very clean and tidy. The dustless system was surprisingly very clean and the dust was very minimal, if any. At the end of the project Dean walked through the house with me to make sure the job was completed to my satisfaction. He also was kind enough to drop extra stain/finish off to me after the project was complete so I could stain a couple railings i had. I was very satisfied with the job and would definitely recommend Dean and use him in the future.

Spectacular. Their estimate was much lower than a local "big name" flooring company. Yet their attention to detail was perfect. No damage to walls or cabinets. The floor looks awesome. They showed up on time, finished on time, and were neat and clean about the whole project. Their dustless sanding was superb.

From start to finish it was a pleasure working with such a professional . when Dean came out for the estimate he was very punctual and informative my husband and I had many questions for him he was very patient with us and we found that to be great because we had some bad experiences in the past where some contractors got annoyed with our questions. After receiving our estimate we made the decision to go ahead and contract Dean to do our floors we were very surprised that he did not ask for a DEPOSIT unheard of . Dean and Earl started at 7:00 am every morning and worked on our job every day until it was completed not to mention how amazed we were that our home was basically dust free after all that sanding . Dean said it would be but my husband and I were very skeptical what a difference that dustless system makes. You guys are the best !!!!!!!!!! Thanks Beth

Did not receive return phone call for hardwood flooring install.

This is the second time I have hired Dean and his crew to do a sanding/refinishing job. The first time was when I was getting my previous house ready to put on the market to sell, and he did such an outstanding that I had no hesitation in hiring him again when we bought a new house. The house that we were moving into had about 1800 - 2000 sq ft of mahogany hardwood floors that had seen 14 years of abuse from the previous owner's dogs. Dean quoted me a price upfront, gave me a time frame for when it would be completed, and just like the first time, every commitment was kept and everything was done exactly as described. Basically, I had a three day window to get everything finished because we were going to be moving into the house a few days later, and even though one of the days scheduled for the job was one of those days we got more than a few inches of snow, Dean and his crew showed up and got the job done. I would highly recommend them for sanding and refinishing floors.

He was professional, easy to get in touch with and worked around my crazy schedule and the insane weather to get our floors done on time. I am a very picky person and the floors are beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

From start to finish, Dean and his crew were excellent. Having never needed to sand and / or refinish hardwood flooring before, I had quite a few questions about the process (overall time involved, what color stains would be appropriate for the type of wood, the types of polyurethane finishes and how long they took to cure, etc), and Dean took his time to explain everything in exquisite detail. I was under a time crunch due to other obligations, and Dean went out of his way to make sure he could fit my job into a time window that worked for my schedule, and he did so without charging any extra money or doing a rush job. They cleaned up after themselves, did the job in a timely fashion (i.e., showed up when they said they would), did everything they said they would do, and did it for the cost that I was quoted in advance. Would I use them again? Well, I already have additional work scheduled with them in my new house, so that is a resounding "yes".

Simply outstanding. We can't say enough about Dean and Earl. Prompt, friendly, and professional. They are experts who go above and beyond to satisfy the customer. Their price was more than fair, and the quality of the work was amazing. Dean even came on a Sunday to make up for time lost due to a snowstorm. They should be your first and only call. They will be ours from now on. A+++

These two guys are true to their word. My floors were carpet and wood...not nice. Now, they are Brazilian Cherry beautiful and easy to keep clean...you guys rock!! Thank you

Excellently. The floors are gorgeous. All of the minor damage and stains are gone and the floors are beautiful. Dean was very professional, clean, prompt and honest. He did what was promised, arrived on time, kept our home clean and did his work quickly and with care. His costs also were very reasonable and he returned to address some touch up areas and exceeded our expectations. We give him the highest rating of any contractor to have done work in our home and will definitely use him again and recommend him highly to our family and friends.

Went perfect. Boxes of flooring arrived couple days ahead of time to acclimate. It took 2 and a half days for Dean and his other worker to do the job. Cleaned up area and organized their equipment at end of each day. Previous floor had squeaky spots everywhere, new one has none! I could not be home for 2 of the days, but I trusted them to access home with use of lock-box which went fine. They answered all my questions. They are clearly the experts for hardwood flooring.

We were very pleased with the results. Company also matched the floor stain to our recently installed hardwood floor in kitchen. We were living in the house while the work was being done. They used a "dustless" sander which left very little dust. We were able to walk on the floors after 6 hours.

If you want a contractor who is 100% reliable, honest, trustworthy with an excellent work ethic... this is the company for you. Dean and Earl gave us one of the best contractor experiences we have had in a very long time. They do beautiful work, are extremely detailed oriented and do a fabulous job cleaning up afterwards. This is the second job D&D did for our family and I can't recommend them highly enough. There is absolutely no risk hiring these experienced craftsmen... and I can say that about few others in over 40 years of home ownership. If there were a A+++ rating... they certainly earned that in all the categories!

Beyond our expectations. Very pleased with our finished product. Dean and his partner were very professional, friendly, punctual and they completed the job in the timeframe they quoted. They were a breath of fresh air after having many other contractors in my home throughout the years! I would highly recommend them to all of my family and friends.
