We highly recommend J. Stewart Paving Company. With our neighbors, we decided it was time to have our side-by-side-driveways paved. We were very grateful for the quick response for an estimate for our driveways and more grateful that we didn’t have to wait long for the work to be done. We also were very pleased with the cost! A full crew of workers and lots of equipment excavated and paved the driveway area with much expertise and efficiency. Owners and employees were very prompt to reply to our questions, calls or emails, and we are very confident if any concern should arrive, it will be taken care of. We are very pleased with the result – a beautiful driveway.

J. Stewart Paving removed my old driveway and laid down a new asphalt one in about 3 hours. The asphalt thickness is 2.5" and the driveway size is 10' x 40'. The results look very good.

J. Stewart Paving did an excellent job. Their price was competitive and they made scheduling very easy. In fact, Jack, the project coordinator, worked my job in early. He could not have been easier to work with and immediately responded when I tried to contact him. Also, his crew was perfectly professional, were on time, did exactly what I requested, worked quickly, and cleaned up after themselves.

It went well in every respect. My first encounter was a "cold call" with George Stewart at the end of my driveway early one morning as I was putting the trash out. George was professional, polite and patient as I tried to deflect his attempts to sell me new driveway. He took me through the process of how it would go, what they would do at each phase of the project, and he even discussed several alternative approaches that varied the phases to make it a smaller job to bring the price down. I knew my driveway needed what George was proposing, but the thought of actually doing it was nowhere near the front of my mind. However, after George gave me his best offer and left, I continued to think about his proposal, my wife and I conferred, and we ultimately decided the time was right and the offer was a good one. I called George back, we sealed the deal, and the next morning, bright and early, his crew appeared. The foreman confirmed with me everything George and I had discussed, and told me how his men would handle each phase. Five hours later, after having encountered and very efficiently managed a couple of unexpected situations, the job was done and I had a brand new driveway and turnaround in the back. Everything I had been promised was there, expertly executed, with long straight lines and flat joints at the garage, the patio and the sidewalk, and by all appearances (no rain yet) properly angled in the back to direct runoff away from the house and patio. It looks great to my untrained homeowner eyes, and I am assured by my neighbor on the driveway side of my house, a fellow retiree, he from the residential construction trade who had frequently hired paving contractors to give his new homes driveways, that the job was very professionally done for, in his view, a truly exceptional price. Indeed, he thanked me for doing it because it makes his house look really good too.

We had to have the end of our driveway re-paved and slightly widened, as well as have our entire (long) driveway re-sealed. J Stewart did a great job (re-paving repair done on one day, re-sealing a few days later) -- efficient, neat, and courteous. Very pleased with the work, and the price was very reasonable compared to the other two quotes I received (and several other paving companies said they did not do residential paving repairs).

They paved my driveway. They did a great job at a great price. They cleaned up after themselves. They even removed 2 tree stumps at no extra charge. My place looks great! Four of my neighbors liked the job and have booked him. I was just thrilled with the whole process.

Fantastic response and excellent work. I contacted them on a Wednesday afternoon as a result of positive reviews on Angie's List. George Stewart responded on Thursday to look at our driveway, told me what needed to be done and quoted a reasonable price on the spot. His crew showed up at 8:00 AM the following morning (Friday) and were extremely professional -- had the entire driveway resurfaced by 11:00 AM. George even agreed to remove an unsightly basketball backboard and pole and honored the 5% off Angie's list coupon. I was amazed at the speed at which this job got accomplished. I would definitely recommend J. Stewart Paving for any residential paving work!!

I was extremely pleased with the professionalism and skill of the crew. Work performed was meticulous, and all in a very short timeframe! The entire driveway was removed and replaced in less than 4 hours! Because no downpayment was required, I felt confident the job was going to be performed to my satisfaction, and it certainly was!

Met with George a couple of weeks ago for an estimate and we discussed the sinkholes that had developed in the driveway. We agreed to replace the existing driveway and the price was good. We are three neighbors with a shared driveway. Jack gave us an estimate for the job, answered many questions (three neighbors - each with different questions and concerns). We decided to contract J Stewart based on our impressions, great reviews, and fair pricing. The job was scheduled quickly, and the crew arrived and completed job as expected. They were professional, worked efficiently, and were very polite. They went over the scope of the job, made some recommendations, and widened the curvy area of our driveway to make access easier for larger vehicles. Many areas of existing driveway were fully excavated and built up to ensure less problems inthe future. The work was done a week ago, and we all are pleased and optimistic it will do well for many winters/summers. PS: two others neighbors have contracted J Stewart based on our recommendations.

J Stewart paved driveway last year. Came back as promised this year to seal. They arrived as promised and did the work in quick professional manner. We will use them again.

First of all the driveway looks great and no puddling when it rains. Secondly, Jack Stewart was on time, reasonably priced, his crew worked diligently tearing up problem areas. They were in and out in one day. Job was so good two of my neighbors hired his company and their driveways look great. Driveway is over 300 feet long and area in front of four garages is also large. I picked J Stewart after a search of Angie's List, Yelp, HomeAdvisor and Better Business Bureau. He was rated highly on all sites. His price was also very competitive.

It went great. They showed up in the morning and were done by noon. Cleaned up everything when completed. I would absolutely hire again.

I decided to hire them. Over the next 8 weeks, I ended up calling them 3 times and emailing them the approved contract 3 times. They still never scheduled me. I ended up having someone else do the work for the same price.

J. Stewart Paving did a fantastic job, digging up the old 100’ driveway and repaving up to a new 25’ wide garage. The asphalt curves and lines along garden, grass, and brick walk are clean, and most impressively water does not pool up anywhere on the driveway after a rain. Before the work started we discussed options, and I asked for certain details, which the foreman readily approved. The crew of 8, each with designated jobs, worked together efficiently and did a great job, and they were nice guys. The job was completed in less than 3 hours. The price was good too. Went well, they were flexible in scheduling then showed up on time once a day was agreed upon. Took longer to dry than they had said but otherwise driveway looks good.

Paving was quick and neat. There was an area of ground cover that was damaged (probably unavoidable) and filled in with mismatched stone. If they had asked, I'd have preferred it left alone so I could replace the ground cover. Now I'm trying work around stone that was rolled in. Also, it took multiple calls to get a work date.

They were very punctual, and worked in a professional and curtious manner. Gave excellent attention to detail! Restores my faith in customer service.
