Jim Parker showed up for our appointment for an estimate. He was very polite and knowledgeable. He gave me an estimate for coating my roof with the Gaco Silicone Roof Sealant and the flashing. Being disabled, I was trying to find an honest company to do the work-after speaking to Jimmy, I believe I found that company. Jimmy came back out, completed the work and I was very pleased with the results. It's nice to know there are good people still out there-if I ever needed anything, Jimmy said he would take care of it. A great company!!

So i had a roof leak from some do it yourself mistake I made while remodeling my bathroom over the summer from trying to install an exhaust fan on my own. So I finally gave my ego a break and decided to hire a roofing specialist to help with this roofing patch job. I went on Angies list and had a couple of A-rated contractors come out for bids. James, who is the owner of J. Parker contracting came out and gave a fair bid so i decided to go with him. Not only did he do an awesome job, but they also went above and beyond and took care of replacing a drywall sheet in my ceiling that was leaked on for no extra charge. I have never met this guy until before this job or have no affiliation with him, but wanted to give him a shout out for the great service. If you guys need someone, i would highly recommend him.

It went very well. Returned right away with a bid and was able to perform work within the week. Looks great.

Super. Punctual, high quality, respectful, skilled, orderly, clean. Paid attention to details, such as matching shingles with neighbor's roof. Communicated throughout. Great, hard-working crew. Done in two days. Cleaned up perfectly. Already contracted to do additional work.

I contacted J Parker along with several others as part of the process of getting estimates for a new roof. The next day Al came to my house and took the time to look things over and explain the details of what would be involved in the job. He couldn't have been friendlier and easier to talk to, answering all my questions and making me feel no pressure whatsoever. It was just an easy conversation. He even left me with a sample folder from the company that manufactured the shingles so I could look over color choices. They got back to me the next day with a quote, which ended up being lower than the other companies I contacted. I decided to move forward with J Parker and I am happy I did. The crew arrived early on the scheduled installation date, and immediately got to work, tearing off the old roof and installing the new one quickly and efficiently. During the installation, Al kept me updated, letting me know about how things were progressing and things they found while tearing off the old roof. They were finished with the roof by the end of the day, all the while respecting the surroundings of the house and cleaning up after themselves. The next day, they came out to ensure the clean up had been completed, and they even inspected and made adjustments to my gutters at no extra cost to me. I would highly recommend J Parker if you are considering a new roof. In my experience, they were very easy to work with and respectful of myself, my time, and my house, all while offering their services at a very reasonable price. I also feel if there were ever any issues with the roof, J Parker is the type of company that would work with me to make sure I was happy and that the issues were resolved.

Everything went perfect called back in a timely manner. Showed up at the time that was scheduled. Inspected the roof explained what needed to be fixed. Gave a very reasonable quote. Came back next day to repair the areas that needed to be fixed. Finished work cleaned up area. We have had our share of bad really bad contractors. It was a pleasant experience not having a crook for a contractor. I would highly recommend this company to my fellow Retired Law Enforcement and Military Veteran friends.

Very professional and did very good quality work. Would definitely hire again.

Called James yesterday and he was here today. He has done some work before for me. He fixed it, said call if it is still a problem, and no charge.

J. Parker Contracting was a pleasure to work with. They responded promptly for our price quote request and came back a second time after we decided to add on gutter replacement. The quote was clear and detailed with all labor and material costs explained. The quote came in below the 2 other roofers we contacted. Scheduling was simple, the workers showed up on time worked diligently and cleaned up all debris. The new roof and gutters look fantastic. We would definitely recommend J. Parker Contracting again and hope to do business with them in the future for additional services.

Al came out and gave us an estimate with no hidden costs or "possible unknowns" that other roofing companies had mentioned. He quoted us a price and that was the price. He and his crew came out in just a few days and within one day, he had taken off all the roof layers and replaced the shingled part of our roof. Strangely, we discovered a roof leave in the area of our roof that others told us did not need replacing. We called Al on a Sunday and told him about it. He said no problem and fixed that part of the roof the day after and for a great price. Al and his son were on site to supervise every step of the way and were terrific! We are looking forward to hiring them again for renovations in the new home we have purchased!

We bought our first home and were handed the keys knowing nothing. Discovered some issues that were not fully explained to us by inspection team such as atrophy of chimney and importance of functional pipe collars. James and his team worked with us to explain the cause of the issues and what they would do to prevent the issues from reoccurring. He and his father were extremely respectful and responsive to phone calls and questions.

Repair went great. They were very responsive to calls and completed the work quickly and professionally. They even texted me before and after pictures. I would hire again.

I just had J. Parker Contracting install a new roof on my house. They did a superior job. Mr. Parker came out to my house immediately to give me an estimate. I live in an older twin house in Drexel Hill, Pa. He kept me informed every step of the way. His team of workers were excellent. They worked until the sun went down and returned the next day to finish the job. Everything was handled professionally and the clean up was perfect. They were also very respectful of my neighbors and their property. Mr. Parker came out to the work site frequently during the two days to make sure all my concerns were addressed. He had quoted me a price of $15,000 and charged me $14,500 at the end of the job. There were a few extra items of roofing supplies left over and he put them in my garage in case I'd need them in the future. I will definitely hire him again for any work in the future.

We had a snow storm last year and snow slid off my roof. He was very good. When I called, he answered and he came out the same day to give a price. He called the very next day and asked if he could do it next week. I said yes. He said he would call me when the weather looked good. He called me and said the weather looks great for next Tuesday. He called again Tuesday to make sure everything was okay for him to come out. They cleaned up behind themselves. They called when they got there and called when they left. They were in and out. I will be calling him very soon to do something else I want done.

James and his team came out about three times to help us troubleshoot and implement several different strategies to finally solve this tricky problem. (With persistent leaks that only occur after continuous rain, this is really the only strategy to success, particularly when there could be multiple contributing factors.) James refused to accept payment for his 2nd visit; we opened up the ceiling and discovered it was not a roof leak but a more complicated siding/window flashing/jchannel issue. James worked with us to come up with a very reasonable price for his teams' time and materials to put the problem to bed. After installation & testing that the solution was effective, he followed up with us to make sure we were happy with the work - we were!

A couple of months after repair, a leak developed. They responded quickly and determined problem was from the neighbor side of common wall. It was fixed under warranty even though it was not technically my property. That says a lot. Thank you.

It went great. He called right away and came when he said he would. He fixed the shingles and was a really nice guy. I will use him again whenever we have a problem with the roof.

Very well. I called about 11 a.m. on March 23. James Parker returned my call within the hour, then was at my house by about 2:30 p.m. and provided an estimate after sizing up what needed to be done. We set a date for Wednesday, March 29, and he came in the morning, just as planned. His work was completed, except for a finishing caulking task, by about 4 p.m. that Wednesday. He returned Thursday, March 30, to finish the caulking. He did everything he said he would do, did it on time and competently, and carried out his work in a very polite and businesslike manner. I was most impressed.

Very prompt in returning my email. He is courteous and professional. Upon completion he said give him a call if there are any problems.

I cannot express how thoroughly professional and prompt this company is. I received text photos of roof shingles and recommendations to make a selection. They showed up the next day and had the wood replaced and most of the shingling. The part that puts them over the top is they took photos of EVERYTHING from the hole that a water leak caused, leading to the leak -- the beam structure (perfectly fine) underneath as well as the water barrier they put in place. Dozens of photos to show the cause, current condition and their work and definitely lends credibility when first working with a new contractor. We received an estimate for the rest of the house which is in line with the other 3 quotes we received and we will use them for the rest when our budget allows.

A $125 roof inspection turned into a $4000 roof repair job, but I have no complaints about the quality of the work and professionalism of this family business.

I called for an estimate and Al came over within a couple days of my initial call. He got up on the roof and took a look, provided me with an estimate for the maintenance that needed to be done and showed me pictures that he had taken while he was up there, so that I knew what he was talking about. I tend to be a bit of a procrastinator, so after discussing with my husband, we decided to have this company do the work, but I didn't call back right away. A little less than a week after the estimate, Al stopped by and asked if we were interested in having the work done, and if so, they could do it that afternoon, as they were just finishing up a job nearby. So I had them go ahead and do it. We were supposed to get a tree trimmed away from the house first, but we hadn't done that yet, and Al said not to worry about it, his guys would take care of it. The work was done in one afternoon. They cleaned off the roof, sealed cracks, seal coated the roof, reinforced trim, fixed a gutter, trimmed the tree and cleaned out the gutters. My only complaint was that they left a little bit of a mess - some paint splotches in the yard (from what they coat the roof with), a couple water bottles, and (according to my neighbor) a pair of gloves and a bucket or two. This wouldn't have bothered me except that my neighbor gave me a bit of a hard time about it. But otherwise, the guys were quick, friendly, and the sealant is guaranteed for 7 years.

The work went well. He is very friendly and courteous. James said he would come back because the gutter continued to leak after he did the work. He said it was because it rained in the evening after he sealed the gutter before the sealant dried. He kept his word and returned twice to fix the problem. We are keeping our fingers crossed!

I have nothing but positive things to say. They arrived and went straight to work. Everyone was friendly professional and polite. The price was reasonable for the work done and I will recommend J Parker Contracting in the future.
