They did a fine job. Took a couple of times for them to come out to isolate the problem and they did get it fix.

I was thoroughly impressed! They sent Brian out to my home. He was very professional, and extremely knowledgeable. Brian called first, to let me know he was on his way. He very quickly diagnosed the problem, resolved it, and gave me tips on what I can do to prevent it from happening again. He cleaned up carefully, leaving the area cleaner than before he worked there. I will definitely use D&K Appliances for all my repairs in the future. I didn't know there were still companies with this kind of expertise still around!

Their labor cost about $100 and the part for my fridge was about $150.

Fine. I bought a microwave from them. They were close by. They arranged to have it installed.

The clothes dryer was so old that it was not possible to locate the necessary part(s) to repair it. I purchased a new gas dryer from D & K Appliances on Saturday and it was delivered and installed on Tuesday. It was necessary to partially dismantle the old broken dryer and to remove the entry door from its hinges in order to remove the old dryer. The installation of the new machine involved a new flexible hose and some manipulation of the dryer venting apparatus. Before the dryer was delivered, the washing machine broke down and was deemed not worth repairing. I returned to D&K Thursday (2 days after the dryer was delivered and installed) to purchase a washing machine. The price was in-line with other options (Lowe's, Home Depot, Sears) and D & K was able to deliver the machine soonest. The sales transaction took very little time and the machine was delivered Tuesday. Removing the broken washing machine was easier than removing the broken dryer had been and the old washing machine was taken out intact and with the entry door still on its hinges. When I ran the washing machine the first time I noted water under the machine and called D&K just a couple of hours after the installation. It was arranged for one of their service staff to stop at my house on his way home the same day. A couple of hours later he arrived and investigated the area. He identified the leak was coming from the plumbing under the wash tub into which the washing machine drained and he was not able to effect any repair since the washing machine was not the source of the water leak. I contacted a plumber and the leaking pipe was replaced. I have since done several loads of laundry and have had no problems with my new washer and dryer. All staff were professional, personable and friendly. I recommend D&K Appliance Sales and Service.

The details are written above. The bottom line is that we believe that we are entitled to a new machine; but D K claims that GE demands that it be repaired under its warranty. Given that a dishwasher, double ovens, and refrigerator (in addition to this washer/dryer combination) were purchased by us from D K, I believe that they could and should give us a new machine--or refund our money.

In researching and visiting multiple showrooms I decided to go with D&K for my purchase based on reviews and knowledge of staff on the floor. Transaction went seamlessly through first install. Very professional team all the way around. Unfortunately the fridge was dead on arrival which happens. In calling for follow up they went the extra mile to try and get a replacement to me before Christmas. The replacement arrived on a much lesser vehicle which was not covered in the pouring rain. Rather than bring the fridge directly in back as the other team had done, this team decided to unwrap flat on my wood porch in front of house and transport back to truck and then into back of house. Not sure if this action was the culprit but while my fridge worked tis time the finish was a bit screwy on top front doors, one of which required replacement. There was also a visible dent on one side but let that go. Again, D&K was quick to follow up and order replacement. Unfortunately when the tech arrived to install a couple of weeks later it was the wrong color. Flash forward another couple of weeks later new door was installed. It has a small defect at bottom and finish is a bit wonky on other door but am going to live with it. I now have an issue with the dryer I purchased which was told they had not had a service call yet on the brand. However when I called today as it is leaving grey streaks on my clothing they do not actually provide service and referred me to another company. This raised an eyebrow on my part as how would he have known there were no service calls if they do not service the brand, but they may have been tracking people who called in.

Used Angie's List for repair service recommendation. Professional on phone when I made initial contact. Appointment available within the next day for repairman to come and determine problem with oven (oven was not heating). Came when they said he would. He was friendly and professional. He did not have the part on his truck but made a call while he was here to determine when the part would be available. He came back two days later and installed the part. At the same time, he also replaced the broken hinge on the oven door. Would also like to point out that Dand K is local to our home; we like to use local businesses. Will definitely call Dand K again should we need repair work. We are completely satisfied with them.

Scheduling was fine and they were on-time. They seemed competent. Communication was fine with them.

So far the washer is working well.

The technician was prompt and professional. The person who scheduled the appointment was helpful, and was able to tell me how old my disposer was, since I bought it from them. Three months after the repair date the disposer works fine.

They did a great job and were very honest about what made sense to do with an old oven and microwave!

We needed an 18" dishwasher,which was hard to find at a reasonable price at other stores. Dand K had one and it was less expensive than any we had seen in stores or online. They were very helpful at purchase and pick-up.

I absolutely was thrilled with the service I received. The technician found that our 10 year old refrigerator had not been properly cleaned, leading to a near catastrophic failure of the main motor - the heat of the motor overheating caused the main water line coming in to our refrigerator to fry. He vacuumed out the entire motor area, showed me where I needed to clean on an annual schedule to keep this from happening again and replaced the damaged tubing. He also looked at my dishwasher - the little flap that controlled my Kenmore dishwasher dispenser closed had begun to disintegrate, not holding the dispenser door shut. He asked if I had other problems with the dishwasher. Based on my answers, he shared with me that putting $200 into a dishwasher that was not holding up anymore was not worth it, and I agreed. He made a suggestion on the brand he felt had the least amount of consumer issues. He did not try to sell me anything. I would highly recommend Dand K Appliance for any appliance repair.

I called D and K on 10/8 to request service. Because of my schedule and the fact that it was not an emergency, a repairman came out on Thursday. He diagnosed the problem and called back to the office to order the part. I was called the next week on Monday when the part arrived and they were able to come out and install it on Wednesday afternoon. It was handled very professionally and I was pleased with the service and the outcome. I will call them in the future if I need service again.

The service was excellent. This was the first time I was buying a new refrigerator and we had a unique situation. They were extremely helpful with giving us options and helping us get the old unit out.

My GE Profile refrigerator died after just 6 years and I was in a panic to replace quickly since I have a diabetic cat and his insulin must be stored at 36 - 45 degrees F. Went to Dand K upon recommendation from my sister (and from the reviews here!) and could not be more pleased. My salesperson (Jesse) was incredibly kind and responsive and never once tried to oversell. I went with a basic Whirlpool and best of all, Jesse matched the current lowest price in the area. The installers arrived ahead of schedule and took great care hauling out my old fridge and installing the new one. They also picked up all packing materials leaving my kitchen spotless. Bottom line -- Dand K is the best place on the Main Line to buy major appliances. Ditch the "big box" retailers and give this family-owned, well established business a try. You will get quality merchandise and excellent service.

The repairman came out and proceeded to tell me the ovens were fine. Of course he was proven to be wrong and they were not helpful in resolving the issue. These ovens were barely two years old and were six thousand dollar ovens. We have been dealing with Dacor who have not been helpful. Ultimately we will have to purchase new ovens. D and K did return our initial payment for the visit. I found the D and K repairman was more interested in going home than problem solving. I also refuse to spend my day waiting for repair people to arrive. These people can set appointments. They are just allowed to get away with this nonsense. I have purchased other appliances from D and K but no more.

When a salesperson learned that I wanted an oven lower priced than this store carries, he blew me off. The store only sells peek priced appliances. And by the way, I purchased a $1200. oven from this store 9 yrs ago which started to short circuit immediately after the 1 year warranty expired.

After doing my own on-line research, I worked with a sales person to purchase a dishwasher. He was very helpful in determining what make and model would meet my practical and financial needs. He even sent tme the paperwork for a rebate. Installation was within days, and the person who did the installation was timely, efficient, friendly and did a good job. I had a couple of problems with the dishwasher initially, but two sales reps got me through them with a few phone calls (newer dishwahers are very different from the old one I replaced). They also guaranteed to replace it, if the problems did not resolve. I was very pleased with the service.

We were completely p***** off. It wasted us so much time: several weeks of waiting and two mornings to wait for them to come. Their quoted price was at least 15% above the one we finally used. Horrible experience.

We selected the exact range by researching Consumer's reports and visiting appliance show rooms. Once we made the choice of range, we then searched where to buy and for installation (including removal of old range). We considered buying/delivery and separate installation, but quickly opted for all in one (purchase, delivery, removal, install). Prior to selecting Dand K, we researched Angie's List and visited selected businesses having recent A ratings. We also compared Dand K with big box stores (Sears, HHGreg, BestBuy, Home Depot, Lowes) as well as purchasing on-line. Dand K provided a competitive overall price with delivery, removal and installation. What swung the choice was the no sales pressure and straight answers to our questions from Dand K's Jim Derose and other Dand K folks, plus being a local business with high, recent Angie's list ratings.
