I have been with Arrest-A-Pest for three years, having quarterly treatments and inspections. The lived-in part of home has gone from mouse-infested to mouse-free... we have not seen a mouse since using this firm... and from being overrun by spiders and small bugs to being virtually insect free. They are professional; they explain everything they do; they spend a great deal of time given the relatively low cost of each visit; they take pride in and stand behind their work. This is a wholly effective and professional outfit.

Ed arrived 5 minutes early, went room to room checking for bed bugs and explained what he was looking for while he looked. Fortunately, no bed bugs were seen however, because I do frequently travel for work, Ed treated the bedding, furniture, floors, walls and ceilings (in bottom part of house) in all four bedrooms, the common areas of our home and the exterior. After treating everything he explained what I could do going forward and when I should treat again. I highly recommend Arrest-A-Pest and will DEFINITELY utilize their services going forward.

He is great. There is nothing that he could do better. He is real friendly and very responsive. He really goes over and above the just the basics. If we see something, he will look into it and add it without extra charges.

He really works with my schedule. I also like that I am not pressured to sign a contact with him, he will still come out every month, I just have to call. I will continue to use his services in the future for my pest control.

After discovering swarming, winged ant-like insects in my loft area, I called this company because of it's ratings. My call was returned within 24 hours. However, it all went downhill from there. The representative asked me for a description of the insects which I provided. I asked him to come out and inspect the area in case they were termites or some other harmful insect. He said it wasn't termite season. He then asked if the wings were falling off. I had absolutely no idea. He told me to check and call him back the next day. I checked, actually captured one, called him back the next day and left a voicemail message. I never received a return call. I would have expected him to arrange to come to the house, evaluate the situation and treat it. He showed no interest in doing so, sent me off to check if the wings were falling off and, adding insult to injufy, didn't show the courtesy of a return call. Not what I'd expect from an Angie's list company.

One day, I was working in my home office when my daughter asked me to come to the kitchen. As I entered, she pointed to various areas where tiny flying critters were buzzing around the floor and lower cabinets. I grabbed a broom and dustpan and swept up all of the ones I could see as they didn't seem to fly very quickly nor did they even try to evade the broom. I took 'em outside, dropped them on the driveway and stepped on them. The next day, I started thinking - were these things termites? I had saved a couple of them in a baggie just in case and started searching the web for termite pictures. I compared the pics to the bugs in the bag and they looked similar enough that I figured I needed an inspection. Hate to brag on the competition, but I got onto Checkbook.org (but as you can see, I also subscribe to Angies!) to which I subscribe and up came Arrest a Pest, which had gotten a number of good ratings for both price and quality. I called and made an appointment which I believe was for two days hence. Ed arrived right on time and carefully inspected all areas of the house for possible entry and infestation points and zeroed in on a wall in the basement under the kitchen. He told me that on the outside of the house under the deck which butted up against this wall was ideal for termites, as it's cool, damp and right up against the house outside of the kitchen where we spotted the swarm. I also showed him my baggie of dead bugs and he confirmed that they were indeed termites. Ed explained in detail what the treatment would involve and how much it would cost. I gave him the go ahead so we set up a day and time. Ed and his assistant arrived right on schedule and got going. It took approximately three hours from start to finish (they had to drill numerous holes in the cement and asphalt around the perimeter of the house) and I observed the whole process, during which Ed informed me that he also noticed some carpenter ants at a specific location of the house perimeter. He told me not to worry, as the treatment would take them out as well. After all the bug juice was applied, they patched up all the holes and that was that. Ed told me he applied extra insecticide around the deck area, for reasons already explained above. I was concerned about product safety, as my two year old granddaughter spends a lot of time here and is always running around outside. Ed told me he uses Termidor, one of the most technologically advanced termiticides, that has an excellent safety and environmental profile. I got on the Web and confirmed everything he told me about it. The treatment came with a one year guarantee and for 85 bucks a year beyond that, he'll come once a year and do another inspection and re-treat, if necessary. All the termites are gone and I'm a happy customer. Quality service at a fair price. Ed is the man!

Very professional. Went above and beyond in trying to locate wasp nests. Explained everything that he did.

He came over right away. He explained what had happened and that it wasn't us that had fleas. He kept coming back in a timely manner. Now we get the house treated every spring. When he saw other problems like with ants he just told us we had to watch it. He didn't sit there and try to add more costs to the bill. He is very honest. He is a can-do guy. When you have things going on in your house you can get upset so he is very reassuring and calming. He is very thorough and knowledgeable.

Ed came at the specified time and performed the job. The couple of bees that we observed were eliminated however now we have huge flies and spiders in the house. When we called back to inquire about the flies situation (something that we never experienced before) he indicated that he can work with that but for an additional cost. As for the spiders he indicated that is up to us to kill them when we see them.

Great experience. The gentleman, Ed, called me back promptly, arrived on time, and took care of three issues of concern. Ants, mice, and a mysterious flying bug. He listened to our concerns about inhumane use of glue traps and provided s reasonable alternative. He kept chemicals out of the living area which was important since we have a young child and cat. He was very pleasant and professional.

My parents lawn was overrun with dozens of ground wasps, that dug holes all over their yard. Though not aggressive to humans, they dug dozens of holes in the yard, leaving mounds of dirt next to the holes. I called Ed, left a message on his voicemail and he called back that day. We set up an appointment, he treated the lawn for the agreed amount of $75.00. After he left we discovered more holes. He came right back for a follow-up treatment, free of charge and the problem went away. Ed couldn't have been nicer or more attentive and I'd recommend him to anyone.

THE EXTERMINATOR WAS ON TIME, VERY FRIENDLY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY GOT RID OF THE TERMITES THAT WERE EATING AWAY AT OUR HOME! I SHOPPED AROUND ON PRICE AND FOUND THAT THEY WERE ALSO REASONABLE. THE SERVICE CONTINUES TO BE WELL ABOVE AVERAGE WHICH IS WHY I CONTINUE TO USE THEM YEAR AFTER YEAR.
