It was a bad experience. He stuck me. As a matter of fact, I turned him in to Better Business Bureau and everything. I even turned him into the state attorney general's. There was a storm that went through. I had 60 ft pine trees in my yard. I had 9 pines that were damaged. He came in and he cut them up and was supposed to haul everything off. He wanted paid cash for it, which I did pay him cash. Well, he cut everything up and the second day he said he was coming back to finish it up tomorrow, could I pay him off, well, I did. Well, 6 months later, well,, seeing as this was October of last year, he's never come back to clean anything up. He left everything laying in my yard. So, I had to call somebody else and pay someone else who ended up cleaning it up. I would not recommend him to anybody. As a matter of fact, a few people who asked me who did my work and I said, "don't even touch him". All he wants is your money and he runs off. And, I heard this from a few people now. The storm was in October, he started the job in November, and then I was calling him every week/every couple weeks, "when are coming back? When are you coming back?" "Well, the ground's too soft, we have to wait for it to freeze". Then, when it froze, it was too cold for him to come out. Then his guys had to go deer hunting, so they couldn't come out. There was always an excuse as to why they couldn't come back out. I had talked to him up to probably, I'd say April/May, somewhere in there, when it was time to start cutting grass and I had trees still laying in my yard everywhere. So, I finally had to get somebody to come in and clean it up so I could cut grass. While they were here, I looked out the window one day, and one of their kids was laying up on my porch and when they were here doing something, they left water bottles laying around in my yard. The only reason that the price is an "F" was they only did half the job and I got stuck with the rest. I paid them and then he didn't finish the job. The $1200 I agreed on, that was fine. If he would have done the job, I would have been happy with that, but not coming back and me having to pay someone else to come and finish it, that's why I gave him an "F" on that. No way would I use him again. Everything that I could put a negative remark on, I did, as far as them. I just don't want anybody to get stuck with them again.

When I got home and saw the complete rape of the only trees on my property, needless to say I flipped out. The guy, Ron, was very nice and agreed to plant shrubs in order to replace my trees. This did not completely satisfy me, but at that point it was good enough and the best I was going to get since you cannot return the privacy and shade of 30 foot trees. He admitted they are NEVER allowed to cut down trees without the landowner's permission, and made a big mistake. I told him I only wanted the shrubs in the ground by the time the ground froze and we would be good, and closed the deal with a handshake. The neighbor who hired this company was nice enough to buy me some shrubs for the misunderstanding, I kept them in the pots and watered until they would be planted. In October 2012 I called to check in with Gibson's, and Ron said they had been busy but would still come and plant them. I heard nothing that fall or over the winter. The next spring, I still had no shrubs planted. I spoke to the owner and explained the situation, and they again promised to fix it. I told them I had checked the laws and would be contacting a lawyer if they didn't stick to the agreement, and they said there was no need to "be like that" and they would definitely come and make sure they planted shrubs to replace the large trees. The company did not return my calls all summer. August 2013 I got fed up with their lies and planted the shrubs myself, one full year after my this company illegally destroyed my property and only made empty promises in their attempt to make amends. I would never recommend them, and wouldn't trust them with a toothpick.
Description of Work: August 2012- My neighbor hired the company to cut down several trees next to my property. I was not home, and a completely different neighbor told them they should cut down 5- 30 ft trees on my side of the property line (which was clearly marked). They did so without asking my permission. A chainsaw in the hands of Gibson Tree Service ruined my back yard.

Description of Work: Took down two trees promptly. There was a good deal of yelling at each other but that seems to be somewhat common with contractors
