Our name (Twin Locust Barns) is sometimes mistaken as a "barn builder". Yes we build small barns, mini barns, and sheds. Maximum size is 28' x 32'. Our business is to build detached buildings, not attached additions. Sheds are sometimes converted to be "Man caves" and Studios, but are not typically used as a home.
Description of Work: After shopping around and getting quotes from multiple places in the Lancaster and surrounding areas, I decided to go with Twin Locust - was impressed with the quality and they beat most others by 200-500 dollars. Delivery man threaded the truck to the back yard and placed it exactly where I wanted. Only issue I had was a torn roof cap on the end which must have happened for short time storage prior to delivery. I called and was put on their list to fix simple problem. It has no bearing on structure or on water issues as it is the roof cap on the overhang part of the roof. Overall, VERY satisfied with entire deal.

It went super well. They gave us pretty specific site prep and some instructions, and told us that we could have it done or do it ourselves and save us timeline, and it's not that hard to do the work and encourage me to take the money and do it myself which I appreciated. The day that we actually bought the shed, the delivery guy showed up with his truck that can move different things and helped us out. Helped me moved the wood pile and also helped me re-stack it the whole time. He definitely went above and beyond anything that he really needed to do, in my opinion. There was log time between when we had ordered the shed and when they actually an deliver it and at one point I had called and I asked the sales guy about it and he actually came to my house to make sure it's going fit, he came out with a ruler, take the measurements and gave me a little advise. It was a positive experience. Their price was comparable to others.
Description of Work: I used Twin Locust Barns for a new shed.

I know very little about sheds. I have never used, owned, built, or had one installed. When I told Twin Locust about my proposed placement of the shed I asked for their expertise in determining whether or not my proposed location was feasible. They assured me they could place the shed on a small incline by making a foundation of wooden boards and crushed stone. On the planned morning of the installation I spoke with Mr. Petersheim at my house about the condition of the ground because there had been a lot of rain. I specifically asked for his professional opinion as to whether or not he could install the shed under such conditions. He said it was possible. I left for work and when I came home my yard was destroyed. According to neighbors and my mother who witnessed these happenings, Mr. Petersheim and Twin Locust employees got a truck filled with stone stuck in my backyard. They called for a tow truck which also had difficulty and tore up my lawn. They destroyed large swathes of grass and left deep ruts over a large area of my lawn. When I contacted the owner of the company with photos and a description of the incident he said that maybe they should not have listened to a customer's demands and should have made a decision themselves. He implied that I demanded to have the shed installed under any circumstances which was a lie. I had asked for them to follow their professional opinion and was fine with waiting for installation; I was never demanding. I think maybe Mr. Petersheim just wanted to place the blame for his mistakes on me which is extremely unprofessional. Twin Locust refused to pay for any repairs to my lawn and 8 months and over $1,000 of professional help and material purchases later we are still trying to fix the damage they did to our lawn. They blamed me for their mistake and I ended up paying for it. Twin Locusts and Mr. Petersheim treated me in an unprofessional manner and I would not recommend their services.
Description of Work: Twin Locust Barns built us a shed and installed the shed in our backyard. They set the shed into the side of a small incline so they dug a foundation and filled it with stone to keep the shed level.
