 + -1 moreI talked to Novak Masonry Contracting and we had two or three meetings concerning the work I wanted done and he just never contacted me again, after we had made plans and everything, so it was kind of strange. He was not really very responsive. We ended up never doing the project because he just never got back to me. He had even giving me a date that he thought he would start. I hadn't paid him a deposit or anything yet, thankfully, but I thought we were pretty much planning for the date that he told me. I called him several times around that week that I thought we were starting and just have never heard back from him. It was a reasonable quote and I like how he was going to approach it. He seemed like a nice guy and everything. But he wasted a lot of my time.
Description of Work: I got an estimate for some work I wanted done. It was a dig-out of an area by our garage, to make like a concrete parking pad. He was going to dig it out and make a retaining wall and putting down concrete, for a parking area.

 + 1 moreVerything went well, they were on schedule and finished on schedule. There was a slight problem with the door not closing properly but Sean (owner) came out 2 days later and fixed the problem. All's well!
Description of Work: Sean Novak and his crew constructed a superb garden house/shed from scratch with wood and vinyl siding over a period of 2 days. I'm completely please with the job and will hire them for another project soon.

 + -1 moreThe entire job went very well. There were some minor delays due to the rainy weather and some miniscule flaws that were immediately corrected upon notification. Sean and his crew are very thorough and it's clear that they want to please and make their customers happy.
Description of Work: Sean Novak and his crew worked on my property for 3 weeks. They completely rebuilt steps and small front porch of my home. In addition, they built a small roof over the porch. The material used for the steps and porch is pebbled concrete that was later stained to a beautiful finish. They also custom-made and installed a wrought-iron railing around the porch and steps. They installed a beautiful new glass screen door and matched the frame-color exactly to the painted door surround, touched up the surround and repainted where necessary. In addition, they patched various cracks in my walk and house and re-caulked around a glass-block window. They also reconstructed 1/3 of my driveway in concrete and built a great drain in front of my garage. Furthermore, they installed and diverted gutters to drain underground. In the rear of my home, they covered another small porch in slate and re-stained my privacy fence, pergola and porch roof. Furthermore, they painted my garage and re-built and painted a storage closet in my basement. BTW, you have the wrong address listed for SEAN NOVAK CONTRACTING. He's located in New Kensington, PA
