My initial consultation for my mold problem took place a few days after I called. Mike came to the house and examined the house very thoroughly, explaining in detail to me the methods and products used by the company. He was very forthright about the problem I had on my hands but also assured me that the company is well equipped to handle the issues. I received the test results via email very promptly, along with a proposal and quote for the job. This promptness is rare, as most homeowners know. A week or so later, Mike called to follow up on the information he had sent me, which had been a lot to take in. He answered all my questions patiently and in detail and made clear that he is available should I have further questions about the job. We had several conversations after that. Each time I raised a question or concern, Mike considered it and responded fully. Once I had considered all the information, and information from another company, I was certain that Mold Men was the company for the job. This was a big job ? completed over three days ? and it involved significant tearout. Once the crew began moving items in what had been a packed garage, they found additional mold. I was called and apprised of the situation, and the crew performed additional tearout as needed. The house was left clean and tidy, and the job was completed ahead of schedule. (The original estimate had included a fourth day.) I could not be more pleased with the experience from beginning to end.

I wish all companies ran as well as Mold Men..They arrived when promised, thoroughly explained what was being done, were very neat ,polite and professional..A job well done! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.

In the middle of the process of selling our house, the home inspection revealed mold in the basement. Mold Men was one of three companies that came to the house to provide estimates for remediation. Matt of Mold Men performed the actual lab testing on the house and gave us results. Because we were the sellers, we were interested in cost containment for remediation. The bids came back all over the board, and Mold Men were the highest. We ended up going with the middle bid because it provided significant savings but we felt confident the problem would be addressed. That said, if we had been the buyers and not the sellers, and were interested in the long run in the house, we would have gone with Mold Men. They are state of the art in testing, that's for sure, and my conversations with Matt Davis gave me confidence that he really knows his stuff. He is very honest and personable and came to the house on short notice to give a free estimate. Even when I told him that we had gone with a lower bid, he was friendly and understanding.

Salesman was responsible and gave me a good bid. The 2 guys that did the mold removal in my attic did a good job as far as I know. They worked hard for 2 days and they informed me of the process very well. I recommend this company.

I contacted 3 mold companies from Angie's List, and Mold Men of Pgh was the only company to contact me back. They worked around my travel schedule to get the job done in a matter of days and worked both with me while I was out of state, but coordinated with my general contractor to get the work done by a very tight schedule. I would highly recommend this company.

The company was very easy to deal with. Work was completed on time and professionally. A good value and a job well done.

They came out promptly and not only looked at this area but other areas In our basement to be sure there were no other problem areas. They did find one in the laundry room that may be caused by a faulty downspout. I am now contacting another contractor to look at that issue. I must give credit to all three people I dealt with: 1). Stu - the sales person who was my initial contact, 2) Randy and Sam - the field people who came out to do the work. They did not mind my questions at all, and were happy to explain the process. I like to learn as much as I can about any contracting work that is being done to educate myself. That way if anything similar happens again, I understand it and know who to call, it also helps me to then refer a contractor to my friends if they have a similar issue. I can explain to them what the contractor found in our house to help them make a decision on what they need to do and who This was a one day job and they did everything to my satisfaction. My basement smells fresher and cleaner. I have confidence I can move on to the next phase of this project knowing we are not covering up a problem that could fester behind the new walls we put up. We needed to remediate mold that had built up in our attic in order to close on our house. We reached out to a few companies but Mold Men of Pittsburgh offered the best price. They were able to schedule us in quickly due to the short timeframe we were under. They were extremely professional, friendly, and provided us the steps they were going to take to finish the job. They did an outstanding job with the workmanship and we would highly recommend them.

Contacted Mold Men whenever we discovered that a drain pipe behind our kitchen wall had corroded and had been dumping water into the wall. It turned out that we had a significant amount of mold behind the wall due to this and they came and did a remediation job for us. They were very professional and had the job done in a few hours. They recommended another assessment due to the mold extending beyond the frame of the sink cabinet. We scheduled another date and they came and removed the cabinets, opened the walls, cleaned the mold, and rebuilt everything. They even replaced all my plumbing fixtures and added support systems to my cabinets. This team knew what they were doing.

I used Men of Mold for the mold removal in my basement. The home that I purchased had extensive water damage and mold that was continually growing. I contacted Men of Mold for a free estimate. I was in contact with Matt who provides estimates for the company. Matt was on time, very professional and extremely informative. He explained everything to me in great detail and took precise measurements to provide me with an accurate estimate. Matt sent me the descriptive estimate within a few days; he itemized everything for me, just as I asked him to do. Men of Mold also had a $150 off coupon posted on Angie?s List hat I was able to use for the services provided. My mold removal took place in June, 2014. The men that treated the mold were prompt and professional. They did a fantastic job with the removal. They treated every square foot of the basement to completely remove the mold. Overall, I was VERY pleased with my services from Men of Mold of Pittsburgh. I would highly recommend them and gladly use them again in the future.

Class act - from the initial point of contact. Returned my calls promptly, clear about what would be done and price. Workers came today and again reviewed what would be done and the process. No add on prices. Would absolutely use them again if I had a problem and would recommend them to anyone. a+++

We were very greatly satisfied with them. They were very professional and they cleaned up very good. They kept in contact with us and let us know what was going on.

They did perfect work. They were on time, finished the work with a tight schedule, cleaned up the area, and were on budget.

They were recommended by the insurance company and it turned out bad. State Farm said they were on the top of the list. It took them 6 months to fix the problem and no one understood why. They only did about 90% of it. They are a restoration company, so they don't have specialists. They lie and say they are pros at one thing, but they are not. They are a jack-of-all-trades. There are problems with the tile work. None of them were experts. I would complain to the insurance company. An agent would come out and say that the work was not right. Nothing was leveled. The insurance company made them redo all of it. They would come one day and then not show up for a week. We would leave messages and then they would never call us back. They didn't want to move the toilet out of the bathroom and so they put it in the tub. It was one thing after another. They didn't line up the pedestal so it was not secure. They knicked and scratched everything. They charged the insurance company for work they didn't even do.

I worked with Scott. He was individual who gave me the estimate and coordinated the service. He was very involved in the process and helpful along the way. I ended up filing the damage through my insurance company and he was proactive in contacting them and moving the process along. The left the site very clean and left their construction ready so when I get a contractor to rebuild the walls, they can jump right in. Highly recommended and very professional.

A date and time for the service was set for about a week later. A team of two men arrived on that date and started the process. All work areas were sealed off from the rest of the house while they killed the mold with a 17% Hydrogen Peroxide solution and other means. This took 2 days. When they finished they set up a large Heppa Filter and ran it 3 days to clean the air in our house. At the end of this period testing was completed to insure no mold spores remained. Our home now mold free and our lives were not interrupted in the process.

Mold Men showed up on time and the technician was personable. He wanted to remove all my contents to their location for cleaning which I thought would be very expensive and it was. They wanted to charge us an additional fee for air testing even though the mold was significant. To me I think this should have done to confirm what type of mold there was and if it was dangerous before wanting to charge me for remove my property at a big expense. Because the technician said would be using chemicals applied by a sprayer in our house I asked for MSDS sheets which I never received. When they followed up to see if they got the job I said I needed more estimates and they offered to cut the price to get the job. In my opinion the best price should be presented first. Knowing that our health is important and after doing much research I would only call someone who is CMI (Certified Mold Inspector) & CMA (Certified Mold Assessor) & CIAQT (Certified Indoor Air Quality Technician) such as HomePlusIsUs who has these credentials. Mr Lampl of HomePlusIsUs spent triple the time with us giving us the science behind mold removal vs. Mold Men who had to go to another appointment. So would you want your mold removed by someone you could have a beer with or someone who is certified, experienced, provides the scientific facts, and treats your family's health as important as his own? To me I dont need another drinking buddy, I need a serious and concerned professional who treats me like his closest family member.

Very professional. All personnel knowledgeable, punctual. Reasonable rates. Courteous and helpful. Job was done as quickly as possible and was very thorough. Would use them again if needed and would recommend them to others.

Fire Pro was able to respond immediately. The team quickly pulled out water damaged material and began mold treatment and drying processes. Very professional, patient, and compassionate.

Mold Men of Pittsburgh did a fantastic job of removing the mold found in our home. They came in and tested, found the problem areas and explored explored the nature of the problem. (Water from a bad roofing job, confirmed by roofer) They then removed the mold (while fans sucked the air out of the quarantined rooms) their products are "green". They then came back after we fixed the roofing trouble spots and disinfected and retested. I want to give a particular mention to Mike, the supervisor on our job, he was so patient with us answering our questions and explaining the process. He went above and beyond in my opinion. Everyone I worked with was very professional.

We engaged another contractor prior to Mold Men. We were unhappy, and very thankful that we found Mold Men. Once I called, Scott was very prompt in scheduling a time to view the area, perform testing.. which was very thorough and schedule the remediation and demolition. Needless to say, going through something like this is very stressful. My biggest concern was for my children, when you think of exposure to mold or other contaminants your mind can wonder. Mold Men ensured the area was contained and all work performed was done with such a streamlined process that my concerns were alleviated. They were neat and cleaned up after work was performed. Once remediation is performed, they performed a post test to ensure everything tested in acceptable ranges. Unfortunately, in our case the numbers came back high and another round of remediation was necessary. They performed the second round at no charge which to be honest, I expected however it was nice that I did not have to ask for it, they just did it. Scott was very accessible. His men were very pleasant and efficient. . The pricing was very reasonable as we did have other quotes. We had a very good experience using Mold Men of Pittsburgh. No need to look further, this company comes highly recommended.

Stu was very thorough in looking throughout the home for areas of potential mold. He educated us as he went and was very patient with the many questions we had. He was here almost 2 hours and finished by testing every floor of the home as well as the outside to get the most relative comparison. Thankfully the test came back with very low readings and Stu honestly advised no further work was necessary. He suggested some areas to watch and offered any help we needed in the near future if things should change. I want to thank him for his honesty, professionalism, knowledge, diligence and empathy. A true professional. As as sales person myself, I hate to be sold. Stu is a tremendous value to Mold Men. I would highly recommend him and his organization.

Very professional staff - especially Scott - - knowledgeable assessment of what was needed, no problem in scheduling to fit my timeframe, excellent technicians performed the work with respect. Would not hesitate to use them again if needed.

They know their stuff. Further, they seem to take pride in getting the job done right. I think I paid for an additional test, which isn't included in the above cost. I suggest not letting them know that you got their name from Angie's list, so they don't take into account the discount coupon when they give you a quotation.

The report was done quickly, professionally and there was a follow-up call to make sure everything was in order or if there were any questions.
