Our service technician was very professional and went above and beyond to identify the problem with our electric system. Other companies have come to our home and ran though a few standard tests, but SEC went above and beyond. Very personable and friendly.

We were very pleased with the service and the knowledge of technician.

Everything went very well. Rich arrived on time and worked in a timely manner. He explained each repair and was very informative when I asked questions. I have used SES in the past and will always keep them on speed dial for future repairs.

They were scheduled to come out at 8AM on a Tuesday morning to do an estimate on repairing a spotlight that was tripping, as well as adding a couple of outlets. I waited until 830 and had not heard anything. At that point, I went into work (I scheduled the appointment at 8AM for a reason), and finally got a call from the technician at 9AM; he left a message informing me he'd be there at 915. I then called the office and informed them I wasn't there and they should inform their technician that he should turn around. Cathy was very apologetic and easy to deal with; however, I don't understand how it's acceptable to be over an hour late to an appointment. I don't have the time or the patience to sit around and wait on Tuesday. I would be more understanding if another appointment ran over, but this was scheduled first thing and there was no communication that they would be late. They wasted my time. Furthermore, I felt a little jerked around by them several weeks earlier when I had an appointment scheduled on a Tuesday morning (first thing) and they called the previous Thursday to try and reschedule. In good faith, I figured they were being honest and I let it slide. However, after the latest incident, I would not want to hire them; I'm not comfortable relying on people to work on my home if they can't hold an appointment.

Have used them numerous times. Service men have always been on time, they get right to work, explain everything to me in detail, so I can understand the issues. Very helpful people from scheduling to the end of service.

Service was friendly and efficient. Technicians explained what he was doing all alone. Punctual, polite and helpful.

The electrician arrived within 30 minutes of our call. He diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes. A power surge outage that needed the electrical company. He told us how to deal with them and his advice proved extremely useful and saved us money.

Everything was in working order before the technician left. I haven't had to use it yet but I'm ready if we have a power outage.

I have used these folks a couple of times. They are always on time and they know what they are doing! Their prices are very reasonable. I cannot say enough good things about this company.

I called them back because it wasn’t working and they came right back and re-did it because they used the wrong part. They got the job competed in 2 days. The cleanup was fine.

SES turned out to be the most reasonable, professional, knowledgeable, and helpful on their quotes. They were willing to install the pad for the generator unlike other electrical contractors we reviewed. Unfortunately, the quote came back much higher than we could afford at the time. We will call on them again when we can afford to install the generator.

Everything went well. They provided the quote in writing and followed up with us several times. When we decide to put in a back-up generator we will have SES put it in.

They provided all materials and supplies. The job was completed neatly and professionally and the serviceman answered all questions during the call. He then provided a test of the system electrical backup capabilities. Overall I was well pleased, but discovered that extended warranty service protection was quite costly and offered no major advantages over having the service maintenance done professionally each year. To do it myself would save some money but the existing warranty "high suggested" it be done professionally in order to keep the warranty coverage in effective (for the included 3-year period). I thought the price of $250 was quite high for an oil and oil filter change, spark plug change, air filter change and electrical system check. I may shop around for a better price by another authorized dealer in the area.

They finished the job to our satisfaction. We have yet to have it inspected, though, but I trust that it will pass. However, they did underestimate the complexity of our knob&tube, which originates from 1926 but is so complex and expansive that we basically did not need new outlets (except a few), just replacements. Anyway, it took them a day longer than originally scheduled (four instead of three days), and along the way they were a little sloppy with documenting what wire went where, so some circuits they managed to get working only after several hours of try-and-error. That wasn't exactly the pinnacle of professionalism, but they straightened it out after all -- and went out of their way to accommodate a few extra issues we had beyond the original estimate. So, since our house's old wiring was very eccentric, I'm not holding that up against them. update ( Jan 5, 2013): The inspector was pleased with the job and okayed it.

I had no problems with them whatsoever. I would actually use them again for electrical work I have. They did an excellent job. They cleaned up after themselves. It is just a very great company to have work too. They are definitely quick enough. I had a problem with the generator, and they were here prior to two or three hours to fix it.

They just didn’t have everything we were looking for.
