Description of Work: When the 28 year old opener on my garage door finally failed, I thought of going to Sears and buying a replacement unit and installing it myself but I wanted a professional to evaluate the track and rollers and to provide some guidance on the various types of units now available. Bill, the owner of Aull Door Co, returned my call for service the same day and was able to schedule installation of a new unit in just two days. He advised me of the relatively short life span (2 year average) and high replacement cost of the batteries in the battery back-up units--I chose not to get that type. He evaluated the track and existing (28 year old) rollers and recommended new nylon/ball bearing rollers. He also pointed out that the torsion style counterbalance springs should be lubricated periodically--something you don't need to do with extension type springs--but something I had never considered with the torsion springs. Might have had something to do with the fact that one of the original torsion springs broke a few years back--was replaced at the time by a different contractor.Bill replaced the rollers and installed the new opener in a couple of hours. He is an expert in the field (also does commercial work) and only uses quality materials. I am very pleased with the work and believe I got good value for the money spent.

+ -1 moreThe owner did the work himself. It was a very pleasant experience. He really went out of his way to help me. He was very professional and did a great job. I recommened him to my neighbors, and I would use him again in a heartbeat.
