Description of Work: Rob came out to our house, as he said he would. He took measurements and listened to my ideas and made some suggestions of his own. He told me it would take about 1.5 weeks to get my design plans. He was nice and was on time and his ideas sounded good, so I was anxious to see the re-design of our kitchen I was seeking. That was more than a month ago. No contact from him, at all. I could call him, but why shouldn't he follow up with his potential customers? I am very disappointed. But I've contacted another designer.

Description of Work: 1960 Bathroom remodeled, total gut and rebuild. Tore out old tile, plumbing, subfloor. Redesigned and installed tile shower, tile floor and walks, moved plumbing and electrical, installed wainscoting, painted.

Description of Work: We only did the initial kitchen planning so far. Due to family issues, we had to reschedule on multiple occasions and the representative was very patient and understanding. When we finally did meet, he was very knowledgeable and upfront- but open minded. He was not pushy at all. We now have a great plan and look forward to our home improvement.

Description of Work: For now we have only used the provider for the design that was allotted for the $49 fee. We are still considering what to do with the room.

Description of Work: Had Eli, a wonderful carpenter, install an oak parquet floor in a large 18 x 18 bedroom. Took a lot of patience and skill to get all the little parquet pieces cut and glued around the edge of the floor. The floor looks beautiful and we are very happy with the results. Description of Work: Took out a wall and installed a new kitchen/Grand room. Custom cabinets, Granite counter tops, tile back splash, re-routed electrical and plumbing. Rob did an awsome job addressing the complications that pop up during an extensive remodel. Nice finish work.

Description of Work: Created design for new bathroom

Description of Work: Rob Wright from Crooked Stick Remodeling designed a major kitchen and bathroom remodel for us. Our house was built in 1887 so the project presented some challenges - old plumbing, old electrical lines and crooked walls, doorframes and floors. Rob and his team totally moved the bathroom area to make it more accessible to other living spaces, created a new laundry closet and opened up load-bearing wall to give us a spacious kitchen area. Rob has great vision and I appreciated how much he listened to us as we were expressing our priorities. Rob respected and appreciated the age and character of our home and with the remodel, he gave us a nice blend of modern functionality in combination with some rustic accents and preservation of some original pieces of the home. Two of the standout features are the barn door and slide function that he created for our laundry closet (our house was originally an old farm house)and the re-use of one of the original doors that he cut in half and left rustic to that we could use it as a pantry door. Overall, the project went well. There were some delays in the completion of the project and it extended longer than any of us envisioned, but we were able to work together to negotiate revisions to the timeline. I think we found it helpful to communicate with Rob by email so that we could communicate our decisions and questions to him. We used our emails as a tracking system to navigate the many details of the project. Rob has made himself available to do some tweaking with some of the remodel features and functions and has continued conversations with us in regards to troubleshooting ways that we can generate more heat in the kitchen and bathroom areas. I would trust Rob to do another major project. Rob is very polite, down to earth and professional and he was wonderful with accommodating the needs of our cats throughout the project.

Description of Work: Gave us an estimate and details of proposed kitchen remodeling. We have not decided yet on when or how to proceed and type of appliances we would choose. He definitely gave us a clear idea on how to proceed and what would work in the limited spaces available.

Description of Work: Was called by vendor, said he did not service this area in Lancaster, zip code 17601. Submitted for refund. Too bad. Need to fix your overall rating to be able to accept a N/A rating which this should have been. Cannot say anything at all about this vendor except that he did call to tell me.

Description of Work: 1. Bought the Big Deal February 18, 2013 2. Provider emailed on February 20, 2013 to state that I was out of the service area. 3. I replied to let him know that my property was within the service area but I lived out of state. 4. The provider and I set up a time to meet at the property which was to be March 1, 2013 at 11am. 5. On March 1, 2013 the provider called and left me a voicemail stating that he had a family emergency and therefore was canceling our appointment. 6. On March 3, 2013 I received an email from the provider to reschedule our appointment. 7. I replied to his email on March 4, 2013 stating the exact day (Friday March 15, 2013) I would be back in town and able to meet. 8. To date (9 days later), I have not heard a word from him. I have since requested a refund from Angie's List for the lack of professionalism and plan on going with someone more reliable.

Description of Work: We were seriously thinking about using Crooked Stick, but the economy took a down turn at that point. His initial pricing was very fair but with a few changes , his price was up to the original contractor we were going to use$$$. He was very professional, prompt and very willing to listen to our concerns. The big issue my husband had was that he wouldn't itemize his bills so we could see the total cost of each item/category. that was a 'red flag' from my husbands point of view and he would not proceed.
