MF ROCKEY MOVING & STORAGE- Allied Van Lines

We did not use MF Rockey but we did use the Allied franchise in Tampa, FL, Werner-Donaldson. Our move was awful. We had a careless driver who did nothing to properly supervise the packing and loading of the truck. The actual work was performed by two guys who looked and acted like untrained day laborers. As a result we had excessive damage to our furniture and Allied Van Lines has denied much of the damage. What little damage they DID take responsibility for was compensated at minimal value, in spite of the fact that we purchased the "full replacement" insurance at premium cost. Also, we were never given a certified scale ticket for our load. Instead, we were charged at the estimated weight which we believe was inflated by 15-20%. Bottom line is, I don't know much about MF Rockey but I can warn all members to avoid the parent franchise, Allied Van Lines, because they do little to protect the consumer from unscrupulous practices by the local freight agent who actually handle the move.

This was a horrible experience. I wouldn't even know where to begin. Damage, rudeness and more. One year later and we're still finding damages. We had to repair the old how before we left, too.

The night before my scheduled move MF Rockey called to tell me the movers wouldn't arrive until 11:30 AM because they were doing a "small job" in the morning. Long story short, the 11:30 turned into 12:30 and finally into 2:30. I didn't start the moving process until 2:30 in the afternoon!! This, after they had promised me an 8:30 AM time slot. To boot, the estimate I received nearly doubled by the time all things were said and done. The bright side? The moving team was extremely professional. They saved the day.
