Where to start. Asking $142.20 just for a quote (it went from $60 to $142 for some reason. Might have to get my credit card involved since this is clearly just a scam.) just to come out and to look at something and then tell me I need the whole thing replaced for $5000 is a simply a scam. They want to dig up the whole first section of a septic tank just so that they can unscrew a pipe and lift up the pump, instead of just reaching into the tank, unscrewing the pipe and lifting up the pump. Avoid David Leroy Plumbing Inc. and go with Espenshade's Plumbing & Heating, Inc. (espenshades.com), they will do the job for 5 times less and they won't be digging up your yard just to unscrew a pipe.

Very bad service. The AC was dead as a doornail after it was supposedly serviced. The blower unit and ignitor were supposedly serviced but the heat didn't kick on when the gas company came out. I had to shut off the power and tighten the electric connection. The whole unit was left filthy without a filter the plumber for the water leak said he was getting parts. He was underneath the house but he never returned bcz I said the house was vacant for a year and their were needles in the far left hand side of the crawl space. I have all the pics and my friend Bobin, who owns the place, had pics and Slate House Plumbing also has pics that there was no danger, otherwise, I would have never went under the house. Their plumber obviously went under the house as he was going to get parts and never saw a needle but claimed I said there were needles two feet from the outside of the house where he was under during broad daylight. They charged my friend Bobin $440 for nothing. They claimed I threatened the water company. If I did, I'd be in jail or have charges.i have over 20 pics and so does Bobin that work. Was never done

**BEWARE, *Soft Targets*! (i.e. ladies, elderly and immigrants) Had a bad experience with this company. Told them I"m getting a strange residue/dust particles in my kitchen faucet. David Leroy rep (Plumber No. 1) came out 5/15/19, and 'immediately' upon looking at my tap water, said: "that's hard water, just lookin' at it, that's hard water!' I shrugged, let him continue, he proceeded with his hard sell of a $3,000 'soft water unit' (%$#!) that would take care of the problem. I didn't 'buy' his assessment; after conferring with multiple neighbors who had no signs of residue, nor did they have a soft water unit in their basement. Plus I thought he jumped to this pretty quick, w/o looking closely at my faucet/etc. Phoned them, expressed my doubt. They offered to have the reps supervisor come out and re-do; but at this point, I"m already feeling, your company has already revealed its 'business strategy'. Had Plumber No. 2 come out from another company. TOTALLY different experience. HE immediately said, that's NOT hard water, there's more to it. Spent almost an hour detaching aerators to faucet, opening hot water tank, inspecting bathroom faucet, etc etc. Very personable, very concerned, very honest - admitting that he couldn't say for certain and he narrowed it down to a few theories, plus advised me to get water company to test it. Now, here's the real kicker, after he opened up my faucets, much residue came out, leading 'me' to believe some small piece or hosing part may have failed and broke down, inside kitchen faucet. Plumber No. 2 said to continue to monitor it, because his other theories are still on the table and if the residue returns, we'll have to address those other theories. I'll take Plumber No. 2 any day of the week over DAVID LiEROY! David LiEROY charged me $69 service fee - that's my hard-earned money that I'm spending for his 'SKILL' set. Instead it bought me a sales pitch. I'm mad at myself for phoning DL first, as they are always listed as the BIG company, popping up at the top of Google "plumber" searches!! Well, hear this: BIGGEST is not always BEST; and certainly not always HONEST. *You really have to wonder how they came to be the "biggest." Now excuse me while I give my 5-star rating to Plumber No. 2 ... (And DL, save me your 'please call office to discuss...' reply because I already called yesterday and rec'd no call back.) (Oh and do your due diligence, because there are other reviews buried here where others have encountered this.) Oh and I should also add that the water company tested my water and they said it's perfectly in their range of chemicals / minerals etc. What a 'hard' lesson, I learned!

The service went extremely well. David, The technician, was excellent. Very thorough, explained in sufficient detail what he did. He inspected the units in the attic and outside, tested and cleaned everything. He wore protective covers on his shoes so as not to track any debris into the house, which we appreciated. This is important and professional. He checked in with his supervisor on a matter regarding the test unit for the refrigerant coils. Everything checked out and he advised that our system was functioning properly. We are very pleased with the work. The cost was very reasonable. We will schedule David Leroy for any work in the future and we recommend the company highly to anyone looking for excellent AC service.

STEER CLEAR!! I recently had these folks come out for a normal seasonal tune up for my 6 year old carrier heat pump system, everything was functioning normally. Minutes after their arrival the man came down from the attic and said casually that he thought there was a leak in my evap coil and gave a rough quote of over 2800 dollars to replace. He issisted on having his “supervisor” (David Leroy Himself) come out and “verify the diagnosis”. Upon Mr. Leroy’s arrival he proceeded to the attic where I heard him spend very little time verifying and lots of time praising the technician and discussing financing while they believed I was out of earshot. Mr. Leroy later confirmed the quote the original technician supplied but suggested I do a full air handler replacement or better yet a full system replacement quoting 5k and 8k respectively. Needless to say I was skeptical to say the least. Before making such a large investment I decided to have their sketchy “ diagnosis “ verified by another company . After having F M Berkheimer and Zimmerman to my house who disputed Mr. Leroy’s findings after extensive checks, it became clear, there was NO issue. I contacted Mr. Leroy who provided his contact card after his quotes and confronted him the information I had gathered. I requested that he refund the money I had paid for his “tune up” since I had now spent twice as much to check his work, finding nothing. Mr. Leroy refused any type of refund without coming back out to my residence, something I refused to allow after all of the shady dealings up until the current. Mr. Leroy was emphatic that his diagnosis was legitimate and said they test in “special ways” that other company’s do not, providing no specifics. He said that I could come with him to the attic this time and he’d show me what was wrong, something both of the other company’s had already done. After I made it clear I did not want him at my residence he became upset because I wasn’t being “fair” at which point I ended the conversation. Stay away from this company!

Everything went great, no complaints about the plumbing services at all. They were professional, well informed and courteous. The only issue I had was the price, which is listed on this review as the cost of service. They're not cheap. I would hire again for plumbing because they did not' seem out of line for those services. Also because they told me that they will put install user provided parts. However, the HVAC estimate seemed way too high. They only charged $109 for the estimate, which they called a Tune-Up/Inspection of the HVAC systems. That's not part of the $462 listed on this review, it was billed separately from the plumbing service. They were courteous enough and seemed plenty knowledgeable. But they would not split the estimate so I could see how much parts were. Also, they told me they would not install user supplied AC stuff. I will be getting a couple more estimates. But to me, it was a big red flag that they won't even consider doing user-supplied parts no matter what I'd be willing to sign regarding their liability. My gut says I probably won't go with them for the AC work, but we'll see once I have a couple more estimates in hand. If I find I am wrong, I'll come back and revise this review accordingly. Overall, I gave them a D on pricing. I'm pretty sure the plumbing would have been had I known what was needed and bought the stuff at Home Depot and hired them to just do the work. I'll change the D on pricing to a C if I find that I'm way off base on the HVAC estimate.

Eric was knowledgeable, courteous and professional. He had a trainee with him and I overheard much of what was said since I was close by in the next room. He's not only good at what he does, but also at conveying his knowledge to both customer and trainee. He informed me of what needed to be replaced to fix the immediate problem and also made recommendations about making the drain work better by eliminating extraneous bends and installing a vent to speed drainage by preventing an airlock. While the price for service was on the higher side, I can attest that you get what you pay for. I could not hold Eric in higher regard and I would absolutely hire him again and recommend him.

Perfect, and didn't try to upsell me for some uneeded product. In fact, they advertised "waive service fee for local zip codes". I imagine the unit disassembly and clean was by itself an $89 value. And that's all I paid,,, not $89 plus a $69 service call
Description of Work: AC compressor froze up, after thawing out, still did not throw cold air. While waiting for owner to show up (yep I really got the owner) , I realized filters were very dirty, so cleaned them. Air was still not cold. When he arrived, he checked the A coil, and it also was very dirty/clogged. He cleaned this then did a quick check of the whole system, including actually measuring the temp of the output air, (not just sticking a hand in front of a vent)

I used their service last week and I really want to share my experience with them. First of all, I was misrepresented by their agent when they told me they charge for quote fee only if the plumber comes during out of service hours. Since I was using plumber for first time, I was little worried about their cost which is why I checked this before hand. After plumber came they charged me an exorbitant rate of $375 to change my kitchen faucet. I asked them the time to fix it and it would be between 1-2hours. It was too expensive for me and when I declined their service the plumber gave bill for inspection fee. He was adamant that it needs to be paid and I called the customer service again to raise my concern. The manager who took the call not only did not hear my concern but was very disrespectful which was what prompted me to write this review. I will pay the $69 fee as I do not want my credit history to be affected. I called another service Roto-rooter who offered a free quote option and their quote was $225. The plumber from Roto-rooter who came was very courteous and even offered to fix another leak issue at my house for no additional cost. Please be wary of this firm as they are really pricey. You can get much better options at lower price.

Our well stopped working on a weekend. The company we normally use did not have an emergency response, so we called David LeRoy. They responded within minutes and came by later that day. David diagnosed the situation. David came back early the next day (Valentine's Day) to fix the problem. He fixed the problem and put in the proper spacers - the absence of them contributed to the problem. David kept me informed about what was happening along the way. I was very pleased with the work performed by David LeRoy.
Description of Work: Our well pump stopped working. It was the result of the casing of one of the wires being rubbed away. A section of the wire had to be replaced along with other wires that were also showing considerable wear. This happened one foot away from the pump.

Had a well pump installed in January, 2015 by David LeRoy plumbing. Recently, started having low water pressure problems. Called David LeRoy since they had installed originally. Had a next day appointment. Arrived on time, checked out the pump, and without debate ordered and installed a new pump under warranty. Job done in 4 hours, and back in business. Reps were excellent. We received a letter from the township that the sewer lateral was leaking ground water into the main. Since the house was under contract and the settlement date was a week away we need a price on repairing the lateral. The company responded very quickly, met me at the house and provided a quote with a very short time window. The price was astronomically high, higher then I could even justify. Now I know that businesses are free to set their own pricing but they were 68% higher than another reputable company that I ended up choosing. Just make sure you get a second bid before making a choice of contractors. I would not have submitted a bad review were the price even reasonable.

I have used David Leroy Plumbing in the past for all preventative maintenance as well as emergent issues and the technicians and office staff are always 100%!! The last emergency was frozen water pipes that burst. The technician suggested running the water lines behind kitchen cabinetry instead of below floor in crawl space to avoid freezing. I was pleased at the lower cost than projected to complete this as well as the timely manner in which the work was scheduled and completed. I would highly recommend David Leroy Plumbing to anyone.

We have a cranky geo-thermal system installed in 1998 which has been giving us trouble recenrtly. We had a number of items replaced and with the installation of the coil, it sure now be good for another several years. A new one would have cost $11,000, which would bgwe steep, even with the $3,000 tax credit, so we opted for the upgrade. The upgrade took about 5 hours. The technician noticed a leak in one of the kitchen pipes, and arranged for a plumber to come tomorrow to make repairs. I appreciate that the wokrmen always check other items to ensure that they are working right also..
