Not only were they punctual, but exceeded my expectations. The speed that they worked at was fast!!! The trim was out and in and painted in 2 days. Crown mold as well as all base and door casing. The workmanship was top notch. I built the house myself but a car accident prohibits me from doing the work myself now. The attention to detail is what impressed me most. Martin took the time to match up trim exactly instead of using what he had on site. I know this took him an extra 2 hours of time and sounds trivial, but that attention to detail is what sets him apart from so many other contractors. I will continue to reccomend his company to anyone that asks.

I have nothing but good things to say about him. He did a good job and I was very pleased.

The first week was fast.The crew arrived on a monday and started tearing out the stud walls and the old suspended ceiling. within a week the basement was bare and then the insulation. studs and drywall began to be placed. They were careful but speedy Electrical placement of lights were determined. Placement of the wet bar was decided and we ordered a cabinet and sink. Hoping it would be back by the time it was to be installed, it was. Mr. Hartel's wrecking crew was hard working , steady.and neat. We decided on the color of tile for the bathroom and layout that we wanted and purchased it. The insulation, ceilings and walls now competed. The bathroom and shower was tiled and cabinet with faucet was installed. Because of the family height the cabinet was raised, Hartel did a great customize job on the cabinet. It is distinctive and we love it. a quality job. Once the bathroom was finished. Hartel installed a laminate floor in the office area painted and created doors to fit on the utility room entrance. When the job was completed we were more than pleased. We are jumping with excitement.. Hartel and his crew are professional efficient, reliable, and punctual, We did get several estimates along with Mr. Hartels and found him to be the best candidate for the job base on his past job performances and competitive pricing. We are thrilled with the results.

I had a nightmare experience with a contractor who had to be told to leave the job. Martin and his team not only completed the job of installing a new composite deck on our second floor, he identified and fixed the other contractor's errors. I have since used Martin on many jobs and would not consider going to anyone else. His prices are fair, he's very responsive, and extremely talented. He does a wide variety of work and will let you know if a job is out of his range of expertise (which is a welcome relief compared to contractors who will simply take the money to do an amateur job). I would highly recommend Martin to anyone looking for a general contractor. I've been burned before in this area and don't want the same thing to happen to others. A+ work all around.

Hartel Construction did a superior job. All work that was completed by them was done in a professional and timely manner. The workers were extremely reliable and talented. The cost was as quoted and every effort was made for our convenience. I will always call Hartel Construction first when I have any work to be done.

Two large 90 inch windows were installed in the first two days and the two guys had to brave 40-50 degree temps and some rain but all was done successfully despite the weather. The next couple days involved securing the ceiling drywall and mounting the oak hardwood over top. Next they repaired and painted the room walls. Finally the guys removed the carpet, reinforced the subfloor and the installed the flooring and molding in another couple of days. All work was done professionally, without cutting corners, and was absolutely gorgeous when finished. The guys were professional, courteous, timely and had great attention to detail. Their moto was, the job will be done right because they did not want to receive a phone call from me in the future with any problems. I highly recommend them and plan to use them for future renovations. All work was warranteed and they filled a few additional requests I had when they were here

They were very, very good and we would use them again. Their workmanship was good and we didn't have any problems. They did exactly what they said they would do on the bid. They were nice to work with. The price was good. We would absolutely use them again.

We are going to have him do the same thing in our bedroom this year. We were very pleased with his work and would recommend him to anyone for this type of work. He is knowledgable and hardworking, cleans up well afterward.

Three men spent all day clearing out the basement, removing all of the old insulation, and replacing it. They used the best insulation and doubled it, placing it above code. They left everything immaculate, better than they found it. He is an experienced electrician and is creative and practical in design plans. He is outstanding.

The job was started on Monday Feb 2 worked from 8 O'Clock with a break for lunch M-F. We were alway advised and asked for approval during the job of any minor suggestions that may have been needed to improve the outcome of the project. The workers cleaned up everyday before leaving. Upon finishing the job on Feb 12 we were called up for the inspection and were very pleased.

The experience was wonderful. A one day job, in and out. He did wonderful work. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Mr. Hartel was fast & very professional from start to finish! We could not have been more pleased with the outcome. The new front porch looks great & the price couldn't have been better! Even the township inspector was impressed with the quality of the construction.

Everything went very well. Always listened to what we wanted and suggested. Did a good job of cleaning up during and after completion of work. Takes pride in his work and it shows in the details of the finished product.

Martin was very easy to work with. He gave us exactly what we wanted, even when we changed our minds. The entire project was done within the estimate and done very well!
