They have been around for a long time. I found them at the store. The estimate was way to high. She showed us the products and she was very nice. She was very informative and she took her time. We were looking to spend less than that. She has been doing this for many years. We did like the products and I am sure that they would have done a good job if we had decided to go with them. The quality of the products looked very nice. She did her job well. She provided good information about products. She was on time. If I hit the lottery I would use her.

I explored several other companies but decided to have Kitchen Magic do my renovation. This is how it progressed. Ken Billerback?I knew what I wanted for my kitchen and he was able to show samples of what I liked. Also, he made a design suggestion that has really worked out and is much admired by my neighbors. In the outer angle of a wrap-around counter/cabinet area, he suggested I use it as bookshelves for my cookbooks. He also recognized that here might be an code issue with the electical supply to my kitchen and added an addendum to the contract that would cover that. He was professional and meticulous. Paul Rudnicki? The engineer who did the measurements. Clearly, we were now getting into the nitty-gritty of building my kitchen. He asked a lot of good questions about what I wanted in my kitchen and then proceeded to take the time to be as accurate as possible. When I received a copy of the kitchen plans, that attention to detail was obvious. Mike Gobstein?the electrical work. My condo is a renovated apartment building from 1939. What is behind the wall is unknown until you cut a hole and look. Also, the electrical codes in Stamford, CT are very strict. I wasn't changing the footprint of my kitchen but was adding a new wall of cabinets and counters. His descions and knowledge of the codes were going to make my kitchen work legally or cause me problems. Result: I had no problems. Because of his excellent work before, during and after the demolition, my kitchen went forward as scheduled. George Becksa?the installer. As a craftsman, George is an artist. It was so interesting to watch him work as he was so focused. To do his best is the only way he knows. The first hitch in my kitchen had to do with a wall that was previously empty but was now going to have cabinets and a counter. Both Mike and George were there when they attempted to break into the wall?only to find it was solid concrete. A solution was needed that would work and pass inspection. They decided to add a new wall a few inches out to accomodate the electrical connections and hang the cabinets. All I know is that within 24 hours the new wall was built and the electrical connections were in place. And Kitchen Magic absorbed the cost. Scott Anderson-Corian counters. The equipment Scott brought to measure my counters was very 21st century. Then, the delivery was very quick. My counters are beautiful. Where I used to have empty spaces and cracks I have extra work spaces and beautifully finished edges. I also liked his suggestion that I put in a backsplash along all counter spaces. An extra cost that Kitchen Magic absorbed. Nancy Musgnung, Anita Pursel and the rest of the team?Because of the code/permit issues in Stamford, CT, I needed a lot of help with getting all the necessary documentation. They provided everything I needed in a timely manner. I can only guess at the organizational process that was happening to make all the steps of my kitchen renovation run as smoothly as possible. The cabinet makers? This kitchen is going to last a long time and I am going to enjoy it a long time. I appreciate the quality everytime I close a drawer or cabinet door. Excellent craftsmanship. Kitchen Magic delivered on what we contracted for but then exceeded my expectations.
Description of Work: Kitchen design, cabinet/counter measurements, all demolition, all electrical, all plumbing, provided licenses and paperwork so I could get a building permit, installation of cabinets and counters, new construction as needed. Worked with schedule of floor installer and appliance company so that all was done as scheduled.

They are bonded and everything is created in Bethleman PA. They renovated my kitchen I had to get my own tile company and painters, but they did a fabulous job. They also made custom made cabinets for me too. They also had a great selection to choose from. They completed the job within the time frame. They are so structured. They tell you when they will be there, how many days they will be there, and when they will come back to install the things like counter tops. I have no complaints with them. They did this 2.5 years ago and it looks like they did it just yesterday. They did such a great job!

Our representative was very professional, however, I cannot recall his name.... We did not choose Kitchen magic as we went in another direction with our kitchen remodel and it was easier to deal with one contractor rather than have multiple people in our home. We had called in a "big box store" and also a major store chain and I can honestly say that the other two companies wanted us to sign on the dotted line before they left, or the offer would not be valid. Kitchen Magic was are NOT pushy and we received a thank you card in the mail for allowing them to give us an estimate. Our representative was on time, came in with the samples we had mentioned in our telephone conversation and had plenty of samples waiting in his trunk. I would recommend that you give them a call..

The installer, Gene, was a perfectionist. I felt as though he was working on his own kitchen remodel and made sure that everything turned out perfectly. I especially appreciated that!! The only negative was that Gene was working by himself. My husband felt that if he had a "helper" the job would have been completed quicker. (The job took 7 days)

It went fabulously well! All work was completed on deadline. Craftsmen were fabulous. The cabinet refacer (Krystof) re-aligned all my existing cabinet frames which had sagged over 27 years. The new cabinet faces look fabulous even one year later. The countertop installation looks beautiful. There was an issue with an existing microwave shelf I had that had been custom built to conform with my stove/oven: upon installation of the new countertop, there was a gap of about one inch between the shelf and the new countertop. Kitchen Magic sent out a wonderful craftsman on a Saturday night (!!) who performed a miracle: he installed wood shims between the shelf and the new countertop and relaminated the entire structure so that it looks like the shelf was built for this countertop. One year later, the caulking between the counter top and backsplash near the sink and the stove had receded. I called Kitchen Magic and they sent out a technician immediately, who recaulked my entire counter top/backsplash at no charge. The entire experience went very smoothly. The craftsmen are above reproach. The office staff immediately responded to all my concerns. I would highly recommend Kitchen Magic, and would definitely hire them again.

It was pretty good. I have no complaints. I'm pretty happy. It's kind of expensive but I have no complaints with the price I paid with the quality I got. Everything was finished on time as promised. The price was something agreed to. I could have got it cheaper if I found somebody else but there was no complaints about the price. Everything was as promised. I think the price was a little bit expensive but I would recommend it to someone who is willing to spend that much money on them.

The salesman arrived on time, spent more than 2 hours, showed us sample cabinet doors and countertop granite shades. He calculated the cost of his proposed renovation before he left. He explained what KM does and does not do (no painting, only ceramic floor, electric if we want but not enthusiastically). POSITIVE: the salesman was punctual, friendly, and willing to stay as long as needed to answer any questions. NEGATIVE: the salesman was increasingly pushy, kept repeating company success statistics, left an unprofessional (for the client) estimate, and was either misinformed or misleading about Angie's List discounts. NO OPTIONS: Based on reviews, we anticipated seeing pictures of cabinet and countertop options, samples of various materials, design options, and a full written proposal. We were shown 3 doors, all the same heavy, synthetic resin. He said he had wood doors in his car but that would cost more and he sells 95% the material he was showing us, only 5% wood. FEW PICTURES NO PRODUCT SAMPLES: When we asked if we could see a full cabinet anywhere, he said sure, if we want to drive to PA. "We are not in the catalog business." The only pictures we saw were (1) half a dozen 4 x 6 pictures of his own kitchen, which actually looked almost identical to what we have now-dark cabinets with synthetic wood doors, stove and refrigerator similar to ours; (2) before and after photos on his iPad of a single large upscale kitchen beyond our means; and (3) a flyer showing the same upscale kitchen and the same material doors he offered us. He explained the materials of the cabinets only when asked, did not mention details like molding, backsplash or kickplate until specifically asked, and offered no options. He did not sketch any part of his proposed design. UNPROFESSIONAL ESTIMATE: After measuring and calculating the cost of his proposed renovation, he wrote the figure and his name on the back of a small flyer where he also wrote the rooms to be renovated and the materials. his handwriting is not easy to read. When he asked if I had any more questions, I admitted I was uncomfortable with the synthetic material. He repeated his praise of the materials, and did not offer any more choices. PRESSURE TO SIGN: He told us we needed to schedule in the next week or so to do the job before the end of the year (this was August 6!). After that, the whole price would go up. He asked when we would have an answer. We said within 10 days. He said that after 10 days we would lose a $1,500 discount he had built into the price. UNCLEAR OR WRONG INFORMATION: When I first contacted KM the operator said there was an Angie's List discount. When we asked the salesman he said there was none. I later saw that on Angie's List there are two current KM discounts, $500 for countertop and $1,000 for new cabinets - that sounds like the $1,500 discount he told us he built into his price, and which we would lose after 10 days. He also stated KM had an A rating on Angie's List-in fact it has a B rating with a few D reviews. UNWILLING TO PROVIDE REFERENCES: Although he repeatedly cited 5,000 testimonials on his laptop, when I asked for any with older houses he said it was illegal to share information like that. We could call someone if we promised not to "grill" that person. He did not leave any references. That was it. 3 doors, no material or design options, a $37,000 price tag without details, and a 10 day price guarantee.

The salesman came to the house on April 18th. His presentation was good with many samples of the products for us to see. He indicated that all our cabinets could be reconfigured to extend to the ceiling and accommodate an over the stove microwave. They would then be refaced. He was encouraging us to commit that day. We were not ready to do so and there was minimal pressure from the salesman though he said to get the lowest price we needed to sign that day, We still asked for a day to decide and he agreed. We called the next day and indicated we would sign if we could get the price quoted for the 18th. He agreed and the contract was signed on April 24th. The draftsman came on May 10th to complete the detailed plan for the renovation. He immediately said the project could not be done as the salesman indicated, The cabinets could not be reconfigured to accommodate the microwave and would need to be replaced with new cabinets. He indicated it was significantly more expensive to do so. He called the main office and discussed the situation with them.. After the discussion, he let us know out contract would be honored and the work would be completed for the price initially agreed. He then spent several hours completing the drawings and finalized all the details. The work was scheduled to start on June 18th between 8 and 10 am. The cabinets and parts were delivered at 7am. The carpenter arrived at 9:30 am and immediately installed protective drop cloths and dust barriers. He went over the plan of work and set up his work area. He worked steadily and though there were problems with the demolition of the old tile counter top completed the work June 21st on schedule. Two doors were incorrectly sized and had to be reordered. The counter top was templated on the 20th and installed on the 26th. The counter top installer installed the doors that had to be reordered and did some final adjustments. All of the craftsmen we dealt with were professional and courteous. They completed their portions of the project in a competent manner.

We love the service, they were very prompt and they came exactly when they said they would, they took exactly the amount of time they said they would take and they were extremely professional. They kind of closed off the entire kitchen because they were doing a lot of woodworking in there and they cleaned it very well, they did a great job. We got all new appliances but not through them and they provided the sink and sink fixture, that came from them. They did a beautiful job. Our kitchen was considered one of the bigger jobs so it was definitely better than if we studded the entire kitchen. They actually come back and fix anything, I believe it's for life for nothing. Ours wasn't big, it was like the baseboard is also the same material as the cabinets because we didn't want rubber down there but the very bottom corner it was kind of splitting and they came and fixed that right away and they did a great job
Description of Work: We had the kitchen done by Kitchen Magic Inc. in September of 2012. They came out once after that because I needed something fixed and that was probably like 3 months ago. They installed all my cabinets, they also added to my cabinets and they added to my island, they added a new piece and they provided coarse countertops. .

And no "nickle and diming". A great company, very focused on outcomes and customer service.

Good News! Our warranty is a Lifetime of Homeownership Warranty, not 12 years. So as long as home ownership has remained the same our Lifetime Warranty remains in effect (as stated on the contract). We researched the address noted by this Angie's List member and found that we did complete a kitchen at that address in 2003. However that contract is listed under a different customer name. We have no record at all of any service request being made by this member at all since the kitchen was completed a decade ago. Also, upon attempting all of the contact numbers on file we found the numbers to either be disconnected or reaching a different party. We will be happy to quickly send an inspector to assess and repairs or work that may be required but have are currently unable to reach this member with the information we have. Please contact us directly 800-237-0799 and request our warranty service department. (Just for clarification, our headquarters is now located in Nazareth Pennsylvania --we were formerly located in New Jersey).

We appreciate the opportunity to present our products and services to this Angies List Member. As a family owned company who prides itself on bringing homeowners the finest quality products and standing behind our work with a Lifetime Warranty, we do not present the value of Kitchen Magic as being the company with the lowest price. That being said, however, our prices are certainly competitive. Of course no specific comparisons can be drawn without the benefit of seeing details of another proposal. However it is not possible that for the same products and services—comparing apples to apples-- that our price is double that of another kitchen company. Though our products and services are excellent, for us to be viable in the marketplace and economy, of course our prices must be fair and reasonable as well. Thank you for your comments and thoughts. It went smooth as clockwork. John, the salesman, listened to our needs and came up with a plan for us - no high pressure sales pitch. It looked really good and we were thinking about it, but then Sandy hit, so we had unplanned expenses and didn't follow up. A month or so later, we received a follow-up call to check on what we were thinking, and Kitchen Magic indicated they had a range of options that might help. We met with John again, who met our needs, and we finalized a plan we were excited about. Greg, our draftsman came, and spent hours doing a detailed plan to make sure every detail was right - we were extremely impressed with the care that he took. It happened that the person who was going to do the floor arrived while he was there, and they worked together to confirm what was needed - and the timing sequence. Kitchen Magic started right on time, Tom our carpenter did a great job. The plumber, Bill, was great. And we loved the countertops and backsplash. We'd heard so many horror stories about kitchen remodels - but Kitchen Magic did exactly what they said they were going to do, and when they said they would do it, and the kitchen is just beautiful.

The quote was for $18,000. I'm still searching around. They basically came within three days of me calling them. They're very professional. The guy was here for about an hour and gave me a whole estimate on the kitchen. He gave me a price and I said thank you and I'd be in touch. No negatives on the company. I just don't know if I want to pay that price.
Description of Work: I got an estimate from Kitchen Magic for kitchen refacing.

He was very nice, and it was pouring outside and he kept going out to get samples. Gave a good impression. I think the price is a bit high for having no flooring included.
Description of Work: The came out to give an estimate of $35,900 for new cabinets, a kitchen backsplash and stainless steel sink and faucet, and a counter top.
