Scheduled first available appointment for technician to come to our home to provide a quote (technicians were booked for four days). Scott came and provided a quotation which was 2-3x higher than other companies in the area. Either they have a terrible cost on their supplier, or their labor rates are extremely high, but based on the cost I have seen for a 75-gal natural gas power vented water heater, the quote for installation was higher than the cost of the water heater itself! Scott, the technician, was very condescending towards our interest in upgrading to a tankless water heater, asking me if my motivation was to "save the world". Even if the quote was half the cost of the next best alternative, I would not hire a company as unprofessional as this one was. Don't waste your time with a company that is not interested in earning your business.

The cost of the water heater and additional parts were $2390, There was the cost of permit $99 and two technicians Labor to install your water heater and also labor to remove you water heater from your basement. then there is also the process of disposing the water heater. Labor to install the water heater is two guys for six hours at $116.5 hr x 12 $1398. I feel I gave you a great price for what you were asking for. Also keep in mind we did perform a free estimate. I know you did your research and said the cost of water heater on-line is over $1600 and they said on-line the installation is only $300. For a total installation cost of $1900.
