We just received a service call from Shank Door Company and our Technician was Tim. Our call was promptly answered and our technician was on time, polite, very knowledgeable and completed the work efficiently and on time. I would recommend Shank Door and Tim the Technician again.

The repairman recommended it would be more cost effective to replace rather than repair the opener because it was so old. Replacing the electronic board might fix the problem but might not.

Had a significant problem that the company solved themselves, beyond the warranty. Most companies would not of done that, but they did. It did take several conversations but the company was very responsive and responsible with how the dealt with the issue.

The quality was very good. They were responsive and they called before they came, which is always helpful. They were right on time. I thought there was something specific wrong with the door, and they proved me wrong and showed me what it was. They knew immediately what the problem was, it was very confidence inspiring.

They had my info on file since they originally installed my door. They provided a good quote for spring replacement. When they came to do the job, I had completely different setup and required a conversion. Since I already had a competitor come out to quote me prior to this (and subsequently charged a service fee) Shank door very honestly offered to not charge me anything for coming out. It wouldn't make sense for me to pay both companies. I thought they were very nice - and honest. Most companies are not like that. I would highly recommend doing business with them. I will call them first next time, for sure.

(Our door is a basic "contractor quality" model that the home builder had selected.) Shank Door did not inform us that any fees would be due at the time the technician showed up; the technician informed me of that at the time he arrived. The technician did not have proper parts to make repairs to our damaged door - he stated that he would have to order replacement parts. After contacting the Shank Door Company home office the technician learned that our model door was discontinued, and a entire new door would be needed. We would actually need two doors if we wanted both garage doors to match. I was not ready to commit to replacing both doors. Since the technician was unable to make any repairs, combined with the fact that we had not been notified of the fee schedules prior to the technician arriving, no fees were charged and the technician departed. As of November 2015 the door remains unrepaired. I am still thinking about what and how the door is going to be repaired - not replaced. I wish that Shank Door Company had done a better job of communicating their policies and fee schedules before the technician arrived.

went well, all work preformed well, no issues. the service department of Shank For is great. the "c" on the responsiveness is for the SALES dept. I called to inquire having a new opener installed, left a message, no return call. after a week I went to sears, bought an opener and installed it myself. 2 days later got the return call. not good. BUT, I fully endorse the device dept, they always have been good.

Went fine. was on time and gave a phone call to assure I was home.

They did a great job! Came, did what they had to do and left. There was no damage or debri left behind! Just great doors!

Very good experience with Shank Door. They came out the day we called and fixed a garage door. The next visit they replaced two garage openers with new ones. Everthing was done professionally and per the estimate they provided. I would recommend them based on our experience.

They do quality work and we have a situation for our garage, the ceiling is very low in it. They had to kind of work around that and some plumbing that came from the ceiling of door to come up with a good solution for being able to put a garage door that we wanted. So they were really good at that, provide a solution to a unique situation.

I am very happy with the work performed and my new garage doors are very quiet, efficient, and I finally have sunlight in my basement due to the large double paned glass panels! There was trouble with the door after the fact which they came back and repaired it again at no charge. They were very professional.

Salesman came out, showed product and pricing. I called back several days later to place an order for (2) garage doors. Sent in a deposit. Received a call that the order for the doors had been placed, that they would be in contact with me when the doors arrived. Received a call several weeks later that the garage doors had been delivered, The earliest they could come to install them would be in about 3-1/2 weeks (They were very busy I was told). Never heard anything until I called the day before in the afternoon to confirm, were they coming and what time? Arrival time was good, the installer was EXCELLENT! Very professional and cared about his install. The company was colorless but the product and installer (Curtis) were top notch. No follow-up from the company after the install. Would recommend for the price, product, and installer.

My garage door has never operated so quietly I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.
