We could not be more excited to write a review for this company! Nick Cratsa and his crew are outstanding, wholesome, timely, available, considerate, friendly, skilled, and hard working people! We brought a design to Nick and he quickly gave us a quote (not including finishes....so we got to pick whatever we wanted within our budget to use and his company did not upcharge us for it!). Once the contract was signed, his men were in the house and the project was completed in a very timely fashion. You will save time and money working with Cratsa as there are minimal subcontractors (just electrical), plus these guys are just committed to and take pride in their work. Everyone was very respectable, kind, and considerate. We loved having them in our home, which is a lot to say when work is being done and it's loud and dirty and there are strangers in your house. In fact, when we had to say goodbye, we were sad....they started to feel like family! Their work is exquisite as well.....we had them use the wood from our 1890's old pine floor that they had to pull up for the bathroom area and make 2 beautiful barn doors out of it. Stunning and amazing quality, creative work. LOVED THESE GUYS! Hire them!

I could not have been more pleased with the quality of the workmanship, the professionalism of the crew, and the outcome of the project. I would certainly recommend Cratsa construction to anybody. The crew was professional and punctual-- they stayed on site until the job was complete, and were very kid (and dog) friendly. Their attention to detail was fantastic--any issues we had were immediately rectified without a problem. Would definitely plan on hiring for my next project.

The experience from start to finish was very good. The work was done professionally and on time. Nick Cratsa and his crew dealt with last minute plan alterations and unforeseen problems without breaking stride. Highly recommended!

I am so impressed with his kindness and professionalism! Circumstances prevented me from being home at the time we had scheduled to meet, and then I forgot to call and cancel. When he texted from outside my house I called him immediately to apologize. He was very kind and offered to reschedule. (I wouldn't have been surprised if my forgetfulness had alienated him, but he treated me with great courtesy.) I don't need the bathroom remodel after all, because we found another solution, but if I were considering major bath or kitchen work this is the first company I would call.

Fantastic - Nick is a great guy, and once he was free from his other jobs, we had his undivided attention. He worked quickly, and professionally. This kitchen looks amazing. Can't say enough good things about Nick Cratsa.

The room was completely transformed and beautiful. I couldn't be more pleased. The plaster work design was beautiful. I could find no flaws or areas where there were joints or seams. I am extremely pleased with the quality of work. The contractors were prompt and professional, answered all questions and addressed any adaptations I decided on with no complaints.

I was very happy with the job. The deck is beautiful and the door installation went perfectly. The contractor went to extra effort making sure all interior trim around the door matched existing interior trim. He did small swatches of wood trim with different finishes to make sure staining matched. The contractor was very helpful in deciding size and deck design and offered options and price variations on those options. He was also helpful in answering all my questions about the pro's and con's of the options offered. He further answered all questions regarding construction and care of the deck. The contractors were prompt. The job was completed in a timely manner and the workers cleaned up all debris. I have used Cratsa construction before and will continue to use them in the future.

It was very well. We had a few quotes. They weren’t the cheapest but they were reasonable. Base on after they gave the estimate, I had an understanding what needs to be done. They explained everything they were going to do. They ended up taking longer than expected because they found wiring problems in the house when they started. Overall, it was pretty good.

There was a 2 or 3 man crew, depending on the day. The contractor dug under the corners of an existing 7 ft by 9 ft concrete stoop to pour concrete foundations to support the portico. At a few points the architect who was out of state was contacted to clarify the plans. On one or two items, locally available materials were substituted, with approval by the architect. After about 3 days of construction it became apparent that the alignment of certain parts did not quite agree with the architect's plans. I pointed this out to Mr. Cratsa and he immediately agreed and had his crew rebuild those parts to agree with the plans. The widow walk on top was specified to have non-standard balaster spacing, so Mr. Cratsa fabricated these sections in his workshop and brought them to the job for installation. The job took 11 days. The work area was thoroughly cleaned up and the result was very impressive. Mr. Cratsa and his crew were very pleasant and professional. The work went very smoothly and we are very pleased. There were many favorable comments from the neighbors.

Professional and courteous. All craftsmen were experts, very precise work with attention to detail. Flexible and accomodating. They turned an empty space into a beautiful Apartment, complete with kitchen and full bath. They also designed the space- used it very wisely to get the most out of every inch! They also created a furnace room with all need utilities in the garage itself so as to keep all upstairs space for living areas. They put new siding on the exterior walls. 4 new windows and one exterior door were installed. Very pleasant experience - I am using them again this year for a new project.

I got an estimate from them. The owner was very nice and accommodating. He actually was the first to come by and seemed to be more flexible than other people with the times that he was able to provide to give an estimate. And he was the fastest with the turn around for the estimate. He was very knowledgeable, very honest. The reason I didn't got with him was the price was a little bit more than I was expecting.

It went excellent. He was a good and creative contractor. He did a great job and fixed the leak that he wasworking on. He was very professional and friendly. He was easy to talk to.

We knew when we first talked with Mr. Cratsa that his work schedule was extremely busy, but we were not in a particular rush for our work proposal. He was punctual in showing up to take measurements to give us an estimate. He was responsive to email inquiries. He provided 24 hours notice before his work crew showed up to perform the work. The job was completed over approximately 4 days and the crew worked despite some inclement weather (put up a tarp and continued working). We were happy with the end result. The walkway and stairs were solidly constructed (screws and bolts, cement anchors for pilings, etc.) We will be referring Cratsa Construction to our friends and family.

He got back to me right away and his estimate was right on track. I didn’t hire them because a company that I have already worked with was available to do the job. I was very pleased with his response and his customer service. I may call him for future jobs.

Overall the initial contact was great. But, I would have prefered having a choice in the fixtures, etc.

Nick of Cratsa Construction was very nice and very thorough and professional, but his estimate was about 50% higher than others I received. So I did not use him based on the price.

From start to finish, Nick Cratsa and his workers demonstrated a strong work ethic, honesty and fairness. Nick always answers his phone. He and his crew arrive when they say they will, call to alert about any unexpected issues, and do what they say they will do. Nick worked on a cost plus basis. He gave us a quote for the work he would perform, then I sourced the design and materials from a combination of Home Depot and Don's Appliances. Nick gave me the name of a designer at Home Depot who gave me exactly what I wanted, within the budget I presented. As with any signficant project, things happen along the way, such as schedule changes. Nick's approach was never to keep everything in perspective, and just deal with the issue without getting worked up about it. It was a terrific experience working with him. I plan to call Nick for additional work this year, and have recommended him strongly to my friends and family. Nick is the top reason that I will continue to be a member of Angie's list. My experience with him was that good.

well. no delays, clean up completely, competent and innovative craftsmen and artisans.

We hired Mr. Crasta to drywall the ceiling in our garage as well as installing a fire rated door. We also had him put a railing in and fix the flashing on our chimney. He was right on time when he came to give an estimate and also pointed out some things that would need to be changed/fixed to bring house to code (something other contractors either ignored or didn't notice). He got an estimate to us very quickly and also set a start date. His workers were extremely professional. Anytime we were in or around the area they were working on they had no problems giving us an update on their progress or explaining what they were doing. As someone who likes to do as much work as possible myself I was very pleased with the work done by Crasta Construction and would use them again in the future and would and have recommended them to other people.

He wasn't able to do the job for us due to his full schedule, but was kind enough to stop by on his lunch break to offer advice on how we could do it. His tips were helpful and I am happy to say we have a new, beautifully tiled bathroom floor that is level! Thanks, Nick!

Completed all work on time as promised. Two years later the work still looks good

Maybe he does good work but I don't know. I will not chase contractors. If a contractor doesn't want to do job they should tell you instead of saying they will send estimate. I gave him a 'D' rating because he at least looked at the job
