It has been over 2 and one half years and the project has not even started. I have been incredibly patient. In May of 2011, Jason's daughter was hospitalized. Understandably, the start was delayed. The next date he gave me was the week of June 10. Needless to say the project. Further delays were blamed on adverse weather. Jason was apologetic but kept up postponing the start. The excuses continued through 2012 and well into 2013. We just experienced three weeks of near-perfect weather, which had been earlier forecast. Over the past few weeks I called the company number and Jason's private cell phone number numerous times. In each case I left messages to phone me. I also sent a number emails. All these attempts went unanswered. I have requested a return of my deposit as well the paint can samples that I provided them in April 2011. A recent check of the webside ot the PA Attorney General shows that registration number PA006358 expired July 1, 2011. It is that number that appears on the Angie's List page. .

Work not performed because my own contractor arrived. I would have hired Hubby for Day with confidence.

Jason arrived on time with his son, we explained that we needed to remove one large AC unit from one area and replace it with the other identical unit. They were fast, and efficient, within a short period of time the AC was up an running once again cooling the house. We had read some negative reviews regarding calls not being returned, as this was not the case with us. He explained that their has been storms at that time and they lost power and phone service. Hubby For a Day in our estimation, is prompt, reliable, honest, pleasant and reasonable. We had an excellent experience and will definitely call them again the next time we need a handyman. We highly recommend Jason & Son (HUBBY FOR A DAY!)

It was the first time I had used them. They started the job but never finished. I had to constantly call them to come back and they never did.

I was very understanding of some delays he had come up from his personal life including taking of his daughter who was in the hospital. The tile installation went well but I had to remind him and follow up multiple times to take out the old grout out first. He never took the old grout out so now the new grout is coming up easily. I find pieces all over. I have called him alot and he doesnt respond well or doesnt call back. I was going to have him do the wood floors but have since turned to someone else.

His response was too slow & too late at night.

They told me they would show up on Saturday before noon. They had my cell # as well as my home number. I gave them directions. They said they would be there. I waited all day. No one called to say they had a problem with keeping the appt. I e-mailed them today to ask what happened and to say that I still needed the job taken care of. They never bothered to respond. I am disappointed because they had a high rating on the list that is why I chose them.

Jason came to look at what work we wanted him to do. He called back with a price within a few days, and we accepted his plan and price. We agreed to pay for all material up front so he would not be out any money if for some reason we decided not to proceed with the job. He came to our location and we paid him in cash for the items needed. His prices were well in line with what we could purchase the items for ourselves...ie...he did not mark anything up in any way. Moving the air conditioner was pretty simple and we supplied him the wire and fixtures needed. He did a wonderful and prompt job of doing this in just about a few hours. He had to come back to install the screen doors. When he returned to install the doors, he realized he could not adjust the doors properly the way they were made, however did suggest he could find two wood screen doors that he could make work. He took the aluminum doors back and purchased two wooden doors which he had to drive all the way to Allentown to get. He installed these doors in an hour....WOW.....they look great. No additonal charges and the doors were installed quickly so we could enjoy them. We have another project for him.....waiting for him to get back to us with a price. He is busy, but will find time easily to get your work done.

called them up because they were referred to me. They called back and then came over and gave me an estimate there was some delay in doing the project, but it was a legitimate reason. The only problem was the prive of the tub changed because they quoted a fiberglass tub and I had wanted an acrylic tub which would have been about $400 more. So I agreed to the fiberglass tub as long as the original price stayed the same. They did include some extras which they didnt charge me. They were very professional and polite. It took a little longer than I thought, but overall I am pleased

I contacted this company via e-mail from the ratings on Angie's List. I received an immediate e-mail response back from Jason and was assured that they do work on Saturdays (I'm only @ my PA home on weekends) and they would be available on the July 4th holiday. I explained that both the toilets in my home had been "running" and spontaneously flushing for, I'm ashamed to admit, SEVERAL YEARS! It was like having a ghost in the house with a really bad bladder problem. We arranged for noon on Sat the 2nd & I gave initial directions & both my home & cell numbers. That morning as I was driving into the development (around 11:00 AM) I was contacted by Don, Jason's Dad, and the owner of "Hubby for a Day". I completed the directions & he said I could expect them between 12 & 1 PM but no later than 1 PM. Around 12: 30 PM they came and were friendly and courteous, found & fixed the problem immediately and also fixed my water pressure problem. Probably a total of 1/2 hour. The price was more than reasonable, $45 and I'm arranging for more renovation work in the Fall- they gave me some great advice on getting started on picking materials....I highly recommend them- Great Guys for us gals who lost, or don't have, their own "Handymen" anymore.!!

They really went out of their way to help me. The finished job looked very professional. I was very pleased with them.
