A representative came to the house prior to the move and gave me an estimate. The movers showed up on time and worked steady. They were very good, no problems and did more that they had to, They helped take apart a desk and took several flat screen TVs. No damage incurred that I have seen and they were very professional. They moved furniture from my old home to the new one.

We had a great moving experience. Our move was complicated by the fact that our belongings were both in an apartment and a separate storage facility several miles away. The three person crew arrived on time and were incredibly efficient and pleasant. The move was complete several hours ahead of schedule and they took great care with all of our items.

Overall this was my best moving experience. So easy!!

Everything went very well – they were great. From giving me an estimate to loading the truck everything went well. My things came out to Oregon before I actually got here. They brought everything to Oregon and put it in a storage unit where it will stay until I'm ready to move into the house. The drivers name was Mike. He kept me updated throughout the move, letting me know where he was and when he had to make other stops, which I really appreciated.

After first contact, an estimator came to the house promptly. He was efficient and professional and emailed an estimate for the move 2 days later. He gave us some useful pamphlets and encouraged us to call or email him with any questions. The first time I emailed questions, I got a fairly prompt response. However, further attempts to contact the estimator and his staff were unsuccessful: they were unavailable, out of town or in meetings and did not return calls or emails. This caused us a lot of stress. A packer came over the day before the move. She did a good job, packing dishes etc. carefully. But she produced some very large, heavy boxes with many items inside, so it is hard to find things until everything is unpacked. On moving day, reinforcements were called in to finish loading. The words "fragile" and "do not crush" have no meaning. Boxes and furniture are squashed into any gap. Delivery was on schedule and efficiently done. The van driver was friendly and helpful, as were his crew at both ends. When the dust had settled, several items were lost, some furniture was broken and many boxes were crushed. I suppose this is normal for a move of this magnitude.

They used 2 small vans because our driveway would not accomodate a large one. They moved items from a barn and a storage unit to the location. They were very very good and accomodating. They were very nice and professional.

The agent arrived promptly at my apartment, made notes on his computer and, on the spot, gave me a print-out of the inventory along with an estimated price, $624. He also gave me several pointers on how to save time, space, and money, how to pack things myself, etc The movers came at the appropriate time, quickly and efficiently moved all my things down one flight of stairs and, at the other end, up three flights of stairs, and finished early. I was charged only $504 for the job.

This was a great move. This company did a great job and we actually payed about $450 less than the estimate. The crew was great and we had no damage to furniture or our homes... I will recommend Tri-State to anybody I know who is moving...

They arrived on time, went right to work and did an excellent job removing our furniture. They were professional, hard working and effecient. The price was right on as estimated. Our goods went into storage for 5 months. The communication and response from Sheryl and Steve was excellent.They delivered our goods in excellent condition, and again the movers were wonderful and hard working. They actually finished in less time then estimated. We have moved several times in our lives and this company was the best group we've ever worked with. I highly recommend them.

Jack Treier movers helped us move during a very stressful time. They were quick, professional and compassionate. I could not be happier with the way they worked with us. Our estimate was right on target. Changes I needed to make were handled quickly and without fuss. The office stayed in contact with me and called when they said they would for confirmation and updates. They made me feel confident about every stage of our move.

Their final price was same as their estimate. The cost was reasonable. They were friendly and very professional. The quality was good.

What stood out about them is their availability. I moved from house to storage to house. I used them many times for many different things. They were very professional and very careful. They knew what they were doing. The workers were very courteous. I will use them again in the future.

It was pretty reasonable. The movers were nice guys. They really seemed to take care of our stuff. I would definitely use them again. I would recommend them highly. We got four quotes, and they were in the ballpark of everybody else.

The estimate was $1500-$2000. We've had our move postponed 2 times, and they are willing to work with us. They are excellent, gave us a great price, were friendly, knowledgeable, very detailed, easy to talk to, and contact. I give them high ratings and plan on using them.

It was such a pleasant experience for all of us. The first contact person who came to Mom's home was professional and made very detailed notes about each room and any concerns we had (ie: the ivory colored carpeting, etc) The contact by email and phone from the coordinator was prompt, courteous and professional. The movers were professional, polite, prompt and respectful when dealing with my mother, even though she was undecided about the placement of some things. Everything arrived in the same condition as when they packed it.. I highly recommend this company to anyone and would definitely use their services again!

It was a very positive experience. We kind of decided at the last minute, we were moving from our old home to a home we had built and we wern't sure when we wanted to move because we hadn't sold the old house. They were very flexible in helping us decide if we were going to do a full move or partial move. They came out right away gave is a quote, the worst case scenario and in the end we didn't move as much stuff as we thought and they changed their quote and lowered the price because of the amount of time it took them.

I received a phone call from the Tri-State office informing me that the movers would be at my apartment between 12:30 PM and 01:30. I wasn't crazy about the time but I agreed to it. The truck pulled in at 11:00 AM. The men got to work immediatly and made quick work of the job. They were finished by 2:00PM. They did a great job and if I had to move again I would not hesitate to contact them again.

The drive to NJ from PA was probably 3 hours. They arrived at 9:30 am and they completed the drive, the stop at the storage unit, and the move at the apartment by 5pm. GREAT moving company!! you can't go wrong with these guys - highly recommended!!

With less than a week before my move from a single family home in New Cumberland to an apartment in York I realized I needed to hire movers. They came out 2 days after my first call for the estimate which went smoothly and everything was clearly explained to me. I was given a high end estimate for a 4 hour move, being told it may not take that long, and that the 3 movers would arrive between 8-9 am. The movers got to my house and began working immediately at 8:30. They were very gentle with all of my furniture and belongings, taking the glass top off my dresser and disassembling my bed frame (which were all put back together at my new place). The movers were friendly and professional. The movers were done at 11:30, and I was only charged for 3 hours of work. The price included moving my furniture (bedroom, office, living room) and boxes, the flight of stairs in the apartment, and the 25 mile drive. There were no surprise fees or ridiculous charges. This was a great experience and I would recommend Shelly to anyone!

I made an appointment for my parents (who live out of town) to move from one apartment to another. They were prompt and professional and the move went very well.

The actual team of movers were professional with respect to their behavior. I had a moving experience where the gentlemen were yelling at each other. I also had an experience where a couple of the guys were really young and fresh to the job. I got a team with probably 20 years of experience between them. They really knew each other. Obviously not all the Shelly teams are going to be like this, but you might get lucky. The Shelly staff and estimator were very professional. The gentleman came to our house and put everything into his little computer. We received an estimate that was basically dead on, but a little high due to some work on our part. They provided some cheap used boxes for a nominal fee as well. I really could go on, but I don't have a lot of time. I rarely write reviews, but I was so nervous about Shelly, that my positive experience is worth sharing.
