"Allen Noel came to work on the refrigerator on August 9th. He proceeded to place the new parts in the refrigerator and removed the freon. He did say that he was missing that small part called a JIG and that it needed to be ordered from LG. He was at my home approx 1 hour and left everything torn apart and on the floor for when he returned to finish the job. I called him a week later (on a Monday) and asked if he had received the missing part which he said he did have it. He told me could not get back to finish the job until that friday and that he would call me. Friday came and went with Allen not calling or returning. This pattern of calling him was done every week until the end of Sept. He said the same thing every time, that he was extremely busy and that he would show up on Friday. During this time, I had told him that I had fallen tripping over the boxes and that I needed him to come back. Never returned. I finally got a tech that knew what he was doing. He had to called and asked Allen to send me the part he received from LG, he never returned it."

"Davis Construction and Mechanical were absolutely fantastic to work with. I simply cannot say enough good things about them. They are a no-nonsense father-son team who don't sub-contract. When you hire them--they do the work. When I solicit estimates, I typically get at least 5 quotes. A couple other companies (not naming names) had very fancy presentations--but offered estimates at more than double of Davis Construction and Mechanical's quote. The Davis' walked through our home while we talked about our vision. They, in turn, gave us a concrete vision of what they can accomplish within our budget. During the project, we changed our minds multiple times, varied on what we wanted. The Davis' were extremely patient and understanding and ultimately exceeded our expectations. Our budget grew because of add-ons we asked them to do. They stuck true to form on the additional projects and delivered results above expectations. I am a fiscal hawk (I work with money and budgets for a living) and felt comfortable talking dollars and budgets with them at all times. I usually move forward on projects with a strong poker face...but with Davis Construction and Mechanical, I could relax knowing I was getting maximum bang for the buck. In addition to some other projects, we completely remolded an unfinished, uninsulated attic adding 850 SF of living space with 2 large bedrooms and a full bathroom. Before it was even done, we had multiple neighbors asking for their phone number. We will use them again in the future. A recommendation from me is hard to earn--but I give Davis Construction and Mechanical my strongest recommendation for any home project whether big or small."

In contrast with other contacts made for this installation, WB Lightning Rods responded in a timely and informative manner. My contact was with William Burden, Owner & CEO. I found Mr. Burden to be knowledgeable and articulate. Although prepared to ask a series of materials and installation procedure questions based on researching residential lightning rod systems, Mr. Burdenâ s description of both was thorough to the point that all my questions were answered without asking a single one. I found Mr. Burden to be ethical. He expressed concern over the long-term viability of an aluminum system in my coastal location. He rescheduled my installation when inclement weather was forecast rather than risk the safety of his staff and the quality of the installation. He was willing to perform the installation on a Sunday when the forecast called for more inclement weather early the next week. Mr. Burden and his staff arrived promptly at the agreed upon time. Affable, pleasant, and courteous they undertook the installation with a notably positive attitude. Mr. Burden was present the entire installation ensuring consistency with the specifications of our contract. The installation was completed in two and half hours. In conclusion, I found WB Lightning Rods to be expert, honorable, professional, and quality driven. When Mr. Burden requested my approval to post a small WB Lightning Rods sign in my yard at the completion of the installation, I replied that he could rely on it to be a permanent fixture. I have never had a better home improvement experience. . ."
