Description of Work: They replaced the shower faucet and tub valve. The technician was very knowledgeable and went out to obtain the correct length of a piece.

Description of Work: I lost my heat and it was going to be 11 degrees that night so I called 2 other companies that were recommended to me and neither of them would come out until the next day. Luckily I called Oliver and not only did they come out by 7pm and get me heat -but- I got a discount as well.

Description of Work: We called Oliver when our central air conditioner would not start up. They were punctual and professional. The technician detected a relatively minor problem. He fixed it and charged us a fair price.

Description of Work: We took advantage of a general heater maintenance special. | |The technician was on time, friendly and professional. He cleaned our heater and made sure it was functioning properly. We also asked the technician if he could help us identify why two of our rooms are especially cold. We have radiators built into our walls and then covered with metal plates. He only inspected the radiators in the two rooms we thought were cold. One of them he showed us was pretty dirty, and he explained how we could clean it, which should both improve the air quality in that room as well as make the radiator work better. This was great to know, especially how to clean it. It's definitely improved the air quality in that room, and it's possibly a little warmer, too. | |He couldn't tell us for sure why those two rooms are so cold, though, so that was too bad. I suspect we'll have to have someone else out to investigate, because if we have another child and need to use the bedroom, it'll need to be warmed better. | |Nice folks, though, I'd consult them again.

Description of Work: This was the second time we used Oliver. The first was to have a new central air conditioning unit installed and most recently for installation on a back up generator.

Description of Work: I had a leaky faucet. They didn't even turn it on to see if replacement parts would fix it. He just looked and said you need a new one. (It wasn't even that old). Tried to sell me a 500 faucet...I went with a cheaper model.

Description of Work: I have used Oliver for my air conditioning for years, but never plumbing. The plumber unclogged a drain, 20 minutes of work. Delighted with every aspect of the job except the price. I am not sure what my Angie's List coupon netted me-- I paid $285 for the service. I guess that's what plumbers cost?!

Description of Work: Came to fix a leaky toilet, it wasn't done correctly. When I called two days later to re quest at least partial refund they said didnt agree but they did offer to send in another person to fix the problem but I refused because I would rather get it done elsewhere than use them any further.

Description of Work: Could not successfully unclog a bathroom toilet. I called another plumber who removed the toilet, snaked it and got it to work.

Description of Work: I had two people come by. The first was a furnace guy who couldn't give me an estimate because I needed a plumber. The plumber was fantastic and went over and above the information that was needed to give an accurate estimate. The furnace guy forgot to turn the furnace on when he left. I had cold water the next day. The plumber took notice and turned it on for me. The furnace guy spent a great deal of time trying to sell me a service contract. I was not impressed. I was completely stressed out all day when I was unnecessarily stressed all day worrying about the hot water.

Description of Work: Nothing. I purchased a voucher/Coupon from you for $59.00 to have services done. We just needed a leaky kitchen faucet fixed and a spray washer( that I had already purchased) installed. $59 turned into" oh mam it's going to be around $500+ dollars. Really. I want my $59 refunded and will NEVER call this service place again!!! Had it fixed by another company, $129.00 ... And would have been cheaper with the $59.00 discount !!! Description of Work: Oliver performed an annual check of our Gas Boiler Heating system. | |Oliver was excellent! My wife and I are first time home buyers and we have never had to deal with or maintain a heating system. I called Oliver to have the system inspected, but also asked to be shown how to use the system. Oliver provided a great price for inspection and was able to fit us in the day after I called. The Tech showed up 30 minutes ahead of schedule and was fantastic. He was very friendly and explained the whole system to me while performing a system inspection. We will definitely use Oliver again in the future!

Description of Work: Fixed two leaks. One was in the wall. Open a drain. I have old cast iron drains so it was a little harder. It was done quickly and very clean.

Description of Work: Plumber was punctual; he actually arrived several minutes early. Very informative and explained clearly the issue with my clogged tub drain. Cleared the drain and I have not had an issue since the visit. Enrolled in a plumbing plan and very pleased with the service and professionalism. I will use this company in the future.
