Very professional. Sent me a general bid. It seemed just a tad high. Sent him some follow up questions - may still hire him.

Responded to message promptly, and offered to come out that evening. They came out as scheduled the next day. The work was done promptly and they cleaned up after themselves. We have now contracted with them for out heating/ac service. The price was very fair.

They are reliable and very professional. For them their regular customers are first priority. They respond pretty quickly. Their price is little high, but I think it is worth it.

They came and inspected the system for a problem. The problem was with the damper motors. We managed to get one working. From that point of view, the service was good. I asked him if I could get new damper motors, and the man said I couldn't because they didn't make them anymore. He said I'd have to replace the whole system. I scouted around and found new damper motors by myself. He didn't seem to be interested in fixing it; he was interested in selling me a new system. I wouldn't use them again because of that.

Very good work. I have had a service contract with them for the past few years, and they are always thorough. The contract has worked out well for me. This year the work they did wasn't too expensive, but in year's past I have gotten more than my money's worth by having a service contract (almost any repair work is covered under it -- even if the work is more expensive than what you pay for the contract itself). My only complaint with them is that you have to schedule so far in advance because they're always quite busy -- but that may be a good sign.

I first called Oliver because my radiant heaters were not filling up with water and were quite inefficient. I should admit that I had not done my research on how these systems worked beforehand, which sort of put me at a disadvantage(my first experience with radiant heat, our previous homes had convective systems)-I would recommend you do your homework before calling. The technician who showed up did a good job of explaining how the system worked, and walked me through the valves that needed to be opened to fill the system with water and watched as I bled a couple of radiators-charged me $150 for this. I was quite happy after this visit. But a couple of days later I noticed the heat exchanger in the furnace had a leak that kept extinguishing the flame. We were without heat for a day(and it was a cold night for the family!). So I called Oliver again to take a look at it to see if it could be serviced. The technician was able to adjust the pressure to keep me going temporarily, but recommended that I get a new furnace. An Oliver sales person showed up soon after and quoted me $6000 as the lowest price. This was quite a shock since I had not budgeted this. I kept asking him several times if there were any lower cost options, but he said no. I later figured out he was pushing a high-end brand, when there are several mid-range brands available that are just as good. Anyway, I called around a few other places, and was able to get a system installed for $2000 less compared to Oliver.

Overall, this went very poorly. They were extremely responsive to my call into their emergency service and sent someone out within hours. That technician told us that our new 3 week old transformer was not how he would have done it so he quoted us $245 to replace it. He did so and then continued to spend hours trying to get the system to work, most of the time with someone else guiding him over the phone. After electrocuting himself once (luckily all the breakers tripped), he was able to restore emergency heat. His attitude was that I lucky to have him here at all, which I agreed until he presented us with a bill for an additional 2 hours of labor at $220 per hour (very high!). Considering we still did not have regular heat and the bill was close to $700, we were a little stressed. Another technician came out the following day and spent another 2 hours working on the system. He agreed the technician from the day before had been over his head and did not charge us for the second visit. The new technician?s diagnosis was that all of the wiring in the walls was faulty and I had to have all that wiring replaced to have a working HVAC. Considering the amount of damage (and expense) we got a second opinion. The next company checked the wiring, said it was fine, and got the system fully working in an hour. Since Oliver?s diagnosis was distressingly off and I had already paid them ~$700, I called back to Oliver management for a refund. They were not prompt in responding to my call and I had to leave multiple messages. When I did reach someone they said they stood by their technician?s diagnosis, despite the fact that another company had been able to get the heat working easily. At the 2nd company's prompting, I asked the Oliver why I had been charged for the transformer since the entire unit was still under warranty. They said the technician had not realized it since he was unfamiliar with the brand and so had mistakenly charged us for it. After a week of my calls, they adjusted the amount due down to ~$300. I will be having the transformer they installed removed by another company, as it was a 75VA (the manufacturer had installed a 40VA). Oliver said this was not a direct hazard which another company agreed, but the new company said it would violate the manufacturer?s warranty on the transformer. Oliver said that the 75VA was an upgrade as it has a built-in circuit breaker but unfortunately I have lost confidence in their advice. Overall, I was extremely disappointed by the lack of expertise when paired with the extremely high hourly rate.

They were excellent. The work was done in a timely fashion, they cleaned up after themselves and were very responsive. They came and did the work a week after we agreed on a proposal and completed the project in 4 days. The salesperson explained exactly what they were going to do. They walked us through the process, asked for input, and made sure we were satisfied with all aspects of the job. Even though they were working in the attic, they were very careful to be neat and to think about how we might want to use the space in the future. We are very pleased with the work they did and it was a great experience for us.

They did everything exactly as they said they would. They cleaned up after the service was completed. We are very happy with them.

Great-they did a great job...I have a very old system but will definitely go with Oliver to replace it.

I am a senior citizen and they were the most accommodating in helping locate the problem and getting the right people to replace the heater. Unfortunately, I could not afford a new heater, but this did not stop them, they still continued to help me.

They are superb, they are courteous and prompt and when you have a problem they are here, they are just wonderful I can't say enough and they are very educational so that they are not just telling what they need they are letting you know why you need the work done.

After phoning at 9am in the morning, they had a service guy at the front door by 11:45am (despite giving me a window of 12-5pm), which to me was an impressive start in itself!! Then the technician spent the time to listen (yes, he actually listened AND was interested in my explanation of the problem (the result being my minor repair)) and explained to me what he was doing as he worked, and not once did he try to give me the typical line about "ahhh, hmmmm, this unit is way too old, not worth servicing, you need a new, all singing, all dancing model, that I can sell you today only (of course), for $(insert your crazy pricing experience here)). In fact, he commended the unit (despite its age), and due to its quality of manufacture, sold me the cheaper service plan at a small loss in commission to himself!! All in all, I was VERY impressed with the experience, signed up for the year's service plan on the spot as a result and the icing on the cake was when he arranged another visit by a more qualified technician (yes he was honest enough to admit he was not the best guy to do that particular job) to check on a problem I have with a ductless A/C unit that another company on here (with high ratings) failed to fix after 5 visits (!!) and just stopped calling me on. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Well, I sent them an email right from this site, and the following day I got a call from them and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Same evening, I called to change appointment time, and they just shifted it to the evening, and young man, Miles arrived, and proceeded to diagnose the problem. Then he showed me the guilty component, sought the price, asked me if he should proceed. He replaced it, ignited the unit and stayed around about an hour to make sure it was functioning, before taking payment information.

Oliver Heating came to clean my air ducts. I don't believe they've been cleaned in probably 10 years. They were very professional. Came on time, wore protective covers on their shoes so not to make a mess in my house. Laid drop clothes too so everything was as is when they left. The best part was that they show you before and after pictures so you know what you're paying for.

Scheduled at my convenience, called before coming, arrived as scheduled. Completed requested work promptly and accurately. Friendly, polite and willing to answer questions.

I switched from another maintenance technician. He found that the gas pressure was too high and adjusted it, which was very good because high gas pressure can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning. The price was good for this contract, it was definitely agreeable. He did everything I thought he should do, I heard they were a good company before I read about them on Angie's List.

We just started using their services. They came exactly in the times they said, called before they came and also gave a reminder call the day before. They were very professional, did not leave a mess and did everything they said they would do. The price that they charged was the price that they said they would charge.

The air conditioner works fine. I'm very happy with it still. The only problem I had was with the concrete that they took out and I made them fill the cement around the piping.

It went ok working with them. They are good but I didn't like that they told me I would have to replace the entire air conditioning unit. They did come on time to do the work. This was nine months ago and my air conditioning unit is still working just fine without a replacement.

They where professional. Their pricing was reasonable. They worked out well the where fast, clean and did what they came in to do. And I was very pleased with the work

They came on time, they finished before they said they would, they cleaned up and wore protective clothing in the house. Excellent workmanship and prompt answering of questions. I signed a service contract with them instead of the company I had been using as they were so professional and competent.

When they came to check the air conditioner and also found that we had a problem with our water system. When I called to schedule an appointment they will give me a range of times. They also have weekend hours for maintenance.

This was our first maintenance since moving into our house just under a year ago. The gentleman went over the A/C unit and did any maintenance that is needed and fixed a part that was not level. I was pleased that he went over what maintenance that we should perform as a homeowner including explaining how the system works. We decided to go with an A/C and Furnace plan for $244, so the amount of this visit was just for part. I was very pleased with the level of service.
