Oliver Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, & Electrical

Company was contacted in order to set up appointment to perform routine service check on gas hot air heating unit. The Company showed up as scheduled and performed the required work. The service person was courteos and everything went fine. I would definitely consider using them again.

I had three quotes and Oliver's pricing was the same as the rest. The reason I chose to work with Oliver was the responsiveness of the salesman to my questions, his invaluable advice on products I needed vs products I didn't, and his communication of available rebates. Bill advised me on teh best furnace for my home, not the most expensive one, warned me off installing a whole house humidifier I was sure I needed but don't, judging from the humidity readings in my house. I got the system my house needed. After my initial quote, the president of the company, Mr Oliver, called to see if he could provide addtional information and gave me his direct phone number. The installation went well and the installers communicated what they were doing and why with me. I felt valued as a customer.

They did a very nice job and we are very happy with the work.

It went well. Norm arrived on time, put on his little booties, and went down to the basement. He conducted a thorough inspection of all the parts of the HVAC unit, including the humidifier. He answered all of our questions thoroughly, summarized what he did, and left us with a paper copy of the inspection process.

Hot water heater suddenly went. Called Oliver and left message in the evening. They arrived next morning to a**** what was needed and installed it that afternoon. We appreciated the Very quick response and great job.

A very helpful technician inspected and cleaned the boiler. He answered all of the questions I had.

The service technician arrived on time. The service technician was very knowledgeable and diagnosed the situation. The air pressure was measured in the tank, and some air was added to the tank. The tank did not need to be replaced. The service technician kept everything clean and he worked in a timely fashion. The only problem so far is with the billing. My check has not been cashed and I have not received the email promised with the itemized bill. I suspect that the problem lies with the use of electronic media (tablet). There seems to be a snafu somewhere. All in all, I would use them again. Excellent service. They do need to fix the electronic billing system.

I was very impressed with their service. We had a leak in our basement over Labor Day weekend. We called Oliver based on reviews from Angie's list, and they had someone here within an hour who fixed our leak. Although we ultimately went with someone else to replace our heater and airconditioner, Oliver was also very prompt and professional about providing us with an estimate.

A friend recommended them so I called for an estimate. Spent quite a bit of time in phone h*** before I got a person who told me they would connect me to sales. She put me back in phone h*** -- and I ended up being asked to leave a message. No one every called us back.

showed up when they said they would. Bill matched quote. Very efficient and hard working. Worked hard to get work done while I was in the hospital. Best plumbers we've ever had! I'll definitely have them back again.

We had a little hiccup at the beginning as they would not honor two coupons. I felt like I had a good service person here who knew what he was doing and did a great job.

THE TECHNICIAN ARRIVED A FEW MINUTES EARLY. HE WAS VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. THE TECHNICIAN EXPLAINED EVERYTHING HE DID IN A CLEAR AND CONCISE MANNER. HE DID NOT MIND EXPLAINING EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS DOING....STEP BY STEP.

I was very pleased with the service tech. The dispatch had spelled my street address wrong so the technician called me for directions to my home. He was courteous and professional. Also very informative when answering my questions. I would definitely use them again.

Responsive, punctual, helpful - great to work with.

Great! Old (>100 yrs) twin in north Wayne. Added air conditioning, a few ducts and a separate mini-duct system: From the time Scott Picha arrived to do the estimate, through the crew meeting my very tight timeline, to the final product - great service, competitive price. Existing heating ducts not quite enough. The Mitsubishi mini closed duct system is fabulous). Clean, no hassle - crew were really good, professional and showed me all the bells and whistles. I had one follow up and Oliver was out in a flash to do it. The key to this system was estimating the load. My neighbors have had trouble with theirs cycling and not staying on long enough to cool - mine is great! And I canNOT believe the energy cost savings. Including the winter, since heat circulates better due to the new return. We have allergies and the air filter is a godsend. Couldn't be happier. Not kidding about the price. When I added up the bits and pieces from the other guys, Oliver was right in there! It was their 40th anniversary, so there was a discount, but still. I wouldn't go with anyone else.

winter tune up. After the tech left the heat kept running and I turned it down and then off and nothing was shutting it down. I called the company after hours and someone answered the phone :) and said they would have a tech come back out at no additional charge to look into it. I kept trying to turn the system off and finally put the ac on which seemed to correct the problem so the next morning I called and told them I thought it was ok and filled them in on what I had done. Well they said they still thought someone should come out to look at it at no charge just in case. Wonderful!. The tech came out and and went over the system very well and could not find the cause of the problem but did find some thing else that needed repair but was not an emergency. My only comment would be that the tech that was here for the original winter inspection did not find the issue the the returning tech found. Over all I was very pleased with the way the company handled everything and all were very professional. Hard to find this quality of service so I will be using them again.

They quoted around $13000, which was high. They seemed very knowledgeable, and if the number they quoted had been at or closer to the numbers we had seen before, we probably would have gone ahead and done it with them. They explained things and they seemed very responsive. The economics was the only thing that dissuaded us from using them. I probably would not use them in the future because their price was so disparate. We had an original quote that was more of the order of $8500 or $9000 for essentially the same job, and another quote from another vendor which was something of the order of $11000 plus. The quote from Oliver Heating Cooling Plumbing & Electrical was just way off the mark.

From the initial contact with Bill Sherriff it was a great experience. Bill was very professional and understood this is a major expense and took his time meeting with us to understand our needs. He submitted his proposal to us and it was better equipment models and pricing than we received from others offering the same manufacturer. The install team came in and completed their work in a professional manner and made sure we understood how to use the new features of the equipment. As a homeowner you occasionally have to become expert about a topic quickly. I did my research and had a good idea of where the market price was for the replacement, they were right on target. They won my business because of the professionalism and hitting the mark with the best equipment / price combination, they sealed future work with the professionalism of the installation. I hope this review helps others in the market.

I contacted them for vent duct cleaning. They were responisive.

I awoke early in the morning to find that even though our AC was not on, the compressor outside was running when it should have been off. I called Oliver, based on the reviews, and was pleasently surprised that they were able to come out later the same day. The gentleman from Oliver arrived within the time appointed, and immediately began his diagnostics with questions that were directly relevant to the problem I was having. He was able to fix the problem without having to replace any parts, and took the time to explain exactly what caused the problem. He was professional and polite, and my entire experience, from my initial call until the service call was completed, will definitely lead me to consider using Oliver again!

Oliver provided a very thorough proposal which included pricing for all components along with documentation from the manufacturers detailing features/specifications for all equipment being proposed. Pricing was a total turnkey price including installation, removal and included all available rebates. A couple of options were also presented. Performed installation in one day. Oliver went the extra mile to fill out rebate paperwork for PECO to ensure that we received the rebate quoted in their proposal.
