The sales person was able to think of a more creative way to install a new a/c system than two other contractors by using both ductless and duct options on different floors saving me about $6000. The team of three initial technicians put in their time but two of them did not seem overly motivated to do the job well or in a timely manner, except Joe. He communicated well, acted professionally and semed to care more than the other two. They came out each morning, four days in a row to install two ductless units on the 3rd floor, two ductless units on the 1st floor and a duct system using the knee hole space on the 3rd floor to provide the 2nd floor bedrooms with ceiling vents and its own thermostat. According to the tenant they were tracking mud in the house enough to be bothersome. The day after the installation was completed, the electricity in the rooms where work was performed did not work, but it was fine in the other rooms. They came out promptly that night (a Friday night!) and fixed the problem. A few days later when it got hot out, the tenant noticed that the system was not cooling the 2nd floor (thermostat set on 70, but reading 78 all day) and only moderately cooling one of the 3rd floor bedrooms with a ductlessunit in it. Another techician came out thought he knew what the problem was - leak of freon in the new outdoor part of the system but could not access it because of the rainy weather. The next week, same problem and they sent another technician out to fix the problem. He said everything was working fine and could not understand why we called, however after explaining again what the first techician found, he went through the systems again and found that wires were installed incorrectly preventing all parts of the system from working properly. He fixed the problem. During that whole post installation, pre-functioning period, Oliver had sent out a carpenter to repair cracks in the ceiling and walls (plaster) caused by installation team, box in the duct installed in a 3rd floor bedroom and create a way to hide the 3rd floor unit behind doors, but leave it accessible for servicing. He did a fabulous job, even matched the color paint to the color of the walls. It took him a few days, but the work was preofessional. So, in summary, there were a lot of unanticipated problems with the installation and getting the system to work as expected, but it is done and working and Oliver was responsive to the problems and quick to send out people to fix the problems.

Scheduled a tune-up online between 12 pm and 5 pm. Nobody showed up. Called at 4:45 pm to find out what was going on, they claim their technician was here between 1:45 and 2:15 knocking on the door. I heard nothing. Didn't this dope think to RING THE DOORBELL? It is a third floor unit with an enclosed vestibule down on the ground floor! They supposedly called my old landline phone number (I moved last year) despite my giving them my cell phone number and a new landline number that I had forwarded to my cell phone. So I sat in my secondary home all day waiting for a dumb technician who never showed up. I think I'll take my chances on this old A/C not breaking this summer. If it does break, I'll call somebody else. I don't think I want somebody that DUMB screwing around with something as complex as an air conditioner now!

We needed to replace our old double bowl laundry tub with a single bowl laundry tub after issues with leaks, and needing to move the washing machine farther from the electrical panel. The plumber arrived at 4:15pm, we were given a window of 12-5pm, so technically it was in time, however I was told upon scheduling the estimate that they could go ahead and repair on site if they had all the parts. Clearly, his arrival time meant he would not in fact be installing that day. Since we were hoping to have it installed that day, we were prepared with a laundry tub purchased from Home Depot (with a shelf, pull-out faucet, and towel bar - higher end, but we wanted something nicer if we were going to replace it). The plumber said they would not be able to give a 2 yr warranty on parts and labor if he installed a customer provided product, but said he would give us a quote for both. He also suggested we replace the old sewer stack from floor to ceiling, and then connect the tub directly to the new stack, closing off the existing trap. He said he would give us a quote on both options: (A) $384 Laundry tub through Oliver + installed to connect to existing trap (B) $744 laundry tub through Oliver + replace sewer stack + installed to connect to new stack. His tablet was not working so I was given a paper estimate, and no separate estimate for installing the tub we had purchased. I called throughout the week to find out the cost of installing the one we had purchased and to find out how much a tub provided by Oliver actually cost. They could not give me the "breakdown of parts and labor" just the total price for the job. They said they would call me back after talking to the plumber who gave the estimate. No one returned the call. The next day, I called back, I was told again that they had to contact the plumber because he did a paper estimate, they couldn't see it. Finally, someone actually called me back and said the job would be more expensive if using our own tub, because the pipes would need to be reconfigured and new shut off valves installed. They still could not tell me how much the tub supplied but Oliver would cost. The next day, I called back and asked what it would cost to install the tub we had purchased, Sabrina said she would call me back after contacting the plumber. She called back and said it would be $474 ($90 more expensive than installing an Oliver laundry tub). I said ok, that's fine, but we also want to replace the sewer stack, to which she responded it would be $744 for JUST the sewer stack. I explained that I'm looking at an estimate that details the job of a new laundry tub, faucet, removal of stack, replaced with PVC, all totaling $744 (see attached estimate - read it yourself and I'm sure you'll agree that I'm reading exactly what it says). No, no, no, you're reading it wrong. It's $384 for the tub and $744 for the stack. Well that's not what it says and not what the plumber said when he was here (believe me, I asked all the clarifying questions I could). I asked her if she could look at the copy of the paper estimate, to see what I was seeing, but she instead offered to listen to all the recorded conversations I had this week. I was talking about the paper provided in person by the plumber, not the phone calls! I told her I had to call her back, because the job we thought would be around $744 (plus $90 more to install the laundry tub we purchased) was now going to cost $1218!!! Sabrina gave me her direct line to call back when I had made the decision and advised me to do so quickly because she needed to stop the order for the parts. I called her back 10 min later, ready to email her the copy of the estimate I had scanned, but I just got her voicemail. 30 min later, I called again, voicemail. I told them to go ahead and cancel the order. A month or so ago, we were enlisted in the Oliver plumbing plan, which meant the estimate was technically free of charge. Now I've wasted time trying to get in contact with all these people from Oliver, and will be starting the process all over again with Wm. Henderson. I'm sure anything will be better than this and at least they will be straight forward on an estimate and not be so set on selling their own products. They get an F for pricing because it has been unclear, and in my opinion, unfair; a D for quality because the plumber describe a decent proposed job, but changed the complexity of it every time someone from Oliver called him to ask about installing the laundry tub we purchased (while he never made it seem like a problem when he was here - it was just the lack of warranty); F on responsiveness, I've spent more time trying to get a hold of someone and transferred all around to get lousy answers; D for punctuality, arriving at the end of a window, when I was told it could be installed the day of (now obviously that wasn't going to happen if we replaced the sewer stack) but we were also supposed to get our plumbing inspection (as a part of the plumbing plan), and that wasn't happening either; F for professionalism, acknowledge your error and own it - don't make the customer seem wrong or crazy. If I received an estimate that was written incorrectly, you should still honor it and realize mistakes like that are going to happen, but we'd rather lose some money than a customer's business for a lifetime.

He couldn't do it when he came to do the repair but I told him I would use them. The price was lower than the other guy I used. The work area was neat and tidy. I adjusted the thermostat myself.

I was pretty happy. He had the part. He was knowledgeable. It was a common repair. I'm in a development and the houses are 15 years old now so many people have had to replace. It looks like it's about the size of a soda can and it cost $350.

The work took an hour. My problem is you get a different person every time. So you could have a person come out and work on a problem and then have it come back up again and they send a new person out and you feel like you are starting all over again. It's like going to a new doctor everything, they arent familiar with your equipment. I know they do put everything in the computer but you feel like they're doing it all over again. I don't think its the technicians fault, I think its the schedulers.

I had described the A/C unit in detail, and the filter. He arrived and told me he needed to go to buy the filter, that I hadn't described it to him. charged me for the time. Then told me he works by himself, so not sure who I described the filter on the phone over 30 min.

Went very well: the guys who came were very professional and careful. I was in and out of the house all day, and at every time I could tell they were focused on the work. I asked them to save the old windows, and they put them neatly in a corner of the basement just as I had asked.

I've been in my home for 20 years. This is the best service experience I ever had. John was personable, knowledgeable, and thorough. Other companies I've used always try to sell me something, or tell me something is broken, and I have an unexpected $325 layout. This did NOT happen with Oliver. They did the maintenance work and I had no additional cost.
Description of Work: HVAC Winter maintenance. I signed a service contract and will have the Summer maintenance done when I'm using the A/C.

The end result for the toilet greatly exceeded my expectations. Thanks to Kevin for his ideas and also for reviewing them with his coworkers. I also appreciate the thorough inspection of all the plumbing in my house. It's worth the peace of mind.

The electrician (Ed) was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and clearly explained the changes that would make my house safer. I use Oliver for heat, air, plumbing, electrical, air duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, and water filtering. I think Oliver is a great company. Today was another great experience with them. The annual electrical inspection is a great way to make sure your house is safe from any electrical problems.

Very responsive. They are very professional. I have yet to come across a technician that came out to my house that was not professional. The work they did was normal maintenance type work. It took a couple of hours. The work was completed satisfactorily. Any mess was cleaned up.
