While there was some confusion about the Deal, overall it turned out pretty well. I needed to call a couple times and the first call was not returned. The pricing was more than anticipated.

There was a glitch with the dehumidifier. When they installed it they did not adjust the AC setting to keep it running longer. They also accidentally grabbed our drainage hose for the humidifier we already had. They did replace the hose for us, however. With this exception, the company does a thorough job and knows what they are talking about as a whole.

Didn't do the audit requested. Didn't address issues of concern. Aspects of estimate seemed overpriced, some were fair. I asked for a specific type of evaluation and was crystal clear in the description of it. They actually sent me a brochure describing this service explaining its advantages over the usual inspection. Amazingly, the HVAC guy did none of it. I called to request the service we originally agreed upon. They said he didn't do that but asked ME to contact him. He was nice and offered to do what I originally requested. I had lost confidence in Oliver by this point and declined. Very disappointing as I was planning to upgrade a lot of things.

Service technician called before he arrived - actually arrived earlier than expected. Found the source of the water back up - water was backing up in the basement from the drain in the floor. He had to run back to the main office to pick up a machine in order to open the clogged pipe. The technician was very pleasant - helpful - explained the process. He even helped with the laundry tub that seemed to have water drainage issues.

Tried calling to schedule a hot water water heater service for over a week. Called multiple times and was never able to get through to a live person; only an auto-attendant that said "all representatives are busy, please leave name, etc. . ." Left two messages aside from multiple attempts to get through to live a person over the course of a week. Never got any response from anyone. Terrible service and complete lack of professionalism and follow-thru.

Would have loved to have converted to gas but that was not a viable option, PECO wanted $110,000 to run a gas line. This was a two day project. Excellent execution from the beginning until completion. I love the long showers now and the self bleeding system. This was worth every penney !

Appointment was scheduled. Chris O called to tell us he was about 10 minutes away. He came in and put on his booties, greeted us both - big smile. Went to work and updated my husband on what was going on. Work was under our warranty, so we were happier. Chris was very professional and friendly.

Very mixed feelings-- am hoping we can eventually get things resolved, but losing the belief that this will ever get fixed! Had whole new system installed in mid-August (heating, A/C, humidifier, dual zone system). Good experience with the sales experience and initial installation. All of the technicians have been professional and timely. However, here we are four months later and the system has not been entirely functional without problems yet! We've had to take time off of work for seven service calls (and we know there will be at least one more, based on the latest part having to be ordered as a result of today's service call). Since several service calls have resulted in additional system issues, we have very little confidence that this latest theory regarding the loud, persistent whistling noise will actually be the root cause and final solution. I have held off writing a review for a long time, but am at a loss as to how to get this fixed. I did write an email to our sales person since I was told on the phone that that is who I should raise concerns with-- wrote this on Thursday, knowing we had the service call scheduled on Friday afternoon, detailing the known issues we needed resolved with Friday's service call. I even called the company on Friday morning, hoping to raise it for someone's awareness that we had this list of outstanding issues that needed to be resolved that afternoon. I was transferred to a person's voice mail and assured I would receive a return call. No return call was received. Technician did what he could Friday afternoon, but determined it was too complex and he needed to come back out when he would have more time and could bring another individual with him. We rescheduled for today (still no response to my email or voice mail from last week). They again did what they could, but with consultation with Lennox, determined that they think the inducer motor is the issue. This part is being ordered and will result in another service call to fix the ongoing loud whistling noise (hopefully). Other issues have included the system throwing off error codes less than 24 hours after it was installed. And, the control unit having failed twice and having to be replaced. I do want to give credit that when the control unit failed right before our vacation, Oliver did respond quickly to my concerns installing a temporary thermostat that while taking us down to a single zone system, allowed us to control the heat settings. However, upon installing the replacement control unit, it seemed that some settings were not configured correctly, resulting in our upstairs not heating appropriately, our humidifier not humidifying, etc. Thus, these two most recent service calls. Meanwhile, two additional issues were discovered with the system-- moisture leaking from it and a technician noting that our 'gas backup' wasn't functioning properly. Where does it all end?!

I contacted Oliver heat cool on Friday October 31, 2014 because I had no heat. I was very happy they told me they could send someone out the next day Saturday November 01, 2014.. The telephone Contact Rep was very courteous and spoke with confidence they would fix my problem which relaxed me.. The Technician arrived in a timely manner and understood my problem and met my needs and his truck was well supplied with parts and tools to fix it my heater. The Technician answered all of my questions I had about the heating system and how it worked...The Technician showed me how to turn the Gas line off if I had to. He cleaned the gas heater and his work area was clean. He wore shoe covers to help keep my floors clean. I was very impressed with the service and I would recommend them. I purchased a maintenance agreement with them.. I told them I was a proud member of Angie's List and I contacted them because of Angie's List. I give them a 5 star rating .

Service was excellent. Only problem was confusion over the price for service since the call was initiated through one of Angie's List deals. I called Angie's list with the service man in my presence. Everyone was very professional and understanding. All was resolved very well. The only thing I was not happy about was the service man trying to sell me a service package. I asked for documented information about this plan, he said he did not have any but would ask the office to send me the information. While I am interested in such a package, I prefer to have a document outlining what I am paying for. Still waiting to receive the info.

It went wonderfully--Kevin advised us (based on what we told him about smelling gas when we ran the dryer) to purchase a new dryer since the one we had was 30+ years old. He then proceeded to quickly find the leak in our kitchen sink's main drainpipe. He came back into the house with soldering equipment and soldered the pipe and we are back in business! Kevin prepared the bill with the appropriate discount and was on his way. This was the second time Kevin has worked on our plumbing and as always he is knowledgeable and professional.

Oliver HVAC Contacted me to negotiate pricing for new gas heater, furnace and central air conditioner. I found the pricing to be competitive. Work was done extremely professional and efficiently in one day. All systems were tested and checked prior to leaving my residence. The bill of sale listed exactly what work would be done, items removed, etc. Salesman was very knowledgeable about capacities, etc. Provider was very clean about the area of work leaving no mess behind. The owner of Oliver called me a few days later to see I was happy with the work done.

I called the office after I purchased the "deal" I had a fire sprinkler pipe that had developed a leak and was spewing a constant stream of water. I had already called a fire sprinkler company who told me to use a plumber it would be much cheaper. I clearly told the lady that answered the phone what the issue was, including the sprinkler details. She transferred me to another lady who I repeated the whole story to - she scheduled me for an afternoon appointment between noon and 5. The plumber arrived at 7 after several calls telling me he would be late. He looked at the sprinkler and immediately said he couldn't touch that for liability reasons. I explained that I had checked with the sprinkler company and they recommended plumber. No go. I had him look at fixing another pipe to my exterior hose bib and he wanted to charge me $308 more to do that. No thanks. So when all is said and done, I still have no water and it's too late to get a sprinkler company tonight. I will be calling to ask for a refund tomorrow!

This service for $286.00 is performed twice a year to maintain my HVAC system. The technician arrived on time, wore protective booties, explained what he was going to do, and went about his work. The good news was that everything was working properly. The technician was very polite and professional. I had been with another company for years and was satisfied until their reps failed to keep appointments with me on three separate occasions. I don't know why I waited so long to switch to Oliver, but I am very happy that I did!

Our AC stopped running - just a humming sound. We turned it off and called this in on July 2nd and someone from Oliver came out on July 3rd. We were so happy that we'd have AC for the long weekend! But NO! They did not have the part and would order it. I assumed it would arrive on Monday 7/7 but was hopeful they'd come over the weekend. No call on Monday - so I called on Tuesday. They said the part was back-ordered but should arrive today. This pattern repeated for the next 3 days. We never got a pro-active call telling us that the part had been delayed (yet again). Finally, they called us late in the day on Thursday and came out on Friday to repair. The repair guy was professional and got the job done quickly. My beef was that they should have pro-actively called me and set better expectations around when the part would arrive. Otherwise, job was done to my satisfaction.
Description of Work: Diagnosed non-functional AC, replaced the part to get unit up and running.
