McCabe & Son Roofing

I called last week and left a detailed message about the work I needed and have received no response. I used Scott years ago and thought that if you were a previous customer at least I'd get a call back. Bad assumption and in a way I'm glad now as what would've happened if I had hired him?

We called last week and Dave, the estimator, made an appointment with us. He never showed up and never called or texted to cancel. We’ve called him (on the number he provided) three times since then and have received no response. We had used Scott years ago and always recommended him. Not anymore. If you don’t want the work then don’t make an appointment and not show up. It’s very unprofessional not to call or respond to messages. I guess they didn’t want our business. At least we didn’t hire him and then this happened.

Scott and his crew are awesome. Quailty, value and professional through entire process. Very thorough and clean. Scott is a great person who takes pride in his work and it shows. Very punctual and gave me a complete estimate up front and true to his word!

They did an excellent job, fast, courteous, professional, clean. We could not have asked or expected better service and work. We can recommend Scott and his crew without reservation!

Scott got back to us quickly with a through estimate. He answered tons of emails from us with lots of questions, and dropped off sample after sample of shingles for us to choose from. Our full roof replacement, and new gutters were completed in less than 3 days!! The crew was respectful and diligent, and even came back an extra day to do a final cleaning after the snow melted. Everything looks great!

We recently had a new roof installed by McCabe & Son Roofing (Link: [*** Link removed ***] This is the third roofing job McCabe has done for us. Their pricing is fair and their work is outstanding- they are great craftsman and work efficiently. Roofing is a dirty business and they do an excellent job cleaning up the job site when finished- our yard was actually cleaner when they left! We give McCabe Roofing 5 stars, and will certainly use them for any future roofing repairs. They are highly recommended!

Scott and his group were extremely professional. Wonderful group of guys, prompt to the job each day, cleaned up after themselves each day and very easy to work with. They were here to make the house look it best, success. We have a large roof so the $$ was a bit higher but we certainly got what we paid for. Very happy customers.

Scott and Chuck did a fantastic job replacing the flat garage roof that had been leaking. They also pulled out the old door that led to the roof from the second floor and replaced that space with a new window and added new siding where needed. Everything looks great and very solid - wouldn't know that a new window and exterior siding was added to the preexisting wall. For the first time in 10 years since I've owned the house, I can honestly say I have confidence that this roof won't leak again for some time. Clean-up was terrific - no evidence of work ever having been done.

The team was very professional, punctual and each day cleaned the entire job site. Scott consulted us on different options to improve the water dispersement from the gutters to get it away from the foundation. He saw some issues with house the bathroom vents were done and fixed that in the roof replacement. My wife and I could not be happeir and know that we made the right choice when we got several quotes, we talked to several people and then went with McCabe and Son Roofing. When you spend that much money you want to know it is done the best way possible using quality products and Scott made that happen.

Great ! Came out to look at roof diagnose problem & give estimate came on appt’d day @ appt’d. time. Finished as promised. Cleaned up and yellowed up with unit to ascertain satisfaction. All were friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. Would definitely recommend without hesitation.

Scott and his crew were always on time. Very professional & friendly. Scott installed confidence in me after our first mtg. Scott’s team was extremely neat. They left no rotten wood. Replaced everything unlike some roofers who put plywood over rotten wood. I can’t say enough good things about them.

Returned calls in a timely fashion. Offered service on 1st day of arrival which was a patching quick fix offered discount of replacement & future out was truly it taking care of the couple a replacement alan called.

The job went well. There were many different sections of roof at different levels with several dormers and lots of eaves, rakes and valleys, not to mention two chimneys.. All of this required lots of detail work, appropriate materials and knowledgeable, skilled workmanship . The owner of the company did a thorough, extensive inspection as part of preparing his cost estimate and work plan which were well documented. He also was patient and helpful in working with us to select the right shingle and color not to mention answering LOTS of our questions. He and his crew showed up on time on the agreed day and worked straight through until the job was completed two days later. The owner was on-site and working most of the time and his assistant and foreman were always on the job. Days after the job was completed the owner personally came back to address the loose ends that always occur on a job of this size. Key factors in our choosing this contractor were the ability to deal directly with the owner during all phases of the job, and the confidence we felt in his roofing knowledge and professionalism. He made sure that everything necessary for a professional job was included in his bid. He really knows his stuff! His company and crew were plenty big enough to do the job quickly and well and yet small enough for close interaction with us. Also, we have extensive plantings close to the house and the owner and his crew took the necessary precautions to protect them from damage. They did a good job of yard clean-up.

Scott and his crew was on time, very professional,detailed and all workmanship was superb. Very attentive to my needs. Did a lot of work over and above what was quoted! Price was great and very neat after roof clean up. I applaud Scott and his crew for quality work and complete customer satisfaction.

Scott came over the day or two after I initially called him for an estimate. He spent awhile up on the roof looking over everything and taking pictures. He spoke to me at length over email and in person reviewing the problem areas of the roof. His estimate was extremely thorough and his work covered many areas that others didn't. You can tell that he is a true craftsman and wants the job to be done exactly how it is supposed to be done. He seems to take great pride in his work and you get what you see.

He is a local. The quality is okay. There is one gutter that we've got that's continually plugged and I keep asking him to unplug it. But, he doesn't seem to be able to. The cost is okay. They respond pretty fast. We use him every year.

Chuck did a perfect job with what turned out to be a trickier job than anticipated, as the boards that were capped were warped.

Scott is an incredible professional, and was the most knowledgeable roofer I have ever seen. I have full confidence that had we gone with him, he would have done the best job. Unfortunately, his cost was not quite where we needed it to be. For any future needs, he will be my first call.

Contractor was punctual coming out to give an estimate and talked through several scenarios for repair with an eye towards keeping costs down. Contractor arrived and completed the work on schedule to our great satisfaction for the price charged. I would not hesitate to use McCabe and Son Roofing again.

Scott did a good job. He even came back later to try to fix a leak in another part of my roof.

They came when they said they would; they were courteous, professional, quick and within budget; the roof still looks great.

They were excellent. They were very professional and efficient. They even left the place cleaner than when they got here! I couldn't be more satisfied with the work.

We contacted a number of roofers, and got estimates that did vary a bit. We picked Scott McCabe, as he was super professional, and I had seen him and his crew at work on other homes, and thought the work was outstanding. They are the best, as I was a contractor a long time ago, and believe me, the attention to detail was something rarely seen in Contracting. The bid was the price, and we did run into some rotten wood, and were told that was not part of the estimate. I always worry about the and quot;extrasand quot; but I have to tell you, when I got the bill, and saw the work and labor, I thought it was too cheap. Fair, honest and dependable. Enough said!!!

We called McCabe Roofing for an estimate on replacing all the original siding and trim on our house . When Scott came to give us an estimate, he told us that although the siding had been on the house since it was built in the late '60s, it was still in good shape and really just needed slight repairs in a few places, and painting. We had painted it about 10 years ago but thought it was time to replace it. He disagreed. We took his advice and had him replace all the trim and soffets with vinyl. He found trouble spots with some of our downspouts and recommended a few adjustments to improve our water drainage. His team also powerwashed the roof. All the work his team performed was first class. They completed the job in two days as expected. We appreciated his honesty. He could have easily re-sided our entire house, about a $20,000 job. Now we only have to pay about $3,000 to a painter.
