Abominable job of removing grout on a bluestone patio and re-grouting and re-caulking expansion joints around the pool. Cement was dumped in several places on my property. When I asked the owner to remove them, he said, “We covered them with leaves.” The caulk at the expansion joints is above the stone (potential hazard) and sloppy as is the grout work. The blue stone is covered with vestiges of white cement. They left a tool that was dropped in the pool causing rust at the pool’s bottom. They were instructed to cover and protect a small, edible, organic garden bed, but did not protect it leaving shards of cement and cement dust in the bed which we had to dig out and re-fill with new organic soil. When Tyler, the owner, was questioned about this problem, his response was “I can’t be here all the time with my men as I’m growing my business and I have to believe they will do the job.” Bottom line is that the patio is in worse shape now than prior to them being here. I was told the job would be finished in five day but in actuality, it was over a month. I will let the photos do the rest of the talking.
Response from TD Bully II
Hey Susan, so let’s start off with saying these pictures are not of our work! Pictures posted under our photos of jobs we’ve done, are the services we performed and the final result. You were under contract for the grout to be removed and replaced with new, which was done to code and is in great condition. Cement was not dumped in several spots, that was run off from the saw and water used, which was cleaned up after the job was complete. When it comes to your garden, we covered the garden with a tarp before performing services, it is out of our control if a little bit of grout dust got in there while removing it, but your garden is right next to the stone and pool so it’s extremely hard to avoid getting anything near that area especially with the wind. After the tarp was removed, the garden bed was blown off so all the dust was removed. The garden is still in good condition, and still can be used for vegetables and fruits. From the beginning, you had a problem with the way we were performing services, as if you are the professional. You even had your brother-in-law and neighbor come out and take a look and they even said it looks great. I’m not exactly sure what you were expecting the end result to look like, but this is how this type of service is performed and should look with the end result. The job should have only taken us a minimum of five days, but it did rain several of those days, in which we had to remove some of the caulk, because it didn’t cure properly because of the precipitation and had to replace with new. And then you had us come back out after the job was complete, because you still were not happy with the end result. It seemed through this whole process you expected something completely different than what you got, when it looks perfectly fine, and will protect everything it is intended to protect. We were always 100% in communication with you in regards to this whole project, and don’t appreciate this one star review when it is not needed and completely false allegations. We completed every request that you had asked each and every time and tried everything to make you happy, but it just seems like everything we did you were not satisfied with. I’m going to request Google to have it removed since I have pictures and proof showing the work was completed the way it’s supposed to be completed along with the contract.
