We hired Joe on the recommendation of our interior designer. The plan was to have two bathrooms (possibly three) and the family room remodeled. First, we would see how well he does little jobs. So, we hired him to replace all of the door hardware (including a swinging door), and paint our new Pella sliding doors. I made it very clear to him that my biggest concern was that I did not want any paint on the glass and/or the hardware, as this will make our brand new Pella doors look old and overpainted. Needless to say, there was paint on many of the window panes and on all of the hardware and rubber insulation. I did my best to get it off, but I am very upset. As for the door hardware, four of the doors had to be "redone," only one by him. The door wouldn't open. On the other three jobs, the swinging door won't swing, so it is permanently closed unless you push really hard (and now the paint is all scraped off). The door handle and lock are installed poorly and you can see daylight through the fixture. Lastly, one of the door catchers that holds the door closed wasn't catching. (I was able to fix the last one myself). My handyman will try and repair the other two jobs. My wife has emailed him on a number of occasions over the past two months. He used to respond immediately to e-mails. We have not heard from him. I guess we are going to have someone else do the bathrooms. Any suggestions?
Description of Work: He was hired to change the door hardware on 11 interior and exterior doors. He was also hired to paint the new Pella doors we recently installed.
