I phoned and got someone to drive by and take a look at the volume of stuff to chip. They left the quote in the mail box and we called to schedule the service. We waited a few days, expecting the work to be completed, but nothing happened. I called Mike and he said that the job had slipped his mind, apologized profusely, and that he would get someone on it right away. That same day I came home to find two guys working hard. The job wasn't very high priority for us either so we weren't too bothered. The workers found a den of super tiny baby rabbits under the debris and were careful around them and pointed them out to me so we could also avoid them. They really were careful because the mother came back to find the nest evidently not too disrupted and continued to nurse. Since then, the rabbits have all safely left the den. The work mix-up didn't bother us, and their consideration of wildlife had a big impact on our opinion of the company. We'd definitely hire them again.

The crew was out earlier than scheduled the next day and I was not home at the time; there was a bit of confusion about which tree needed the work (another tree on the other side of the house but just outside my property also had damage), but once that got straightened out the work went smoothly, including cleanup. Overall, I was very pleased with the professional, individual service from first contact to completion of the work.

The owner came to the house to look over the job and gave us a detailed written estimate on the spot. Everyone we dealt with from Shades of Green were very professional. They were punctual, arriving at the scheduled time for the estimate and the work. The men who did the work did a great job, and the owner stopped by to see the work in progress. The trimmed trees look great. The workers cleaned up after themselves and left the yard looking spotless. We would definitely use this company again and would recommend them to anyone.

They arrived promptly and worked without pause until the trees were down. One of the stumps was ground away so completely, one cannot tell that there was a large tree there. They obligingly cut up the ash into fireplace lengths (tho' I still had to split 'em). They left no mess and only minimal damage to the lawn where large pieces of falling trunk gouged. They charged a healthy price, but the promptness and the professionalism made it worth it. I recomend them and would be happy to call on them again.

Everything went fine. I just had more confidence in someone else, but they were a very close second.

I can't say I disliked anything. They did a very good job and what they did was reasonable. I will have them out again and am very pleased.

If I hadn't been there to direct the workers, they would not have trimmed the bushes to the height I felt was necessary. They did a good job due to my being there. I marked quality as N/A as the quality was high due to my direction.

The arborist was very knowledgeable, and he was giving me input on some of the other plants. They were prompt. The only was that he told me that they were going to come back and do us a favor by removing some stuff, but they forgot to. The quality of the work was good.

They were good, and I was happy with the service. I don’t know a lot about tree work but it seemed like it was a hard job to do, and they did a good job of it. It was done safely, which was very important. I know tree work is expensive but I thought it would be a little less money than it was. I would use them in the future, if necessary.

The head of the company came out promptly to do an estimate. The work was scheduled shortly thereafter. The crew arrived on time and did an excellent job, including cleanup. All company personnel were friendly and easy to deal with. We added one additional work item on the day that the work was done. We easily reached an agreement on the extra cost.

Excellent. I went to work, the tree was there. I returned home, the tree was gone and everything was nicely cleaned up with no debri left behind.

They are very prompt. I met with them this past weekend to go over the design. He is very professional. Easy to work with and very personable. He is willing to work with the customer as far as pricing. His presentation consisted of the design on blue print, as far as the different plants and trees he had color pictures.

I was very pleased with the work they did. They cleaned up very well and left everything neat when they left.

Charlie Soboleski was the designer for over a year and over saw everything. He worked with me to develop a comprehensive plan for transforming my yard. Though many changes were made prior to setting out the gardens, Mr. Soboleski never lacked patience. The attention to detail was amazing as was the work ethic shown on the days when the crew installed the shrubs and plants to design. They also follow through on all of their work, and they get an A for pricing. My thanks to all for a super job.

Overall they were very good. The crew arrived on time and got right to work. The only problems were some damage to my gutters from a dropped tree limb and several pieces of dangerous deadwood that were not removed. I spoke with the supervisor, Bill, who was back the next day to correct the problems.

They wanted to overcharge me for a small job. They probably could have reused the rocks at another job.

Due to a family illness I was not able to take care of the over growth in our yard. A tree and a large vine from a neighbor's yard was growing out of control into my yard, along the alleyway and up on to the roof. The crew from Shades of Green was wonderful. Their work was outstanding. The price was much better then an estimate I was given from another company.

Everything was okay up until we received the quote. We could not check off the things that we wanted. Nothing was itemized. Mainly I just wanted the trees pruned. When I asked for them to just give me a quote on pruning the trees they responded and I quote "We will not just come out to just prune the Leyland Cypress. We have a 500.00 minimum". Very interesting since others have quoted on this board that they had work done for less.

Everything was done exactly as requested. They came on time, were very professional, cleaned up my yard and neighbors for any debris they'd created.

Their stump grinder broke and it started raining, and they refused payment until the job was completely finished. How more honest can you be? They've been very professional all the way.

They did a good job and they clean up was excellent. The price was fair, they were prompt and followed a specific request for where I wanted them to park.

They made recommendations. I feel very comfortable about using this company.

Crew came out same day I called for an appointment. They were very professional, friendly and efficient. The two man crew did a good job cleaning up the area, being mindful of nearby plants. The following week another crew ground out the stump.
