Erin really took the time to explain tree health and her recommendations. Was very honest in telling me how I could save money and where money was best spent. We plan to continue using Shades of Green to maintain the health of the trees and shrubs on our property.

These guys are great. They advised me on what to do and why it was important, they also advised me on how I could save money and do a few things myself and which trees/plants could be salvaged.

I spoke to Erin on the phone and she promptly scheduled a date to come out for an estimate. Erin was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and I appreciated the time she spent answering my questions. If we decide to move forward, we will definitely use Erin's team. Because of Erin, I will highly recommend Shades of Green to my family, friends, and colleagues.

Workmen were courteous and and cordial. They cleaned up all tree debris and other refuse. They even made sure our trash can was emptied and mail was delivers even though their equipment was in the way.

I couldn't have asked for better service. Their prices were competitive, their sales rep was responsive and their work was done on time and with great results and clean up. I will continue to use them for years to come.

All went well and faster than I'd expected (but there were 5 people on the job). There was a leader, yet they worked as a team. They were all very polite and gracious for something as simple as coffee and ice water. Although the work date kept needing to be moved strictly due to weather, they were proactive and willing to coordinate with my schedule. I feel that they don't try to take advantage or sell something that's not necessary. About a month after the contracted work was completed, I called about another tree trimming that I'd forgotten to mention at the start. Mike came out, and rather than have me hire them for what could have been an unnecessary job, he gave me advice as to what I could (and said I was willing to) do. Yet he left it open for me to call should I need the help.

Did not use the service because we could not get the provider to call us back. After four phone calls, one of which was to cancel, the request, we finally got a return call.

The work was great. All the guys were great!

I asked for them to deliver playground mulch. What they dumped onto my property was basically garbage, not playground mulch. I had to throw it away. Be careful.

They do quality work. I live a fairly wooded area. So there a lot of trees and I have a large investment in landscaping. I wouldn't say that their pricing is the lowest but I get what I pay for. I am moving and so I won't be using them in the future.

No complaints. Did everything I asked plus they took an extra branch I didn't initially ask for and cut down an additional tree for a small fee (I offered the fee and they accepted).

For a while we were having scheduling problems and playing phone tag with each other. But when I finally was able to schedule an appointment, on the day of, they did not show up. That's not good business.

Provider showed up for the quote after I called a second time asking for an estimate. Angie's List reviews were so good that I wanted to give this company a chance to bid on it. After second call, they came right out. He walked around property and explained what trees needed to be pruned and which ones should be removed. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Before he left, he provided me with a quote that was more than double his competitors. I did believe his company would do a good job, but I went with the less expensive bidder and saved more than $1400 by not using this provider. I have no doubt he would do good work, but, for this type of job, I didn't think he was worth double the price of his competitors.

Young man came to my home and surveyed the tree that needed to be removed. Explained how they would proceed with the removal and gave estimate including a discount for being an Angie's List member. Unfortunately, another tree service gave an estimate which was $245.00 less.

During the estimate I was fully explained to what the job would entail and the cost. It was decided not to use a bucket truck due to limited access to a back yard so they'd have to climb the tress and use poles for the trimming. On the day of the job all work was done safely and efficiently. I came out at the end and suggest a few more branches I wanted remove to affect more sunlight and reduce risk of future storm damage to property. They used a chipper, leaf blowers, shovels and rakes to clean up ALL debris on the property and the curbside where the chipper was parked.

I've been using Shades of Green for several years now for all of my tree work, lawn care, and landscape maintenance. They are true professionals in every respect. Not necessarily the cheapest in town, but you get what you pay for. My property has many tress and a large number of beds with plants and scrubs. They provide me with the yearly spring start up and fall cleanup that would be too much for me to handle. I've started to use them for lawn care as well. They do not just apply chemicals to the lawn on a pre-scheduled basis liek some of the big name services. A lawn care expert keeps an eye on the condition of the turf and add only that which is needed.

I really liked the guy; he was a very nice guy. He came over right away and walked around our yard and he gave us a quote.

We received estimates from multiple firms. While not the lowest, Shades of Green was towards the lower range. The estimate was based on a walk around our property with the owner explaining why he recommended the actions he did. Once we agreed on the work to be performed, the crew showed up on time, were very professional and hard working and did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards. I was extremely pleased with the work performed and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

Quick and responsive to my initial email and provided an estimate in under a week. Scheduled the service easily, and they were on time, did a quick job, cleaned up, and were gone. A job well done.

Excellent service experience from start to finish. Shades of Green has an office manager that answers calls directly rather than an answering service, or even worse, and answering machine/voicemail. Fran in the office asked specific and informed questions about the services that I was interested in and forwarded that information on to Mike, the owner. Mike got back to me within an hour of my first contact and scheduled an appointment for an estimate/proposal promptly. Upon receiving the estimate I decided to go with Shades of Green on the spot because Mike was just as professional and knowledgeable as two other companies that I received estimates from but much more competitive on price. I received a clearly written proposal that morning before he left and an honest estimate of when the services would be performed - approximately 2 weeks from that day. The following Monday I received a call from Mike stating that another customer had rescheduled and that they could fit us in on the next day - Tuesday. I agreed and he stated they would be there by 8:00 in the morning. The crew and Mike arrived about 15 minutes early and began staging their equipment. We walked my property again with his team and reviewed my requests before work began. The crew worked diligently all day and only took a short break for lunch. They were well equipped, hard working, and cleaned up all of the debris from the many branches and leaves that were removed from the trees. I was able to ask them for several changes to the original request (a few more branches here and there) and they complied politely. This was a full day's work and the crew was moving on to another job that same evening before calling it quits. I was impressed with their skill and work ethic. Shades of Green honored the $100 off Angie's List coupon offered online and I was very much satisfied with the quality, professionalism, and value of their service.
