No one ever called

Communicated before arrival. Showed up on time. Completed the work as promised. Was professional, neat, and thorough. Would definitely recommend and hire again.

This was a big deal purchase and it was very good. I don't remember the name of the vendor. We haven't turned it on yet so I don't know how well it works yet.

Gary scheduled the appointment quickly after I purchased it, and he gave me a two hour arrival window. He arrived in the middle of it, and to me that is good scheduling. I wish half the other people I deal with could narrow it down to two hours. He started it and noticed that there might be a problem with the carburetor due to improper storage with untreated gasoline left in it. I could hear the hesitation. He said he would try to clear it but warned me I might need a new one. To my happy surprise he was able to clean it up enough to delay any carb replacement, at least for now. To me this shows the sign of an honest man. He had me primed and acknowledging that I might need a new part, but he used his judgement and decided I did not need it right now...wait a while and see if the cleaning would do the trick. I would definitely hire him again. He was pleasant, professional, informative, and knowledgeable.

We loved that we did not have to get it in the car and drop it off somewhere for service. We will definitely use this company again for snow blower and for lawn mowers

It was a pleasant experience. Andy came right on time. After looking at the snowblower he explained me few issues he noticed. He also gave helpful tips to maintain snowblower during winter time and after. I would certainly hire him again.

Great job. He was a little backed up with other customers, but it also showed he cared about quality of work that he performed. I had a snowblower that was in iffy condition, and Gary looked at it, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it easily (carburetor). He also took the time to explain snow blower maintenance to me and gave me a list of do's/dont's with maintenance. He also could have hosed me by "additional fees/etc", but didn't. Good man, very expert advice, and he knows his stuff. He is in my calendar every year for snow blower maintenance now.

I had originally called the owner about a week before the appointment, and he said that he was extremely busy, and could not make it until the following Saturday. At that time I gave him my contact number (cell phone), address, and anything else he might need to locate me. He never called to firm up the appointment, as he said he would. I called him the day before our agreed upon date. At that time he said he didn't remember saying that we had an appointment the next day. I reminded him, and he then said that he remembered my earlier phone call, and after some pleading on my part, he said that he would be able to make it between five and six pm the next day. He called a few minutes after the agreed upon appointment time, saying he had too many other jobs to do, and would not be able to make it. I had impressed upon the day before that I was depending on him to be present, as my lawnmower would not start and my lawn had become embarrassingly overgrown. When he called to say he would not keep the agreed upon appointment, I asked if he would consider coming the next day, and he said he would not.

Excellent service, have used this vendor several times

We have used Housecall Mower repair for lawnmower service this past summer. Getting ready for this winter, we contacted them and asked if they could service our snow thrower. The service was conducted within 2 weeks of our request, at 1/2 the price quoted by sears. Good service, excellent pricing!

Our first Angie's List transaction was flawless. We arranged a mutually convenient time voicemail. They showed up as promised and were in and out in no time. No upselling either.

Gary was responsive and scheduled us in very quickly. He assessed the problem and then some additional concerns we had. He was not only timely, but also professional and knowledgeable. He's pleasant, a very hard worker And doesn't mind explaining details or giving pertinent as well as relevant advice. We'd have him back in a heartbeat but hope our mower is kinder to us than that. :) I'd suggest you call Housecall's before going to the bigger service providers or a local niche shop. Gary's pricing is fair and we believe we have received more value for our money by doing so.

Gary was very professional and did a great job. He repaired the safety off switch for no additional charge - the connecting wire had disconnected and the switch was no longer functional.

Gary was very responsive -- We used an Angie List promotion for a $69 push mower tune-up and blade sharpening. The mower is working great, and the cut is much improved. We also had Gary do an tune-up on another mower. He honored the Angie's list price (+$10 discount) -- the work was bit more expensive since we have to have a drive belt replaced.

Gary came and spent four hours getting all my mowers back up and running. The riding mower had deflated rear tires and wouldn't start because it had been in disuse for a few years. So Gary came and put air back into them, and charged up the dead battery. He changed the air filter and installed a new battery that he went out and purchased as needed from the local hardware store. The personal pace power mower is back in good shape after carburator was cleaned. Checked the tractor mower and did a test run. Gary was very nice and gave me a refresher lesson on best safety practices on operating a riding mower safely. He also sharpened blades on two electric mowers. Also got my chainsaw working and threw in some personal safety instructions on operating that as well. I really appreciate his great common sense and philosophy of giving the client what he needs using his best professional judgment and the money-saving option that makes the most sense. I really appreciate his honesty and common sense. To summarize, Gary was pleasant, professional and a pleasure to work with!!!

He gave me a lot of advice on how to maintain my mower during the season. He also gave me some advice on how to winterize the mower.

I knew that I had hit a rock or something last season and there was something wrong with the blade. He showed me the blade which was very bent and replaced it for $15! I was expecting to get an extra $100 charge. VERY REASONABLE! Was on time, friendly. Excellent service.

Gary called ahead to let me know what time he would be arriving as per my appointment. He was punctual and thorough and told me how to maintain my mower better. He returned it to my shed when done and before leaving asked if I had any questions. I would recommend him to all. I felt the price was good and liked the fact that I did not have to take it anywhere.

Gary was the model for great at-home service - friendly, prompt, thorough, honest, fair. He even went "above and beyond" to ensure everything was done completely and that the unit ran smoothly. Already plan to use him in the Spring for lawn tractor tuneup. THANKS for offering such a great service to those of us without trucks to haul machinery!
