 + 1 moreTop notch all the way. For our initial appointment and survey of job site, Scott Brown brought a folder with referrals, insurance documentation, and photographs of completed work. He was very proactive in suggesting design ideas - something we really needed. Scott and his crew were very receptive to questions and special requests that we had during the project. They showed up when they said they would and finished in just a few days. We couldn't be happier!
Description of Work: 26' by 12' paver patio, installed new paver walkway on side of house 36' by 3.5', removed existing front walkway from driveway to front entrance and installed new concrete broom finish 30' by 3' wide, removed existing concrete walks along front yard and installed new concrete broom finish 85' by 4'wide, installed approx. 75' of 4" solid pipe for 2- down spouts out back run to front of yard exiting 15' from front walks.

 + -1 moreWe had a lot of construction work done over the past two year and our lawn on the side and back of the house was a mess from all the trucks that came in and out. There was some construction debris including rocks and concrete that needed to be removed as well. Scott, who I believe is the owner, was here about a week earlier to spray weed killer. When the crew arrived on the 11th, he was here directing the operation. They removed the construction debris, graded the lawn, put down topsoil, and seeded the lawn. They finished the job the next morning and covered the new seed with straw. We were directed to water daily. In a week we had a new lawn, except for a few places that somehow got missed. I called the company. They were here the next morning with more topsoil and seed to cover the spots that were missed. It's all good now.
Description of Work: Removed construction debris, graded the lawn, spread topsoil, and seeded the lawn.

From the estimate presentation of a folder of all of the licenses and past customers to call for references to the end result, Scott and his company were professional and totally customer oriented. The property in question had had a huge tree removed and the lawn was spotty at best. In addition, a 10 x 10 shed had been built mid- property. Scott came and spent a good 40 minutes taking measurements and assessing the job and gave us the written proposal that night. We used an Angie's list coupon and it brought the cost within $500 of a competitive bid. Best $500 spent! From showing when they said they would, to cleaning up afterwards it was top notch all the way through the process. We are already thinking about another job to call Scott in for!

 + 1 moreOwner Scott and his workers arrived on time and proceeded to dig into the window well and patio area. They were friendly and courteous. There was a fair amount of manual digging along with using the appropriate equipment. They had to remove the patio bricks and also remove the grass from the area where the drainage pipe would go. They did this with minimal mess. They replaced the bricks exactly as they were before. In fact, the brick area looks better than it did before the job started? They also replaced the grass area which had been removed. They even reseeded the grass area which we did not expect. They completed the job in a reasonable amount of time and thoroughly cleaned up the entire area. We are very impressed with the completion of this job and are glad we chose Cambridge Landscapes.
Description of Work: Installed drainage pipe inside window well with an extension pipe to the downspout. This connected to 50' of pipe to end of back yard. Installed clean stone in window well extending to patio. Removed are of patio to trench for pipe and re-installed brick.

All phone calls were promptly returned. Once contract was in place we were give an ETA. The location of the yard was not in the best location; however Scott and his team we able to get the job done. All workers were courteous and professional as well.
Description of Work: Removed old patio. Leveled and installed new patio and border. Removed all old bricks.

 + 4 moreScott Brown was helpful and professional throughout the project. He provided advice during the layout of the project and promptly returned calls when we needed to contact him. Wet weather caused some delays, but once started the project was completed in 5 days. The patio looks great and is a tremendous improvement. Soft areas of the lawn that were affected by the equipment were restored with topsoil which was graded, seeded and mulched with straw. Overall the project exceeded our expectations and we would recommend Cambridge Landscapes.
Description of Work: Cambridge removed an old concrete block 12' X 18' patio in back of the house and installed a 15' X 25' EP Henry patio with a 15' sitting wall. They also installed about 125' of French drain and about 50' of underground pipe to redirect water from two gutter downspouts.

 + 4 moreThe work took about a week longer to get scheduled due to adverse weather conditions but once started workers arrived on time each morning and continued each day until the job was done even with extreme hot weather the job was finished in a timely and professional manner. At the end of each day the work area was cleaned up before they left. Scott came on the first day to go over everything with the workers and with me and was in constant contact by cell phone to address any issues that came up. After the job was done I called with some questions, Scott got back to me promptly and my questions were addressed. We're very happy with the way the everything turned out and everyone who has seen the project thinks it looks great.
Description of Work: Took out an old small brick patio at the rear of the house and replaced it with a larger EP Henry patio in the same location. My husband had expressed an interest in keeping the bricks so the workers removed them and piled neatly behind our shed. They also created a walkway on the side of our house with tipple stone and stepping stones with a curbstone edge between a flower bed and the walkway. The stepping stones continued around the corner of the house to the patio and also to the shed. Scott Brown, the VP, was very helpful with the design of each part of the project.

 + 3 moreDue to rainy season there was some delay in the start but we are very happy with the results. Once the project started was done in few days and looks fabulaous. Would definitely recommend Cambridge.

 + -1 moreScott came out to my house in March to examine the property as well as to view the condition of my existing landscaping. From that initial visit he created a new design that he detailed in a drawing showing the new plants and bushes and upgrades that he recommended. He suggested to remove the overgrown bushes and then to redistribute some of the existing plants to other areas. With the tree removal the proper amount of sun would then also reach the beds which would also helpwith adding new flowering plants. His crew came out in earl May and within 4 days had complete the overhaul of my yard. They removed the trees, added over 25 new plants to my beds a and re-seeded the affected lawn areas. The transformation was amazing and now I have a low maintenance property that looks fantastic and will so for years. Scott always promptly returned my calls and did a great job throughout. I can definitely endorse their professionalism and their work.
Description of Work: My landscaping hadn't been updated for a number of years and the original bushes had grown larger then desired. There was also a lack of contrasting plant varieties and colors and thus there wasn't much differences from season to season. I also had trees that blocked sight lines and the sun and contributed to damage to my lawn.

Neighbors walking through the neighborhood always stop to admire and compliment both the work done in front and out new pondless water feature in the backyard which you can readily see from the sidewalk. We feel like we are truly living in our shangri-la oasis thanks to Scott and Cambridge. He is absolutely AWESOME and again, we would highly recommend him. Description of Work: We had always been unhappy with our front porch and walkway so decided to contact some landscaping/hardscaping companies to get estimates and ideas. In addition,it had always been a dream of having a water feature in our backyard to compliment the paver patio we had put in several years ago as our backyward has a slight slope and would be ideal for a waterfall type of pondless water feature. Scott was one of five other companies we interviewed. A couple were from Angie's List (which is where we found out about Cambridge) and the others were from other sources such as local home shows, etc. Scott came out promptly to go over our proposed project and also to give additional ideas. Scott was the last one to come by and before he had left, we pretty much knew we were going to go with him. He had a knowledge level that gave us a great deal of comfort in knowing we were in good hands. In addition, while laying out the entire project, there were a few slight obsticles that needed to be overcome to reach our desired outcome that Scott immediately came up with solutions for. In fact, during the project itself, the township threw a MAJOR monkey wrentch into our project. However, Scott immediately came up with an alternative that not only solved the issue, but in fact gave us an even better outcome that what we had originally planned. We are beyond thrilled with Scott, Cambridge, and the entire crew who were just wonderful to work with. His crew was very respectful of our home and neighbors and made every effort to minimuze any inconvenience while the work was being done. WE HIGHLY recommend Scott Brown and Cambridge--you will not be disappointed!!

 + -1 moreI was very happy with the service, they returned my phone call promptly, they came at the specified time for the estimate when they promised, and they did the work when promised. In addition, they came out for the estimate in the evening and did the work on a Saturday morning, so I did not need to take any time off from work to have this project completed. All the work was done nicely and professionally. Everyone was courteous and professional, and when they were done there was no mess left for me to clean up. The price was fair and most important they really listened to what I wanted and worked within those parameters. We were so please we are planning on having them return to do more work for us in the spring.
Description of Work: I had 2 beds with 2 large box hollies and several other plants which I wanted completely redesigned. They removed all the existing shrubs and plants, expanded the beds, changed the edges from straight into a more modern curve, planted new shrubs and plants and mulched both beds.

Description of Work: Scott the owner came and gave an estimate for doing my patio. I originally had a wooded deck . He explained with detail what he can do that the price was reasonable .He even gave me suggestion what I would be able to do . He went home a couple of days after he called me to see my thoughts or concerns . He even sumbit to me references pictures and cetifications he had . At this time I was going to hire him. He than explained to me that he was going on vacation. He left me his cell if I had any concers . The only complain is that while the men did a wonderful work just one day they didn't show up due to weather . I was discourage bc no one called me . Overall this company is great and I would hire them again .
