+ -1 moreThere is a big reason why you see no recent reviews of this company. Tim Pesce is a terrible person and a terrible business man. He took our money, claimed he ordered the custom cabinets for our job, and what he installed was garbage from his garage that he tried to pass off as Medallion custom cabinets. After a few weeks of stalling and questions, he finally admitted what he did, of course blamed someone else, and here we sit still with no kitchen after about 8 months. Do yourselves a favor and pick someone else. It's too late for us, but there are so many reputable companies in the area, why go with this sham of a man? We did finally get the cabinets, but the rest of the work is so bad, crooked closet doors, shelves are already peeling, even the door latches and handles are crooked. Terrible, terrible work. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Description of Work: We were so pleased with Beco's renovation of our kitchen in 2006 that we hired them again in 2011 to remodel 2 bathrooms , replace 21 interior doors with upgraded doors (including 5 special-order sliding doors with opaque glass @ $1200 per door), and install a half-dozen new ceiling fixtures. Tim Pesce was a wonderful designer; he took us to the tile shop, the door shop and the granite yard to select our choices, and advised me patiently as I obsessed over cupboard knobs and light fixtures. Dave, the master carpenter, solved every challenging problem (which included several rotting floor boards). The electriian was a technical whiz. The subcontractors (tile work, granite folks, plumber) needed some supervision, but they were the only workers who gave us pause. When our next-door neighbors saw the finished bathrooms, they were so impressed that they asked Beco to give them an estimate on a remodelling job at their house. This year, December 2012, we went back to Beco again for a smaller job: to remove two wall air conditioner units (relics from a previous owner before the house got central A/C) and to fill the wall spaces with custom-ordered inoperable windows (bulls-eye glass). They did the entire job in one and a half days, leaving the house tidy for holiday festivities.

+ -1 moreBeco did an excellent job from start to finish. The owner, Tim Pesce, personally handled design and selection of materials. Company has its own carpenter who stayed with the entire project. They use a skilful electrician and an excellent plumber. The team worked very well together. Office staff coordinated the project, including liaison with appliance vendor (Ferguson) and flooring company (Sherkness). Regular and dependable communication with the homeowner. The only significant delays were caused by tardiness on the part of the flooring company (Sherkness). Beco's price included cost of granite countertops, tumbled stone backsplash, stainless steel sink, bathroom fixtures. Homeowner purchased kitchen appliances separately (approx. $9100 from Ferguson). I plan to hire Beco again next year, to remodel two upstairs bathrooms.

+ -1 moreDesign assistance was very good. Very good product selection. Final result was excellent. Individual sub-contractors were very good. However, the promised project start date was off by more than three months. Completion date was also delayed by several months because of difficulty in getting materials from suppliers and problems with coordinating schedules of ceramic tile installer, electricians, plumbers, and carpenters. We were promised work would be finished before we moved into our newly purchased house, but the work did not start until after we moved in. As a result we were without a kitchen for two months and without our master bath for six months. It was a construction mess. I recommended them to a friend before my project started, and her experience was the same. Although there was a good end result, I would not recommend them because I felt the delays were generated by poor management. Also, communication between management, contractors, and homeowner was poor.
