Description of Work: Called Paladina Landscaping for the following job: * removal of hedges in front of property * removal of shrubs in front of house * building of 2 foot high stone wall to create a planting box in front of the house * purchase of dirt/plants/mulch to fill the new box area, as well as another small area * building of small retaining wall int he back yard, only a foot or two high and about 6 feet long * removal of shrubs from back yard * digging out of new flower bed on two full sides of back yard *dirt and mulch to fill new flower bed

Description of Work: Earlier today, I posted a negative review after several unsuccessful attempts to reach Matt from the company. I mentioned my frustration in my last message and said I was going to note it on Angie's List, which I did. However, I just got a call from Matt a short while ago. He left a message apologizing for not being responsive and said he's have someone named Marco be in touch with me today about scheduling an appointment to discuss design. He did note that he was extremely busy trying to cram a lot of work into a few remaining weeks left in the year when such work can be done. I did appreciate the attempt. I hope that I wlil hear from them. More to come!

Description of Work: I used Paladina Landscaping to do a fairly large project in my back yard. They removed and old sidewalk, which was no small task, replaced it with nice brick in one area, and in another area they put in a new brick sidewalk while filling in the old sidewalk area with dirt and planting grass. They also replaced several cement steps that were crumbling, and properly installed/leveled patio pavers that I just had lying on the grass. | |My first contact with them was at the Pittsburgh Home Show at the Convention Center. It wasn't until months later that I started getting estimates for the work I needed done. Their price was extremely fair. Because it's near impossible to get any machines into my backyard, everything had to be done the old fashioned way... hard work by hand. Because of this, many landscaping companies priced the job extremely high. Some were as much a three times higher than the quote I got from Paladina. After getting several estimates, I decided to go with them. | |Dealing with Marco was fantastic. He did a great job explaining everything that would be done. Super easy to deal with, and really went the extra mile for us when we needed it. Can't say enough about what a pleasure it was dealing with him. The same could be said of his crew. They showed up every morning and got right to work. Every day when I came home from work I was amazed by how much progress had been made. These guys were super hard workers, extremely professional, and didn't cut any corners. In fact, when they thought of something that might make the patio look better, like adding a brick border around it, they talked to Marco about it, he talked to me about it, and we did it. They didn't even charge us anything extra. | |They had to build up one end of the patio to make it level, and it ended up much higher than originally anticipated. They were supposed to grade out the dirt, and make it look nice, but it was clear that it was going to look like a patio on a big mound. We weren't really liking how it was turning out. When we talked to Marco about it, rather just saying, "Well, this is how you told us to do it," he listened to some ideas we had about putting some steps on the high end of it, and with a small price adjustment we made that change. There were no hassles at all. He was always willing to do whatever was necessary to make sure we were pleased with the finished product. Adding the steps made it turn out even better than we originally imagined it would look. | |Again, Paladina Landscaping did a fantastic job! Marco was great to deal with, and we could not be happier with the way our backyard turned out. I would definitely recommend them for any landscaping you are thinking of having done. I'll probably be calling them in the spring to do some work in my front yard, as well.

Description of Work: Installed an outdoor fireplace with a hardscape patio, landscaping w/tree, shrubs and beds. Patio lighting, including under sitting wall lights.

Description of Work: I just called 20 minutes ago , when I was introducing what kind of job I need to be done and where do I live they hung up on me , Very rude , I completely don't understand what are they doing .
