They provided a good estimate but it turned out the problem was coming from outside and we needed an external French drain.

Scheduling was easy and the technican was both professional and courteous.

My wife and I really like this company. The sales guys who came out to scope it out and provide the estimate was super-nice, very relaxed, and professional. And we also really liked the young guys on all the crews that worked on the job. They were all so polite and pleasant, and I felt totally comfortable having them in my home. And what counts most of all is that they did a really good job. They were both fast and meticulous, as unlikely as that may seem. They obviously cared very much about properly attending to details and it shows in the final result. The only small thing that they could improve was communication between crews. They had to do some switching in crew members (understandable because this was a small job spread across parts of several days) and sales guys and the crew leaders could have done a better job in explaining what was needed to be done at the various stages. But they all communicated so well with me that this really was not an issue at all. All in all, a very impressive job by a very reputable company.

They were easy to get ahold of and very professional. They did a great job on intalling a french drain and sump pump. They also installed sheeting on the wall and waterproofing tile.

I would like to make arrangements to keep this deal.

BQ came out and estimated my crawlspace issues. I thought the inspector Kyle was very professional and knew a lot. He brought up several issues and how we could fix them. He even broke it down on what I should do first because money was an issue. Everything is a fixed price so there is no haggle and no extra money spent once the job is started. Had some issues with getting emails in the beginning as some people stated in their reviews but it was instant responses once I got in contact with him. Unfortunately everything I wanted to get done was a bit above my price range. Spoke to Kyle about this and haven't heard back since. I would recommend this company From what I've seen in their pictures they do a good job and are reasonable prices in my opinion. Hopefully once I save a few more bucks I can have them come back out and do some work.

They sent 2 people out to do the job. They got the job done all in one day. They were quick and kept things clean while they did the job. I needed to do some follow up work and there was one thing they needed to correct and they were very good about following up with that.

Professional, courteous and dedicated to making me happy (not easy). They put down paper and plastic prior to doing work always making sure to disrupt my home office as little as possible. Work completed on time and done expertly. When I asked for them to come back and check something, they did and reworked something to ensure my satisfaction. Total Cost $11,000

BQ basements was really professional. Once making the appointment, they mailed me a book about "dry" basements and how to keep them that way, as well as some information about the gentleman who would be coming to my house (whose name I believe was David). David came to my house, measured everything and gave me the sales pitch of how BQ basement's proprietary system was better than the competition. I got a quote for both a french drain system, sump pump, and replacement of 3 feet of removed drywall with a water resistant wall with moulding. The price for the french drain and sump pump was $7,000 which was much more expensive than other contractors. With the wall replacement, it was an additional $4,000.

The job was done quickly and efficiently.

Kyle kept his rescheduled (his initiative) appointment on 13 June. We looked at and discussed the matter. He said he would email an estimate that evening. It is now the following Wednesday and I have neither email nor phone call from him. I tried to call the company just now and he is not in the company phone directory. The phone maze just goes to the voice mail of someone named Margaret. Doing what you say you will do is fundamental to doing business. Ordinarily, I do not bother to chase disappearing or no-show contractors, but BQ was recommended by another contractor who has done very well for us twice, so I tried again this morning with the result indicated above. If the sales rep disappears without having kept his word or explaiing why he couldn't , I don't want to know what would happen if BQ actually got money from me. BQ is out of consideration for this job.

I found working with BQ Basements very easy and efficient from first contact to the final installation. The two basement windows on the side of my house have always been very low and close to the grade of the garden. Over the years the grade has changed causing water to pool around the windows and eventually getting into the finished basement. Numerous landscapers never really resolved the issue so this winter I began exploring other options. BQ sent Gregg out for a looksee and free estimate. Other vendors wanted to install elaborate drainage systems and sump pumps. Gregg listened to my saga and recommended the window well system. This is the solution I was hoping for all along. Gregg wrote up an estimate and scheduling did not go ahead until all was in order. Due to the weather, installation was postponed once or twice which was fine since I wanted the best conditions for digging in the side garden during the brutal weather. We found a nice day in March and everything went exactly as explained to me. The installation team appeared promptly and completed the work easily with little disturbance to the garden. The windows have worked great during the last few rain storms.

BQ Basement provided us with a quote for waterproofing our basement. Our township requires a permit in order to perform this job. BQ Basement refused to pull the necessary permit from the township, but suggested that we can do it on their behalf. Indeed, we started the process on our own, and got the papers from the township. Had to go through two rounds of back and forth sending them the paperwork to fill. Twice they got it wrong (form didn?t have all the information, and they singed the wrong section despite specific instructions provided to them in a letter that was included with the package). Finally, we offered to meet them in city hall, do the paperwork real-time with them, and submit it to the township. Their response was that they have no time to meet us there, and recommended that we?ll find someone else for the job. We didn?t fill comfortable making a down payment until the township clears the permit. This was communicated to BQ Basement in the letter mentioned above. Can?t speak about their work quality, as we never got to that stage.

This is the second time I have used BQ Basements. The first was for basement windows. This time I had a sump pump installed. I have never had a lot of water in my basement but I am finishing it and bought a sump pump more for insurance. The crew was on time and finished in a few hours. Very professional. Highly recommend and will use them again.

We have used BQ multiple times and consider them our "Go To" company for any projects related to our basement, which takes on a considerable amount of water. Friendly, prompt and the pricing is great.

Great service from start to finish. They came out and gave me several options and an estimate of the cost. They were on time on the day of the install and cleaned up after they were finished. I inspected the work and it was very good. The installer told me about some options I had on installing a sump pump which I am considering having done by BQ. I would definitely use them again. Very good Experience from start to finish.

They still come out throughout the years to ensure that the sump pump is working and that the basement is staying dry. I had one issue the next winter with involving the pumping to the street, in the winter, but they came out in the spring and resolved the issue.
