Description of Work: Installation of a trench drain, sump pump, and humidifier. I did not stay in the basement as they were doing the work, too much noise and dust. I did notice after the job was complete that an area along the wall was not taped properly and still isn't. I called to see if I could use just any tape or it had to be special tape. Well, special it is and was told the next time a crew was in the area they would stop by and fix it. So, 7 months later it's still not taped properly. I will admit I did not call BQ Basements back regarding the tape or lack of. Just as a suggestion, maybe BQ Basement should send someone out to check on the jobs on occasion. But, our basement has been dry and that was our goal along with sometime in the future drywall.

Description of Work: Provider inspected the basement and explained that I did not need their services. I respected their honesty in explaining that the issue were were having was originating elsewhere and that we should address that problem to have the basement moisture issue resolved. They were right! They could have taken advantage but they did not. A++ for integrity.

Description of Work: They performed annual maintenance of the sump pump and dehumidifier. Everything was done well and explained to me in detail since I just purchased my home this year.

Description of Work: We contracted to attack the problem of water by installing a new french drain system in the crawl space and covering with the liner. The drainage system has worked without issue. There was some secondary work that needed to be redone, to ensure a truly waterproof environment, but they came back and did everything as needed.

Description of Work: While the estimate was fine for a french drain and turned around in a timely manner, they never scheduled the work, despite a couple calls, and I am awaiting a refund for the deposit.

Description of Work: The company removed paneling from two(outside)walls in the rec room. Used mold retardant, studded out walls and installed Zenwall panels. There should be a + or - with the ratings. I would give them a B+ overall.

Description of Work: BQ Basement Systems provided an estimate for basement waterproofing on June 18, 2014. John Colbridge represented BQ Basement Systems. He was a very pleasant and professional gentleman. He toured our basement and provided a detailed explanation of the services BQ would provide. The pricing suggested for the work was very competitive. | |As our basement is very damp, Mr. Colbridge suggested a product called CleanSpace that would provide a moisture barrier. It is made of polyethylene and would cover the walls of the basement. My mother (the homeowner) did not like the idea of the CleanSpace covering the walls of the basement ('too plasticky looking'). Later, when this was mentioned as one of the reasons why we did not go with BQ, Mr. Colbridge then suggested there were other options. The other options were not presented at the time of the interview/estimate. | |Since we went with another company, we would most likely not use BQ in the future since we were provided with a lifetime-of-the-structure guarantee from those who did the work. However, I would not hesitate to suggest BQ Basement Systems to anyone looking for basement waterproofing.

Description of Work: I had a triple pump system installed and approximately 150 feet of discharge piping installed. The system has worked as designed since it was initially installed. After hurricane Irene past through, we were without electricity for 3-days. The battery backup did it job. I have subsequently installed a second battery backup for added protection in power outages. I have BQBasement's services the system yearly providing another layer of security.

If all contracters were this professional the world would be a better place. 3 perfect gentlemen were just here to install a sump pump and dehumidifier, they left my basement cleaner than when they found it. The manager who was here first told me exactly what would happen and how much it would cost,,,,,,and was right on the money!!!! will use again and again!

Description of Work: I did get a quote from BQ Basement Systems. Their rep was a pro, listened to my concerns, then evaluated my crawlspace problems, gave me a thorough brief on the items he would recommend, and later emailed me a full quote with all the work details. There was never any pressure to buy. I have not had the work done yet, because I still want to get at least two more quotes, which I haven’t had time to arrange.

Description of Work: Our basement had been moldy and smelly and prone to water seeping in during heavy rains. I sprung for the waterproofing, really being somewhat skeptical. I also purchased the dehumidifier. The work was done rapidly and relatively cleanly, and my wife and I often remark it was the best money ever spent. The basement is dry as a bone despite some horrific weather outside, no odors, nothing gets damaged or moldy. It is a pleasure.
