Groundworks

It went very well. The person who did the estimate was very professional and he sold me on their patented system. It was a much less invasive project then having a traditional French drain installed. They were actually able to work around my downstairs shower so that I did not have to take it out. The workers showed up on time, around 7am, and were very professional throughout the process. They laid down matting to protect my floors for the numerous trips up and down with the concrete and jackhammers etc... They were done in 8 hours and there was little to clean up after.

I received estimates from 3 different companies but B Q Basement's explanation of the problem and the way they would fix it made the most sense to me. They also had a very good price for the fix. All the work was done in about 2 1/2 hours.

We called them to see what services they offer. They came out and sold us on their system. They got everything done in two days, which is pretty impressive. They went above and beyond. It was a very good experience.

It turns out that because we are below grade, we have a build up of condensation in the walls. He could have told us we needed a whole basement system. While BQ does not do the work that we need we would happily use them in the future if we have a problem. Greg was a wonderful trouble shooter, honest and professional. He was punctual and answered all our questions, even though he was not going to do the work. To have met someone to take the time to explain our problem, who was not going to make any money on us was so refreshing and impressive. If you have water issues call Greg. You will be very happy that you did.

Smooth from beginning to end. Found the company on Angie's List, liked what I read about its services, reviewed the website and called for an estimate. Greg, the company's representative, appeared when he said he would, gave me an estimate and a timetable for performing the work. The work was started on the scheduled date and completed that day. The crew cleaned up after themselves. The wall liners made a big difference as did the floor matting in our basement. Both are designed to prevent mold, another reason I chose the B.Q. Basement Systems.

It was GREAT! They were informative and extremely efficient. They did exactly what they said they'd do and they did it quickly: it was a lot of work and they were totally done in two days. All of the staff were professional and courteous. Best yet, the system really works. Our basement has stayed dry through all kinds of weather.

The company was great, from beginning to end. Sales rep was helpful and no pressure. Company sends lots of material so you can read up on all aspects of the system (and waterproofing in general). They definitely want you to understand what it's all about. Workers arrived exactly on schedule and completed entire job in two days. There was minimal mess, although the jackhammering noise at times is intense, so you might want little kids or very skittish pets to be elsewhere. The workers were polite and considerate, taking care not to let the dog out of the yard or the cat out of the house as they came in and out. Work done in November and I waited until early spring to file this report. Previously, every heavy rain brought terror about what would happen in the basement. So far, the system is working perfectly and I have a dry basement--what a relief! Only remaining issue are cracks that BQ is returning to seal so dampness doesn't seep in. Highly recommend them!

Fabulous! We were very impressed with everyone we came in contact with from the very beginning to the end. Getting an estimate was very easy. They sent lots of information ahead of time so we'd understand the topic some. That was very helpful. They also sent information on the person coming to do the estimate so we'd know whom to expect and understand his qualifications. The salesman communicated very effectively with the crew so that they knew exactly what to do (including moving heavy bookshelves out of the way for us). The salesman and the crew were all very prompt, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. We were very impressed with how well they kept the dust confined to the basement and how well they cleaned up afterward. The job even took 1/2 day less than they expected.

Excellent. They covered everything in my basement, installed the system, and completely cleaned up. They also found that one of my downspouts outside led to a blocked pipe. They had a special device that they used to flush out the pipe, and installed a 'bubbler' pot. They did not charge me for this.

They were great! We had two other companies come out for estimates, but BQ's was the best. The salesman was great, there was no high pressure. The other companies that came out wanted to also do the waterproofing for the basement, but BQ came up with something more creative. They came up with the idea to put a long drain along the side of the driveway to connect to the sump pump. The work became more involved than they originally thought, and they wanted to charge me more for the work. I informed them that this should have been included in their estimate of costs, which they agreed with, and ended up paying for the cost of the extra work.

Gregg was great. He even gave us product names that he has used in his basement to protect our walls. The installation went very well and the installer was professional,knowledgeable,and friendly. We noticed a difference in our basement within 24 hours.

Basement waterproofing isn't a happy situation. Greg Marron (salesman) didn't oversell or try scare tactics; he explained their system and reviewed the costs in detail. The next day I called back and asked for some clarifications. With answers to MY satisfaction, I told him to schedule the installation. Dianna called and arranged everything, from questions, concerns and adding services to their contract, she was a pleasure to deal with. Upon installation day, I was greeted by Steve (Foreman) who walked me through the basement and discussed everything that was in the contract. He introduced me to his crew of 3 others. He answered all of my questions and they were off! Finished on schedule, if not quicker! My survey states price, quality and responsiveness with a B-reasons: Price the system is Pricey, not their fault, just fact. Quality hasn't been long enough to tell yet. Responsiveness it took 6 weeks to schedule our installation throughout that time they answered questions.

They were great! It was actually a bomb shelter and it was an unusual situation. They had to change their strategy. It turned out pretty well. I also liked the fact that it was a set price for everything and we can have certain jobs done at a later time.

They were very professional and did a great job of cleaning up before they left.
