I was not there when they did the work, but the guy whom I saw seemed like a nice fellow. He did the job and the pump works fine now. I do not have any complaints. He saw my basement and tried to sell me much more services and he left an estimate for some pretty expensive work, but apart from that he seemed like an honest and decent guy. He did a good job. He had cleaned the place after finishing the work. He came on time. He did the work timely. His price was excellent. He was courteous when he came to my house. I have young female employees and no body complained about him anything. He was nice to me for the few minutes I spoke to him. I would use their service in the future too.

BQ BASEMENT SYSTEMS INC was very professional. they came when they were supposed to and kept the work space very clean. the price was fair for the work they did. they explained everything that they did to me. they were very good and i would use them again in the future.

They came on scheduled time, kept everything clean, respectful and professional. Did a great job. The follow up on a couple of details was also done quickly and efficiently.

I was very pleased with this company. I was able to negotiate a price with them and use the Angie's List coupon. The project was completed in one day. I used to worry about the slightest bit of rain causing my basement to flood. This spring has brought a lot of rain and my basement is bone dry! Its been one of my best investments!

They are pretty good. They came out, sat down, and chatted with me. They gave the details about how they do the work and at what time they will come. They did what they said and they got the job done pretty quick. They were here for 2 days and they were senior citizens. I would recommend them.

From the time of first contact to through to the follow-up service a year later, they have been great. During installation they were able to accommodate work being done by another contractor and were professional and prompt the entire time.

flooded basement due to failure of sump pump, a small builder-grade one that clogged due to too much silt than came thru foundation footer drains and was not properly placed on blocks by builder. Instead of investigating this cause and offering a reasonable solution, this company told me the flood indicated a failure of the entire water management system and needed to be replaced with a $20,000 job that also required the removal of all our dry wall/studs in the finished basement and an additional $30,000 to replace those. (the restoration company had already removed a foot of drywall along the floor to remove wet insulation and performed mold remediation) After multiple opinions (and better investigation) we spent $1500 total with another contractor upgrading our sump pump, adding a back-up and cleaning out the drains. And no need to remove the remaining dry wall. The repair for the minimal drywall removed cost $2500 and our finished basement is back to normal after $4,000, saving us $46,000 over what BQ's proposal would have cost.

A couple of weeks before the actual work, we were visited by on of the company's employees who walked with me through the basement, explained what was going to be done, answered all my questions, and delivered an itemized, written estimate. During the job, for three days, the foreman explained what was going on, how he was going to do things, showed me what was done at the end of the day, very patiently and clearly answered any questions I had. I was treated very courteous and, most important, very friendly. Clean job, depite the unavoidable dust that was created in the basement - but they prevented any of that dust coming up into the house. Have had a lot of rain since, but the basement is bone-dry - no more puddles! After already two days, the nasty "basement smell" was reduced significantly. Also, the critters seem to be gone - good riddance! Received warranties in the mail 1 month after job was done. and received a mailing that they will call me when annual service is due. In short, overall this was a great job and I wish I had called them much earlier!

They did a good job. Their overall presentation was competent and relatively customer friendly.

They quoted about $10000 for the job and it was an extremely hard sell. They were horrible. A guy from the company came out and forced my husband to watch a video. My husband is no pushover. He came back the next night and he asked us 4 times as to what we wanted to remove from the basement. It was terrible and I don?t know how they have got good responses online. They sent me a packet when I made the appointment. It was fine since I was expecting them to send me stuff about their company. There was also a whole sheet about the guy who was coming out along with his hobbies. It was ridiculous. It was insane and it was the hardest sell that I ever got. However, we had a fantastic experience with the company that we did go with. I would not use the services of B.Q. Basement Systems again.

I called many places, amazing thing is that not many companies replace the window wells unless you do it yourself, not an easy job. BD Basements, responded promptly to our call and came out to see that problem. They explained in detail and with brochures what the process was and how much the cost would be. we had a little delay in coordinating with their office the time to come and do the work and rain for 2 weeks didn't help, finally at 7:15 am that morning as they had said they arrived and within a few hours everything was done. They look great, made sure that the dirt was packed in around the wells. We have had 2 more major rain storms and not a drop of water has come into the basement and the dirt around the wells did not wash away or cave in as I had feared.

I did not use BQ Basement Systems Inc. They gave a low estimate but I was not confident with their system to use them. I did not like their approach. It would have worked probably but there might have been some leaks to be repaired. The person from BQ Basement Systems Inc came on time and there was no pressure from him. My further questions were answered and they were fine when I told them that I will not be hiring them.

First of all, the crew covered all of our belongings with thin plastic. They didn't tape it down or even completely cover around the bottom. After jackhammering the floors, my entire basement was covered in a thick layer of dust. The prep was suboptimal! I have had to clean every item from my basement. I'm lucky I didn't have anything upholstered down there or it would be ruined. In the finished area of the basement the crew had to cut away the bottom plate (2 x 4s that support the studs) all the way around the room because it was rotted. They were not careful and ended up cutting some of the stud bottoms at weird angles. When my husband went to replace the plate later on it was a big hassle to trim the studs flat so that he could install a new 2 x 4 underneath. They didn't seem to care since they weren't the ones having to fix it later. The system itself was installed very well and we know it works because it's rained since then. We are happy with the final product but the work that was created for us during installating is very frustrating! I would use them again because I feel that they do know how to install the systems correctly and also they do yearly maintenance on them. I wouldn't want a second company doing follow up on their work. UPDATE: FIRST HEAVY RAIN THE SYSTEM FAILED!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

This is a great company. They were very prompt, clean, and responsive. They addressed all questions and concerns and were willing to work around a busy office schedule. I would recommend them without reservation! Now let's see how dry my basement stays with the next downpour!! I am confident.....

Contacted three contractors. One was much more expensive and one did not respond to two requests to provide a quotation after their salesman came out to the house to evaluate the job. Therefore selected BQ based on their quotation and rating in Angie's List. BQ proved to be very professional in all aspects of the job, from visit to estimate the job through completion of the work. Work was done when scheduled, quickly and cleanly. They did a good job of protecting the carpet and cleaning up the work area when they finished.

They were available pretty much when we called them. That was nice because sometimes it takes the contractors a while to get us on their schedules. The job went very well and was done in a very timely fashion. They came back to check the concrete to make sure that it was curing correctly. They were very professional overall.

The basement needs a bit more work. I have been very happy with them and will go through them for future work.

They are great. I would call them any time.

Overall excellent job. Initial estimate was prompt and thorough. We waited about 9 months until scheduling the job, but once we contacted them they came right out and held the original price. Workers showed up promptly the morning of the job, covered every surface with kraft paper and plastic to protect floor and carpets. The foreman explained all the details of the job and had me check the progress a few times to explain all of the details. At the conclusion of the job the foreman again walked me through the work that was done. Everything was cleaned up thoroughly and I was highly satisfied with the result. I researched a lot of waterproofing companies and I feel BQ is definitely first rate. They may not be the least expensive out there, but getting the job done correctly is much more valuable than saving a few bucks.

It has been wonderful. They are very professional and quick to come out if I need them. When they come out to service the pump they also flush water through the French Drain to make sure it is working. Each visit they also check the purifier and humidifier. I would recommend them to others.

Terrific experience. The team of two were here for an hour and a half, tops. Not only did they drape plastic over the stuff in my basement to keep dust away, they also put up sheeting hanging down from the ceiling around the perimeter of the job! Great cleanup, I hardly knew they were there before or after.

We had a good experience with them. They did the work in one day.

Everything was average. We were expecting a good price and we just got somewhere in the middle.

Phone contact was great and we set up an appointment for the early evening. Columba showed up, took measurements, and recommended a full perimeter system. I asked a bunch of questions, and he took the time to answer all of them. When the work was scheduled, the crew was punctual, CLEAN, and extremely hard-working. They finished my installation in less time than they estimated, and everything works perfectly.

Their price was high and I chose not to use them.
