I had the triple safe system installed a little over a year ago. My basement has been bone dry since installation. The battery back-up handled every power outage, including the 2 day odyssey we endured from the recent ice storm. I am about to have my basement finished, so I asked BQ if they would check system and correct damage to wall barrier (clean space) caused by bilco egress installation performed by another company. No extra charge, no surprises, no hassles. The service tech, Mike M, did an outstanding job. The BQ team made sure he had all of the necessary material and he arrived on-time and listened attentively to all of my requests. He took the time to explain everything and completed every task assigned with the utmost professionalism. I am a very satisfied customer. Highly recommend!

Very professional, a little pricey but we believe you get what you pay for

The customer service to set up the appointment to get a quote was great. very professional. they are a little over the top.... I was also sent a large book about basement refinishing and a personal bio about the estimator. nice but I could have saved some trees and lived without them. My estimator Greg, came highly referred. he is clearly been doing this for a long time. but he was very nonchalant with me and the situation. He said we can do this or that but always was saying that it is not going to be perfect...some of the coating may flake off after. I at this point I was not very confident that I would have a good outcome if they performed the work. He gave me a whole list of things options to do to solve problems that I didn't have or need. Like installing a sump pump when I wasn't having any water issues. He came out on a Friday and said he would have a quote to my email by Monday. Monday came and I checked my box all day and no quote. I emailed by appointment setting contact and no answer. I couldn't find Greg's email the website to email him about it. so by the end of day before leaving work, I called and reached Greg and asked him about my quote. he said he would send it that night. Less than 20 minuets later I had a quote sent to me. It was pretty high compared to the others and loaded with tons of other options. My price listed here was for the cheapest wall service and for patching the floors. Either way there was no way I was going to go with a company who made disclaimers about their finished product in the quote process. And no way I would use a company I have to track down to get my quote that was promised.

The work was carried out quickly and professionally, and within days, the humidity level of the basement fell to comfortable and healthy levels. The first heavy rainstorms demonstrated that the system worked. The basement remained dry as guaranteed. The humidity sensor on the dehumidifier failed within a week, but it was replaced in a service call that was arranged within two days of my call. The staff was courteous and responsive, and they demonstrated a clear sense of respect for our property. I would not hesitate to work with this firm again.

Bought a coupon for sump pump then asked for a refund. Refund was given. Nothing else happened.

We had a previous estimate from this company about a year before from another representative but deferred the project . We we called back he was no longer with the company and John Colbridge came out and revisited the plan. He agreed that the previous plan was best and we began the project. He honored the price of the previous estimate which was nice since it was 12-18 months later. They were prompt, neat and courteous. They left the basement clean and neat. So far the system has performed well after a number of heavy rains and the quality of the air has improved dramatically. We are very happy with the system and the experience and can recommend them without reservation.

The initial sales person was very professional and knowledgable. However, after the initial deposit was made I was informed after having to contact them after a few weeks that the units were on "back order". My initial visit was the September 16th at which time I was told it would take approx 3-5 days for an installation date - installation occurred on November 11th. Nevertheless, the installation workers were timely, clean and quick.

They were very responsive. The timing just wasn’t right and that is why we decided to not go with them at this time. We are still considering to maybe use them.

From the sales person to the workers everything was easy, smooth and as promised. The workers even brought their own power source as our electric was out due to the storm.

the price was steep, but the workman were prompt, clean, and did a good job. the dehumidifier was a few days late but I was compensated for it.

While I did not use this company, I would absolutely consider them for future work. The rep who met with me was Dennis. He was very prompt and courteous and his communication was excellent. He was completely available at any time to answer any questions that I had and even sent me literature outlining their process via both email and mail. All the while, he was never high pressure or pushy. Also, unlike some other companies I reviewed, BQ Basements did not try to sell me on more than I needed. They approached my basement issue conservatively and recommended doing less than I initially anticipated to see if that solved the problem. Overall, I was very happy with what I saw. It was a tough call between BQ Basements and the company I wound up selecting. The only reason I chose to go with a different company, was that I felt the other company had a better product for my particular situation. BQ's System is a good one, just not the right one for my situation. For any future basement work, I would definitely call them in for a proposal.

From beginning to end it was a great experience. Dennis went over everything thoroughly,the windows were ordered and I received a callback when the windows arrived and an installation date. Steve and his assistant arrived promptly, prepared the area with drop cloths and did a beautiful job. When the installation was complete Steve and his assistant went over each step that was taken - asked if we had any questions. Steve and his assistant were very courteous and left our house as they found it. GREAT JOB!!!!

I had an appointment for a Friday afternoon at 2 pm. I told the secretary, Margaret, that I was working until 1:30 but just a few miles away, and that I'd be home before 2. She said that was perfect, and Jodi, the contractor who lived near us would make us his last stop of the day and 2 pm was perfect. As planned, I pulled into my driveway sometime between 1:40 and 1:45, went into my house and waited. At 2:30 I figured they were just late, especially since the weather was pretty terrible, and started to go about the rest of my day. I lost track of time doing chores, and at 3:30 I finally called the BQ office. The first secretary that I spoke with said that he had already been there, and I said that's not possible, I've been here since 1:45 and haven't heard a word. She transferred me to Margaret, who was very nice, but also said that our contractor had been to our house, waited 15 minutes past our appointment time, and then left. When I said that I was home 15 minutes before our appointment and he hasn't been here, she didn't have an explanation. I was also wondering why no one had called me if the contractor in fact came to an empty house at the appointment time. She said that she was having some computer issues and ended our conversation, and said she would call back in a few minutes to work out another appointment. She did not call back that day. I understand that on a Friday afternoon in bad weather a contractor would be looking for an excuse to go home early, but I don't appreciate the fact that the contractor was blaming me. They knew about my work schedule, had all of my contact information, and I was at my house before my appointment time. The funny thing was while I was on hold with the secretary, their hold message was, "tired of making appointments with contractors that don't show up, come late, or leave your house a mess? Not with us!" Margaret, who seems to be the main office secretary is very nice and helpful, and she did wind up calling me the week after for a follow up. But after getting over my initial anger at being stood up by a contractor, I'm hesitant to use them in the future. Follow up: A week or so after this review was posted, Margaret from the BQ office contacted me with an apology, both in email and over the phone. She also extended a complimentary maintenance call for our basement sump pump, which we accepted. I am very impressed at Margaret's efforts to make this situation better, and hopefully we can go forward and continue our service relationship with BQ.

I decided to go another route.

The price was high and I decided not to go with this company.

Greg gave us a pretty thorough examination and description of the work to be completed during the estimate stage. He seemed very knowledgeable and put us at ease. He responded to our many emails and questions/concerns. On the first and second day of installation, Reese and the other two workers arrived promptly. He did a walk-through of the job and they went to work. We had to amend the original plan slightly once the back walls were removed. A vapor guard was installed against walls rather than just replacing the bottom portion of the sheetrock since there was great deal of moisture in that area. We were agreeable to this change & there was no difference to the original estimate :)) Everything was cleaned at the end of the job. Reese also discussed operation of the pump and gave us information to provide to an electrician.

I had telephoned BQ Basement sometime ago and met with Jake Snyder; he was very professional and certainly sounded as if he was very familiar with the work done by the company (I mention this because that is not always the case). I decided not to do the job at the time and several months later I contacted the company and was told that Jake was not longer with them. I spoke and met with Dennis Viall, he is very knowledgeable and very professional. We made some changes to the work order. I was advised that the job would take 1-1 1/2 days and they would begin on 8/19/13. Reese was the foreman on the job and he was terrific. His crew began working on 8/19 and finished around noon on 8/20/13, as promised. They did a great job, the humidity and dampness are out of the basement. They left everything very clean and were very pleasant to have around. If you are going to use this company, I highly recommend them and would recommend that you speak with Dennis and request Reese as your foremen. I will be moving shortly and would definitely use BQ Basement again. I would and have recommended them to friends and neighbors. If there was a negative it was in obtaining the transferrable warranty papers that I needed for prospective buyers. I had to make three phone calls before the paperwork in a BQ Basement folder were sent to me. An email warranty is not the same as having official papers from the company. Other than the above the experience I had with this company was very good. They are very honest and completed the job in the time promised.

With record rain, we had a flood issue in one of our bedrooms. I contacted BQ to set up an appointment. They immediately sent very detailed information in the mail as to company background and their processes. Additionally, kudos to their appointment representative who was very thorough, extremely pleasant and very concerned. Prior to their visit, I found that a new wall I had created in my garden was the source of the water invasion. When I called to cancel the appointment, I was again impressed by their responsiveness and courtesy. I would definitely contact them again should I ever have an issue.

Tom came on time to provide the estimate for the work to be competed and provided us with a few choices of different systems to be installed. He showed us a video on his computer of how the system works and left brochures to assist us in our decision. He measured the entire basement area and provided detailed explanation of how his company could help with our water leaking problem. We live in a high water table area. He said it would take approximately 1-1/2 days to complete. Once we agreed to the system we chose, we talked with Margaret on the phone and scheduled the work to be done and paid for the deposit. Two workers, Dwight and Nick arrived on the scheduled date right on time. They were very polite and answered any questions before they began working. They put down protective covering over the kitchen floor and hall rugs since that was the only egress from the basement. They covered our washer and dryer in plastic. The rest of the basement was empty. They offered me some ear plugs due to the loud noise of the jackhammers. Once they realized that the basement floor was 8" thick, they determined they needed bigger hammers and/or more help. Two other guys came and the four of them worked through the day and got all the digging completed. They installed the drainage system then filled around it with stone. Buckets and buckets of stone had to be carried down the stairs. Dwight was very polite and provided me with updates on the project every couple of hours. On the second day, Dwight and Nick arrived on time again, and continued with the work of carrying 20-25 buckets of cement from their truck to our basement to seal the perimeter. They also installed their vent outside and Dwight showed me how it was done and how it works. It was a beautiful installation. Very professionally done. Once the job was done, Dwight described again what work was accomplished, how it works, and what maintenance will be needed. They cleaned up the whole basement and removed all debris and trash. and floor coverings. I highly recommend this company for any basement system deeded. The office staff, and workers are very professional and accommodating.

I was told I would receive the estimate the next day but I ended up calling them about 2 days after because I still had not received the estimate. Once I spoke with them they did promptly email me the estimate. The prices on the estimate seemed a bit high. The employee I worked with on the estimate seemed to be professional and they have informed me that will work with us on the price if we decide to go with them.

They were quick in turning the estimate around to us. They seemed to have fair pricing.

They were very punctual and the professionalism was outstanding. They were clean and neat and the team they sent out was professional and polite and they knew what they were doing. The original person they sent out was also excellent. Everyone I dealt was wonderful.

Overall they did a very good job. They were on-time and cleaned up well after themselves.

We recently purchased a townhouse and had some concerns about condensation we saw on the floor after pulling up carpet. Dennis relieved our fears that the basement was not unusually damp and educated us on the reasons why as well as options to waterproof the floor. We plan to have a battery back up added to our sub-pump as well as have them to waterproof the floor before additional flooring is installed. Dennis was professional and friendly. We will using BQ for all of our service needs.

Put in 3 smart jacks to support the 1st floor joists and installed 4 star bolts through the exterior brickwork to prevent any further movement. They also provide a 20 year warranty for the work. The warranty follows the house, not the person. Therefore when the house is sold, the new owner will receive the 20 year warranty.
