Groundworks

There are a few takeaways that I'd like to share with everyone. First the scope of the project. It was 8ft x 10ft concrete slab that was slanted 3 inches on one side. 1. The wait time to get a visit for estimate is in weeks. Could be a deal breaker for someone who needs work done urgently. 2. 17 days after initial visit, i got the appointment, on the day of the appointment they cancelled on me. I didn't care about it but I can see someone getting upset about this. 3. 19 days after initial visit, a guy came. Of course he was running late. lol and his equipment broke -- took him a little over an hour to fix the nozzle and get it running. Actual job took over an hour. At the end -- I'm happy with the work. Finally -- the cost ! unfortunately, it was double the average cost that was shown on homeadvisor website. The guy who did the job said this is the bare minimum they charge for any project. So I guess the estimate on homeadvisor is way off if this is the bare minimum. Over all -- I would recommend their service and at the same time, i'd also suggest getting at least a couple of more estimates.

There was a mix up with the scheduling and we had to change the date 3 times.

very friendly and courteous. The representative was up front and friendly. I really appreciate the fact that they sent out information on the crawl space, and a picture of the representative coming to my home. We have had a lot of work done to our home by contractors, and they were the most professional contractor we have ever dealt with.

The 6 week wait seemed long but I guess it reflects how busy they were. The installers were prompt and very courteous explaining step by step what they were doing. We are very pleased with the results.

We had a very neglected basement with cracks needing repair and a wall which needed reinforcement. With the completed drainage system, new pump and dehumidifier the moisture is gone! What a difference! ! The staff began on time and cleaned up all debris along with sweeping the area. We were very satisfied with this company's services . The foreman Steve Bancroft with Nick Morales, and Nick Quinn completed all that was proposed . We would highly recommend BQ Basement Systems.

The BQ guys were on time, and finished up in far less time than I anticipated! They were polite, professional, and explained everything as they went along (for those things I didn't witness firsthand). They were great, and I am very happy knowing these guys are part of an international company, with lifelong warranties!

So far the experience has been great. They still need to do the install, but if its anything like the service so far, I will be satisfied.

Quality comes at a premium with this company. I was not happy with the price I had to pay, but thought I couldn't do any better. They were the only company willing to do only what I asked and not try to up-sell me anything extra. Two leaking cracks in the poured concrete basement walls got filled with epoxy through the full thickness of the wall, then covered with their foam strip which was then coated with a rubbery substance. They also jack hammered about one square foot of floor down to the gravel under each crack, placed their plastic channel against the wall, and poured new concrete. It cost about $1,200. They kept the place clean.

I was extremely pleased w/BQ. They were clean, and organized.

Honest and trustworthy company. They did not try and sell me on anything that was unnecessary.
