We met them at Pittsburgh Home show in March. As of August 1st still do not have final quote after 3 meetings. Casey just advised us that they got in a big project for over $500,000 and our kitchen project (cost estimated at $19,000) could not be guaranteed for installation by Christmas, nine months after our initial contact.

They started in November and completed in January. They did everything. They were fantastic.

After several calls and emails Pittsburgh's Best never responded with an estimate.

This was my first-ever renovation and I was anxious about the process, but from the first meeting until the very end of the project, Casey and Jim were available to provide advice and keep the project on track. The whole Pgh Best team was professional, very responsive to my questions/concerns and worked very hard to make sure I was 100% satisfied with the finished project. I would happily recommend them to others as trustworthy, communicative, very experienced and great partners for whatever home project you're considering!

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Pittsburgh’s Best Remodeling for several months on a major home remodel of our Squirrel Hill home (built in 1921). We completely remodeled the kitchen, master bath and Jack and Jill bathroom on the 2nd floor. I’ve said many times that we’ve worked with a fantastic contractor when I’ve shared PBR’s contact information or details on our remodel with friends and colleagues. As one co-worker pointed out, “fantastic” and “contractor” are two words generally not used in the same sentence. We interviewed 3 different contractors, all coming in around the same price point. I had used PBR in the past for small jobs and, after interviewing them again, we felt confident that they could take on the substantial remodel challenge. We were not disappointed. The entire team has been completely professional and excellent to work with throughout the entire process. Their dedication to complete customer satisfaction and attention to detail has been evident from start to finish. Not only are they professionals and excellent at their craft, they are truly a joy to work with every day. I would absolutely recommend Casey and his staff for any job and am confident that they will excel in every way.

We worked with Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling on our recent laundry room renovation. They did an outstanding job! We went from a builder-grade laundry room with nothing more than a sink, washer and dryer, to a much more usable space with tons of storage. Casey and his team at Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling were able to take our needs and wants for the laundry room and translate it into an efficient and beautiful space. The design process was smooth and we appreciated receiving feedback from the team to consider other aspects of the design that we hadn't originally thought of. For example, taking into account the environment of the laundry room and what materials would be best suited for use. All of the high-quality cabinets we selected were custom made and sized perfectly to fit the space. The install went wonderfully. We were so impressed with the level of care and attention to detail. While installing the custom-fit, stone countertops, they didn't even ding the walls! The team was so friendly, courteous, and communicated every step of the way. They arrived on time when they said they would. They also worked on our job continuously, day to day, until complete. In our experience, that is not always the case. Casey was a pleasure to work with and kept us on track. He personally oversaw the project , communicated in a timely manner, and followed up after project completion to ensure that we were 100% satisfied. We are! Our laundry room is a home run.

I am delighted with all of projects completed by Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling. Communication was great - I had a project manager liaison as primary contact (Jim) and Casey kept an eye on the progress as well. The people who did the work at my house were courteous, professional, highly skilled and trustworthy. Without reservation, I recommend Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling and I am sure I will be asking them to do additional projects for me in the future. Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling was great to work with. They were on-time and on-budget, staying on our job until it was completed. The on-site team was very professional and easy to communicate with, which was particularly important to us because we had a very specific vision for the space that they worked to accommodate. If there were constraints, they provided explanations and, in a few cases, provided opinions (e.g., paint colors) that helped improve the final design. They also were willing to add on work as the job progressed, by request. The drywall and paint job in particular were beautiful. Overall, it was a great experience and we are so happy with our new, much more usable space!

Had a complete kitchen remodel done, and couldn't have asked for a better company to work with! From start to finish, Casey and his crew were professional, kept in communication with us along every step of the way so we knew what to expect, showed up on time and stayed on schedule. We were very happy with their work and love our new kitchen! We will definitely use them again for our next remodeling project.

PBR did an fantastic job on our basement. They took the time up front to understand what we wanted, and put together a professional bid and scope package that was very competitive vs. three others. The workmanship was high quality. Steve, the foreman on the job, was great to work with, and the whole crew was professional and friendly. They cleaned up after every work day and sent pictures in to track their progress. They missed schedule by a couple weeks due to delays in cabinetry (they have since corrected this vendor issue), but everything under their control was done expertly on time. I would highly recommend PBR for your remodeling needs.

I was delighted with the results! A previous contractor had made a mess on a new addition and I didn't know what to do. Not only did Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling come up with creative solutions to the blunders made my previous contractor, but the result was beautiful! I was so pleased and grateful, and wish that I had hired them in the first place. Steve is my favorite handyman, but they are all excellent and very courteous. Not only do they fix things, they pay attention to aesthetics. They are now my go-to company for remodeling, and when something in my house drives me nuts (like a crooked step), I can count on them to find a way to make things better. Straight A+s except for "responsiveness," which I rated B (still very good) only because the call to schedule the work took a while, but once the date was settled, everything was absolutely prompt, professional, and excellent.

The service went very well. I am very happy with how my deck looks - it looks new! I had a graduation party for my son and many of my guests commented on how great the deck looked and commented that they did an excellent job. They were also able to complete the work within a short time-frame and work around other service providers that were installing a deck awning on the same day. The guys that did the work were very knowledgeable, professional and respectful. I'm also considering Pittsburgh Best Remodeling for interior work that I need.

From the time our call was returned, the experience was very positive. The fees were explained and a date was set. Steve arrived promptly in the morning and again went over pricing, so we knew what to expect. He explained clearly what needed to be done. He was courteous, neat and friendly. He was very efficient and we are very pleased with the completed work. Steve then cleaned up everything and took away the rotted wood. He even corrected an existing frame problem on the inside of our garage that we were unaware of. Good job Steve!! From beginning to end all involved made the process "painless."

Casey and his team are extremely punctual and diligent. The work quality is excellent. They gutted and remodeled the kitchen. They pay attention to detail and work on correcting any issues or miscommunications. They gutted and remodeled the master bath. The tile work in the house is particularly well done. The additional bathroom was also very well done. They have been in the business for sometime and understand permitting issues. They came recommended from a colleague. They did a terrific job with that remodel as well. I am very pleased with the outcomes and highly recommend them.

I was extremely pleased with all aspects of the work. It is hard to believe that such a job could actually have been a pleasant experience, but Casey and his team managed to make it seemingly painless. Hard wood flooring needed to be matched, plaster walls needed to be resurfaced, a wall which may or may not have been a "weight bearing wall" had to be supported, electrical work surrounding knob and tube.... and the list went on.... All workers associated with Pgh's Best were professional and skilled. The area was always left immaculate at the end of the day. Workers were respectful and considerate of my time and my home. Though there were multiple unexpected changes that had to be made, Casey managed to assure these changes were addressed quickly and efficiently with minimal if any delay in the overall job timeline. There was some confusion over the final billing, which was also resolved to my satisfaction. I would use Pgh's Best again in a heartbeat. Great Job!

Casey the owner came out to review my project. He was very professional and explained how he operates very well. I especially liked that his workers are employees, not contractors. He sent me the estimate for the job sooner than he anticipated. I am still waiting for several other providers to provide estimates in order to make a final decision. I selected Pgh's Best Remodeling to do the bathroom installation not only due to best price. After calling Casey with some potential challenges, he sent one of his project managers to my home to review and discuss. After revising the estimate, he included that the project manager would accompany me to the store of my choice to ensure I was selecting fixtures that would fit the space. This was definitely above and beyond what other contractors promised to do. The bathroom turned out great. The project manager, Paul, was wonderful to work with; he answered questions fully and willingly made a couple of changes I wanted after the work started. The painter, Patrick, paid attention to detail and especially did a great job patching large ceiling holes that the electricians had to make. The electricians were contractors but Casey has done a great job with selecting a company that takes as much pride in their work as he does. The installation of the exhaust fan was more complicated than anticipated but they handled it wonderfully. I was so pleased with the electricians that I had them do a couple of extra things for me. Overall, I now have a beautiful spare bathroom for overnight guests to utilize. Everyone that saw the before and after has commented on the great job that has been done converting the space.

The work was amazing! The deck had peeling paint and large divots but after the work, the deck looked new again. The work space was left clean. Their price was much less than quotes from other contractors.

Did a good job repainting the exterior of an old home. Estimate was fair and was in line with other estimates which were received. Was able to quickly start the job, which was in contrast to the other estimates (which had weeks or months before they could start). Made appropriate and thoughtful recommendations.

The owner was very helpful and bent over backwards to work with us in our short time line. Workers efficient and professional, and did great work. They also worked all day with only reasonable breaks. On day 2 I actually felt so comfortable I left my home while they worked- which I rarely do. Very happy we chose them!

We could not ask for a better experience. We are new home buyers and were looking for a company to wash, seal, and paint the cedar wood on our house. We had three estimates from 3 companies and Casey, the owner of Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling, had the most reasonable price, using Benjamin Moore pain, which from what I hear is very good, high quality paint. Additionally Casey was very good at following up and seemed most interested in the job. Casey was very patient with answering all our questions. He explained the process of what would be done to the house and how spray paint coverage worked. We were uneasy about the color stated in the contract so he mailed several paint options in the mail, giving us a much bigger selection to choose from. Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling does both spray paint and brushed paint. The employees decided the brushed paint was a better option for our house. The paint division in the company is relatively new, however, all employees have more than 10 years of experience. My interactions were positive as well. I noticed an area that was not power washed and they made sure that it was completed their second trip out. They were very determined to get the job done in a timely manner without sacrificing quality.In addition to painting, Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling does kitchen and bath remodels, handyman services, doors, windows, flooring, decks, roofing, plumbing, electrical, fencing, and any home improvement projects you can think of. We will be sure to use them again when we are ready for our next home improvement project.

I recently purchased an older home that had some questionable paint work done by the previous owner. I found Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling at the Pittsburgh Home Show and asked Patrick for an estimate. He came out to my home, had a look at the situation, and made suggestions for work to be done and an estimate for that work. When Patrick came back to do the work, he went above and beyond what I expected, paying great attention to detail and going beyond what I had asked for to clean up the mess the previous owner left. The work he did made me glad that I hired a professional like Pittsburgh's Best to take care of this. Patrick reattached several areas of detached plaster and cleaned up damage left by the previous owner. He cleaned up the lines in my kitchen and my foyer, and took care of color matching and painting in two upstairs rooms for us. He respected my home and left everything immaculate when he was done. The job Patrick did was fantastic, and when we have the rest of the house done we will be calling Pittsburgh's Best,.

PBR returned my initial phone call within an hour, discussed what I needed done and scheduled a date at my convenience. They sent the three different people necessary to do the work (carpenter, electrician, & roofer). The carpenter showed up at EXACTLY the day and time scheduled, was amazingly nice and knowledgeable about the work. He inspected what I needed done and gave me a realistic time frame and price for the work. Both he and the electrician were organized and efficient and competent. Several items were needed that I didn't have and they gave me a list so I could run to get them to save me the extra cost of having them go to the store. The electrician worked for about 6 solid hours then returned on Saturday morning to finish the work. Everything was completed to my satisfaction. The carpenter worked about 10 solid hours and returned two days the following week while I was at work. When I returned home at the end of each day, it was obvious he had accomplished a lot and it was all done to my satisfaction. The owner of the company called several times to check on the progress and ensure my satisfaction as well. This company is not cheap as they charge by the hour, but they return calls promptly, coordinate the various people you need for the work, show up when they say and do what you ask in a reasonable time period. If you are tired of handymen not returning phone calls, not coming as scheduled, and generally giving you the run around- pay the extra money and get your work done stress-free. Totally worth the price!
