Paul Steimer Roofing

Description of Work: I had purchsed the $39 Deal for Paul Steimer to do a roof inspection and complete up to $100 in repairs if needed. After an inspection of my attic they proceeded to go on my roof and inspect it. When they were finished they showed me some photos of some minor repairs they performed. I had some exposed rusty nails and several small puncture holes that they filled – luckily nothing major. I felt it went very well. They were nice to deal with and acted professionally when completing the work. I would definitely consider them if I ever had roof work that needed to be done.

Description of Work: Bought a deal for a roof inspection including $100 credit for repairs. Took weeks to schedule. Day of appointment, contractor didn't show until 7 pm. He looked at the roof in the front of the house (not back or garage) for about 5 minutes. Didn't use the $100 credit. Would've been better off with a free evaluation from someone who cared about earning my future business.

Description of Work: My wife and I have been getting estimates for a new roof, soffit & fascia etc. Because of the slope of our roof, we eventually decided to go with a metal roof vs. shingles, so we did not end up contracting with Mr. Steimer as he does not do this type of roof. However, I wanted to document my experience in meeting and talking with him, as I think it would be helpful to other potential customers. First off, Mr. Steimer spent about a half hour with my wife on the phone talking with her, answering her questions, and explaining things in detail. Although he was aware that we were still undecided on what type of roof we were going to use, he offered to come out to our house, and check out the roof. When he came out, he spent a good deal of time with me talking about different roofing issues, insurance companies and how they handle claims etc. He spent some time on the roof checking it out, and offered to come back and even meet with our insurance company if needed. Unlike alot of the other companies we've been dealing with, he was not pushy (or acting like an obnoxious used car salesman) at all, in fact, the exact opposite. From what I've read here on Angie's list, and heard from word of mouth, his company does excellent work, and if we had decided to go with a shingled roof, I would have been completely comfortable in hiring Mr. Steimer to do the work. So, although this is not a review of the man's work, I think it says something about him as a person and a professional.
