when we accepted the quote, they told us it would be "several weeks" until they could do the work. We told them that short notice was fine. They called on a Tuesday, several weeks later, and asked if they could start the next day. There was a crew of five, and the work was completed in 2 days. They cleaned all the debris. We would call them for any future roofing needs.

Excellent, we were very happy and may use them again for another service.

We had a great experience and Paul was very competent, helpful and professional. I'll plan to cal him again.

With the heavy winds during the week of 16 Nov, a gutter downspout was blown partially off the second story connection of our row house on the Southside. It was a safety hazard. I attempted to contact six different roofing/handyman/companies. Mr. Steimer was one of two that responded. I was concerned that the job was too small for a roofing company. Mr. Steimer arranged for his crew to repair the downspout within a week. His crew leader contacted me a hour ahead of time to notify that they were on their way, and contacted me to confirm that the repairs were complete. I appreciated their professionalism and timeliness. Mr. Steimer mailed the invoice to me. They also take credit cards. I have no hesitation in recommending them. For my next roofing requirement (either home or rental properties), I plan to contact Mr. Steimer first!

He hasn?t done work for me, but I would definitely hire him in the future. He spent more than half an hour of his time explaining this to me over the phone, without charging me. I thought that was extremely kind of him, and I would definitely hire him in the future. He was direct and honest and very kind. Everything about him was A+. He recommended a home inspector as the person I would actually need, instead of trying to sell me his services, and I value that honesty.

Unlike 90% of roofers in Pittsburgh, Paul Steimer's contractors showed up within a day of me calling, showed up on time, didn't try to sell me a new roof, and quickly patched up both the source of the leak and other potential future leaks in a timely manner. Very prompt and professional.

On 7/7/2015 Mr. Steimer stopped by without calling to present a proposal to replace the front part of my roof - up to and including the cap at the peak and flashing around the chimney. He replaced the 26' cap over the ridge and installed a vent. All "plumbing pipe flanges" were to be replaced with new flanges. A drip edge was to be supplied and installed along all roof edges. He was to install ice and snow guard shingle underlay at all gutter edges and around the chimney and other terms per the contract. He was also supposed to seal the area around the dormer. I agreed to pay him $4400.00. We agreed that his crew would put their tarp at the side of my house to catch the debris from the roof. He said his roofers would do my roof at the end of July. His crew arrived without calling on 8/13/2015 to start the work. They left cigarette butts about the property; ruined approximately $200 in shrubs and plants by putting their heavy equipment on top of the plants. They also put their tarp on top of valuable plants. Their work was sloppy - the shingles do not lie flat; the silicon sealing tape they used for edging - about 3 inches wide - is already peeling from the underside of the roof. They did not seal around the dormer. On 8/14/2015 I sent 4 emails to steimerroofing@aol.com with pictures of the damage and asking for remediation. On 8/16 and 8/17 I sent additional photos showing items not done properly. On 8/18 we had a heavy rain and two new leaks appeared on the third floor just under the 26' cap on the ridge and around the chimney. I sent pictures to steimerroofing@aol.com of the new leaks. On 8/15/2015 I sent payment in full with a written list of complaints about the work. On 8/19 Mr. Steimer came out to try to fix the new leaks and nail down the shingles which had not been secured properly. Rain fell on 8/30 - and the area under the cap is still leaking, damaging the plaster on the third floor. Second major rainfall on 9/11 since roof was replaced: 3 new leaks on the third floor and 1 new leak on the second floor. I am now going to have to pay another contractor to fix the leaks they created.

We were extremely pleased with Paul and his approach. We felt he was totally trustworthy. He was prompt, said what he was going to do and did it when he said he was going to. The price was very reasonable and was exactly as quoted. The crew, headed up by Brad was great! Very quality oriented and professional. I couldn't have asked for more. If you need a new roof, Mr. Steimer is the man!

Perfectly! They are busy, but they called us a few days before the work, confirmed the day before, and then the morning of. When they finished, they called to give me a report, and the work they did looks great! We are thrilled!

The only problem was it took quite some time to get on the schedule. I spoke with Paul several times and each time he said his crew would get back to me to schedule something. After a few weeks of no contact, he called again, and this time I got a call at roughly the promised time and the crew came out. The two-man crew was polite and efficient. I bought the deal to tackle and 'easy' fixes related to my leaking gutters and siding. I was happy with the work they did, but I hoped to get a quote for the bigger stuff. They said they'd get back to me with one, but I never heard back. The work was fine but I probably wouldn't use again due to the scheduling headaches.

They were quick but it looked like they did not clean one of the corners.

Two people came, looked at the job, made some measurements, decided what materials (downspouts) were needed, and went off to get them. They returned promptly, and installed the new downspout. The new downspout, while not exactly the same color as the old one (a perfect match was no longer available), is a good color match to the gutter. A bit of non-standard work was required, to align the downspout fitting in the gutter with a buried drain pipe into which the downspout feeds. All the parts are well fastened together. The new downspout should do the job and last. A good job well done. The "B" for Responsiveness is for less-than-complete communication. We had been promised that workers would come on 7/6 or 7/7, and that they would call before coming. No one came on either of the promised days--which is understandable because they were rainy and this was a "dry day" job--but no one called to tell us they were not coming and/or to re-schedule. I placed a follow-up call on 7/9. It was not answered, but two workers arrived on the morning of 7/10 (without calling ahead) and did the job, as described above.

It was really good. They called me right when they said they would like any original booking. They came the next day and did everything I needed them to do. They took a look at the skylight naturally. I probably will use them in the future. I have some work. They have to replace a section of the gutter that is kind of busted on the downspout. I'll probably go to them to fix that.

I couldn't be happier. The roof on our bay window is metal and it leaked in the heavy rains we had last weekend. I submitted a request to Paul and he answered on Sunday night! He had two men at our house at mid-day on Monday, and they completed the work shortly after that. I'm just thrilled. Great guys, very professional and helpful. Darryl helped me understand more about the gutters and the construction of the bay window roofs and helped me understand how to better maintain them. :-D

took off 3-4 layers of very old roofing ,put on new roof. rebricked and mortered 2 chimneys. rebuilt several areas of rotted old box gutter, put on new soffit and facsia and all new gutters! This company was apparently overwhelmed with the response to the Angie's deal, but when we finally caught each other's calls, Dwayne showed up within the hour, ready for work. He is precise, experienced, and professional. We are very happy with their work and ethic.

We haven't had a significant rainfall yet to determine the success of the seals.

We were very pleased with the service and recommendations we received. We'd be happy to use this provider again.

Although we did not go through with the work due to a scheduling problem, the contractor made several attempts to call and rectify the situation even offering to do a project at no charge. As per numerous phone messages Mr. Steiner explained that the response to his coupon offer was a bit overwhelming receiving more calls for service than he had anticipated. Being a contractor myself, this is completely understandable. At the very least this vendor made several attempts to reach me in order to provide me with a fair and professional resolution and tthat is a very admirable contractor trait.

I have contacted the provider many times and he has been unresponsive. I do not think this provider should even be on the list due to his lack of consideration for others and their time.

Everything went well; Paul was very nice and professional. He made some suggestions as to type of siding, and recommended that siding be done vertically. It looks beautiful. Workers Scott and Bernie were very diligent; explained the process and cleaned the gutter fronts after siding was completed. I am very satisfied and will consider Paul Steimer when the roof needs done.
