Very well, quick and complete.

I called and emailed this company at least 7 times over the course of 6 months about a new roof installation, leaving detailed messages about getting an estimate or consultation. My calls were never returned. The company did email me that a reprsentative would contact me and they never did. I also stated in my messages that nobody contacted me. They never responded. I don't know how they get any business at all as they do not respond to customer inquiries. Maybe my job wasn't big enough for them. I have since found another company to install my roof. So they lost potential business. I would never even consider them again.

It went very well. It took them about 2 weeks to complete the job. They finished the job completely. When they left each night they totally protected the roof incase of rain. The guys were very professional. What impressed me the most is they worked long hours to make sure the job got completed in short time. Overall they were gentlemanly and very accessable. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I was really pleased with their services. Mr. Al was very professional and very prompt with getting back to me on price quote. They conducted themselves very. Overall there was never any problems and they always answered the questions I had.

Overall I was very impressed. Their estimate was the lowest and when we had a lot of roof lumber that had to be replaced it only added 150 dollars to our estimate. The men doing the job were fantastic, I work from home and was here the entire time. They were fast and efficient in their work. I NEVER once looked out to see them loafing or wasting time. And the clean up was amazing, they did such a good job.Paul's estimate was the lowest bid we had and he was so nice and pleasant about it all. it's so nice to have a local company that can do such wonderful work. We will telling friends about them.

Mr. Steimer came and did his free estimate for us. I compared his price and product with two other companies. I hired him. The gentlemen that came were friendly and did a wonderful job.

They were terrific. They were out of there by 3 o'clock and we couldn't tell that they were even there because they had cleaned everything up so well. We had noticed they had broke a light, which we didn't find to be a big deal so we went out and bought another one. When Paul came back out a few days later to check up on the work, he came out and gave me another one. He stated he always checks with his guys and if there was any issues then he will cover it. I think they were great and recommend them highly!

I was surprised to see that they never called us back.

To start with they showed up early which greatly impressed me and then they worked diligently to do an extremely professional job. They didn't cut corners and put plenty of skilled workers to complete the job before bad weather set in. They went the extra mile and did a fantastic clean-up at the end of the job so that the only evidence they were there was a new roof. I highly recommend this company.

I worked with Tim from the first call until the job was completed. He is very knowledgeable about roofs and even more so about working with insurance companies since he worked as an insurance adjuster at one time. He was very good to work with, showed up for the appointments we scheduled, and always answered his phone or called back promptly, even in the evenings. Because of his insurance background, he was able to get significantly more from State Farm for some inside ceiling damage I had, which he wasn't even contracted for to repair. The crew arrived at 8:00 am and worked hard all day, only stopping briefly for lunch. They did a very nice job, cleaned up after themselves, and were courteous to talk to. I was very pleased with their work. They did several extra things that they didn't have to. Many of the other contractors I talked to before selecting Steimer were not as knowledgeable. Many in this area don't even call back because of the crush of work there has been due to the storm. The guys in the crew were not local - many people tell you not to work with "storm-chasers", but I would recommend these guys to anybody and put their work up against anybody's.

Prior to hiring a contractor, I read several articles on "How to Hire a Contractor". I also spent time visiting the various manufacturers website to gain some knowledge of the steps involved to correctly install the various products. Then I visited this website and the BBB before choosing. After interviewing several contractors, I choose "Paul Steimer Roofing". Mr. Steimer contacted me to set up a start date. He said he had a crew for the soffit and facia work that could start. I agreed on the date. Work did start on the agreed date. A two-man crew started the job. On the third and last day, another man was added. That part of the job took three days. The results were satisfactory although I checked on the progress periodically and pointed out items I thought did not look right. They corrected them when I pointed them out. I believe had I not said something, those items would have not been corrected. Mr. Steimer showed up once during this phase of the job to drop off materials. The roof work was started shortly after. They stripped three quarters of the roof and reshingled it on the first day. They installed two bathroom roof vents. They also replaced the vent pipe flashing. The chimney flashing was replaced. What a disaster. I complained and it was corrected to my satisfaction. However, it should never have come to that. The rest of the roof was completed a couple of days later after the rains stopped. Mr. Steimer showed up once during the roof installation mainly to deliver materials. The grounds were cleaned up and left in satisfactory condition. On a positive note, Mr. Steimer was easy to work with and was available via his cell phone. During the interview, he explained each phase of the job, the materials to be used and the price for that phase. He also discussed any comments or suggestions I made. If a suggestion I made could not be done, he explained why. His estimate and the final price was the same. On a negative note, I didn't like the appearance of the new roof. I asked if it had been installed correctly. Mr. Steimer assured me it was done correctly. When you look at pictures of the roof in the brochures, ours doesn't look the same. I don't mean the colors, I mean the texture/appearance. Mr. Steimer should be on site more often to watch his roof crew. I don't think their workmanship is anything to brag about. At the end of each day, the roof crew haphazardly threw their equipment in the back of a couple of unmarked white vans. A true craftsman would not man-handle his tools that way. In articles I've read about hiring contractors, it was pointed out that reputable contractors will have the company logo on all their work trucks. Finally, I truly believe if I hadn't been on site during the installation, the job would have turned out slipshod. I suggest Mr. Steimer spend more of his time on the jobs observing the performance on his crews, especially since it affects his reputation. I regret allowing the soffit and facia work to be done before the roof work. That was totally stupid on my part and should never had been suggested by Mr. Steimer. Although no damage was caused to the new facia and gutters, the new gutters caught much of the debris that came down when the old roof was removed as well as the grit from the new shingles that came down during the new roof installation. The gutters at the two roof valleys show signs of some clogging. Due to the weather, it is not possible at this time to clean them out. The two paragraphs above spell out why I would not recommend this contractor.

He returned my initial phone call a couple of days later and said that he couldn't make any plans at that time, said he was busy. I never heard from him since then. 10 calls later he has still never returned my phone call three weeks later. I wish there was something I could do to make him call me back. He lost the job because he never got back with me.

They never returned my call and they never even acknowledged that I called in the first place. I was very annoyed by this.

It turned out he was unable to do the indoor work I required, but he came out just like he said he would.

They came early the first day and were done early afternoon the next day The work that was performed was done in a timely manner. I would recommend this company to others and would likely get them again to do other work on my home.

I was happy with his work and I will use him again. He was punctual and practical.

Their machine to put shingles up broke and they were throwing shingles up on my roof, and it was banging my roof pretty hard. That was the only thing, but they seem to do good work. He actually did something for me that was out of scope and he didn't charge me for it. I seemed to like him and he had a good disposition. There was something that I didn't like about my gutter extension and he came out and repaired it. I was very happy with the reconciliation process. He has a 5 year warranty on his work. He is competitively priced. The work was a little slower than they said it would be. The one thing that I didn't like is that they left the attic a mess, but I didn't say anything to him because if I would've complained to him, I think he would've done something about it. His craftsmanship is outstanding and he did a good job. He was responsive, but he was slow in responding. When he said he would show up, he showed up. He was professional. I didn't trust the crew chief, but he did very good work. I had Steimer come and he walked the roof with me, and I pointed some things out and he immediately addressed them.

They were on time, very punctual. They worked hard and hardly ever took any breaks, they ate on the run because it was toward the end of the season. He promised he would get it done before the end of the season and he did. He was a good guy to work with and I highly recommend him.

The work seemed to be well done. They cleaned up after themselves very well, and nothing was left. They came on time, and it seemed professional.

Paul arrived on time, made suggestions, offered to pull off gutters for painters to get better access, then put new ones up. All work was done by two polite, professional men. Work was finished as promised and clean up done. Gutters look great.

His estimate was lower than the others. He also noticed that the roof was in a terrible condition while the other roofing company guy said that it would last another five years. He was excellent. The siding which we had put on the house was of an inferior quality. The company had discontinued it after two years. He told us about that and got the siding replaced. He even had some of the installations paid for. We went ahead with that and we got the voucher for the new siding and got money to pay for the installation too. He did a good job of the roof and I am satisfied with him. He charged as per the estimate and cleaned up the mess after the work.

They did a great job on the work. The bill was the same as the estimate. They showed up when they said and would always clean up before they left. I would recommend them to others.

The neighbors have told me the guys have been here around 7:30 or 8 every morning and are here all day. They said they hardly take breaks. They clean up after themselves every day. They have done a terrific job! They are very personable. We've never heard them cursing or listening to loud music. The price was not the cheapest, but middle of the road.
