It was fine. Honestly, I think the guy would have given me a free estimate anyway. I could have contacted him directly and saved some money. His service was fine and the vendor was good. He did the repair within the same week. I think the total cost was a little higher because of the repairs. Everything about the service was fine.

It was busy season so initially it took a few calls to get the project organized. The scope included fascia board installation, gutter installation, and slate roof repair. Gutters were purchased via Angie's List Big Deal. Mr Steimer provided a competitive estimate for the roof repair. Work was scheduled promptly. Work performed efficiently, professionally, no mess. Quality of work very good. Overall great experience. No problems 3 months out. Would definitely hire again.

Paul's 2-man crew showed up as promised around 8:00 am and promptly set up their working area in the back yard. After checking the area indoors where a leak on the second floor landing ceiling was discovered this past winter, they proceeded to the roof where they took photos of the affected area. They then explained what the problem was, and then gave us the option of either repairing the leak with caulking or replacing the valley itself, which would last significantly longer than simply caulking over the leak. We told them to replace the valley, which they promptly began. At one point they contacted Paul to request more materials; when Paul arrived he introduced himself and was very gracious and explained the entire procedure and also answered all questions and addressed all of our concerns. The job was completed late in the day, and both men cleaned up their work area. They wrote up the invoice, which included the cost per hour per man, plus materials used. The amount was calculated correctly based on prior information that Paul had discussed with us during the initial phone call. We then sent Paul a check to cover the total cost.

Since we were very pleased with the previous work performed by Paul's crew on 8/21/2014, we contacted him again to perform the current job request. His 3-man crew arrived at 9:30 am and promptly set up the work area in both the front and back yard. They completed the job at 4:30 pm, and cleaned up the work area. At this point we asked one of the crew if he would go into the attic to retrieve the aluminum pan that had been used to catch the water from the leak the previous winter (the leak had been repaired by Paul's crew back on 8/21/2014). He agreed, and cleaned the ladder and also removed his shoes before entering the house! As before, they wrote up the invoice, which included the cost per man per hour plus materials that accurately reflected the discussion we had with Paul during the phone call to set up the job. We then sent payment to Paul in the total amount.

He cleaned the gutters and installed gutter guards. They did the work all in one day, but it took forever to get them out here. I bought the deal in June and they didn't come out until September. He is a very nice person, but it takes forever for him to get in touch with you. I plan to hire them again to fix my roof here in future.

The rainy summer caused a delay in starting the project, but once it was started, it was completed in two days! The crew of about six worked well together. That service turned out excellent. Then he came out and put on a whole new roof on the back my home. He sent me pictures of the roof, before and after. He matched up my existing shingles. He was very nice and worked with me since I was in another state. He then sent me pictures of the finished roof and my brother even drove past to check it out as well. It worked out excellent and he even gave me some recommendations too.

They were on time, very professional and responsable.

The guy that came was good and thorough and knew what he was talking about, but the guy we spoke with on the phone seemed clueless. They got the job done in about 30 minutes to one hour. The scheduling was confusing and they never called us back to set up the appointment. They also gave us a quote for a new roof.

I bought the Angie's List big deal for a replace of 50 feet of gutters. I was able to schedule the work within 3 days and they were able to come out and do the work two days after I scheduled it. I was impressed with the responsiveness. They came out and talked me through what would be the best way to position the downspouts. They performed the work very quickly and the outcome looks great. I had a small issue with some siding that had popped off, I asked if they could just screw it back on. They screwed the siding back one which was great! One less thing on my list to do. Overall I was very impressed and very happy with their work.

I contacted Paul regarding getting an estimate for a new roof. He called me back within a day and said he would be out in the next couple days. He actually came out the very next day! Besides being very personable, he was also very thorough and provided a written estimate with what seemed to be a fair price. We have not schedule the work yet due to figuring out financing before scheduling, but he will be our first choice when we are set to go!

Very well. They came when they said they would and fixed roof efficiently. I tried several other roofers on Angie's list and either they were taking no new customers or did not show up at the appointed time. Steimer's service is very good.

I bought the $49.00 roof inspection coupon while traveling and panicked when I saw interior drywall damage when I arrived. I immediately called Paul Steimer Co to set up an appointment. Paul was gracious, professional and solved the mystery why I had drywall damage. Paul sent 2 roofers to repair the damage and though I wasn't home they called to announce their arrival and then called again to explain in detail the work they did. Perfect from start to finish!

From the beginning of my exchange with Paul (the owner) it was always professional and honest. I interviewed a few roofers and the reason I selected Steimer Roofing was because of the detailed quote I was given. Most other just wrote on a bid sheet the price. I was hesitant to accept that. He was quick with his bid and brought over shingle samples that same day I accepted the bid. When the work started it was about 15 guys the first day working. Everything he told me he would do , he did, no additional charges and the clean up was great. My neighbor commented that he saw one of the guys picking out debris from my front garden! He was even impressed.

There was a deal/ special for 49.00, I contacted Angie's List since the website would not allow me to purchase the special on a second property. Angie's List agreed to allow the special since it was for a separate property then the first time I used the special. Buy the time Angie's List got the problem corrected, the special expired. Angie's List CSR contacted the provider, the provider agreed to allow me to get the special price, even thou the price special expired. Some where along the line the communication broke down and it took a while to get the job started; since Angie's List CRS and the provider were so amazing working together, everyone gets a free pass on that one. The provider keep in touch before and after the job was completed, great job. Lastly and most importantly, the provider did not try get their foot in the door, and then sell me on a bunch of work that did not need to be done just to be greedy, which I very much appreciate.!!

Paul Steimer visited my property twice to look at the job. His 2-man crew called to let me know they were coming, and arrived when they said they would. They were very professional and took care to get the job done right. They were careful not to disturb shrubbery and cleaned up after the job. I was very pleased with the work and will use them again.

I needed a quick repair on a carport that was sinking in, he came in fixed my problem and did the gutters which were horrific without even being asked, referred him to a friend and got him over to give me an estimate on a completely different project at the new house.

Despite leaving numerous messages...each indicating the time sensitivity of the request....my calls were not returned over a 4 day period. Too busy? Too good to return a call that represented potential business? Will be finding a new roofer!

Aside from the empty can of roof cement left in my front yard, I'm happy with the service provided.

Contractor was very good about visiting around my busy schedule. Stopped by for a visual. Sent team to climb on roof and inspect. Found two small holes in the calking around my chimney flashing. Took before and after photos of they area they repaired. Did not charge me any additional costs other than the deal I purchased.

Excellent! The company was prompt and came out earlier in the week than expected. We didn't know the exact name of the shingles, so Paul went out of his way to find a match closest to what we have on there now - you can't even tell where the repair was! We have now had 2 major rainstorms and there is no evidence of water coming in. The workers were great. They cleaned up after themselves. They were polite, worked hard, and I would definitely use them again!

Mr Steimer contacted me on June 2nd and asked if I wanted the gutter done that week. I inquired about adding leaf protection and we agreed that was to be added to the job. He said the installation would be on the 4th. The gutter was delivered early afternoon on the 4th and I was told the installers would be an hour behind. Due to weather and conditions beyond their control the installers were not able to make it that day but they showed on the 5th to install the gutter. They were very professional, friendly and cleaned up after the job was completed. You could see the gutter was now leaning the correct way where before the water would spill over the end without the downspout. They did a great job and would definitely use them again if their service was needed.
