A++ I called Kathy his secretary who was lovely and set up the appointment. Jim came and gave us an estimate which was about half of the cost of another service I had come look at the job the week before. I was happy to have Jim and his team do the job. He called the night before they came. He showed up with his team and did a great job! They were professional, polite, efficient, and cleaned up my yard as well as my neighbors porch. Not to mention my son loved watching Jim up in the bucket cutting down the limbs of the birch. Pure entertainment for him. I was most concerned with the clean up being done well since in the past we had tree work and that service was not very tidy. We live in the city so we are close quarters with our neighbors and Jim and his team were very respectful of that and to my neighbor. I happily tipped them for their hard work and told them to go and have a nice lunch! They deserved it! We will use them for all of our future tree needs.

We called late on a Wednesday evening when a large tree on out property began to lean dangerously towards our house. Jim's secretary Kathy assured us that Jim would be out the next day to have a look and give us an estimate, and he did. We then phoned him directly that Thursday night, and Jim and his great crew who have been with him for years (Rob, Derek, and Greg) arrived Friday morning. Within two hours the tree was removed, adjacent ones trimmed, and everything was cleaned up - our roof, the entire front, side, and back yard, the street, our neighbor's side yard, our driveway...and the crew even put the mulch from the chipped up tree into barrels and toted them into the back garden for us. We always think we get more than what we paid for because of this attention to detail from start to finish. We have used Jungle Jim three times before this, once for a huge job involving the removal of ten 70'+ trees along our property line, and our experiences have always been remarkably superb with Jim and his crew. Jim is extraordinarily precise and professional, and the crew is respectful, quick, and hard working. They have always left our property in better shape than when they arrived, which is saying a lot, because we take good care of our house and garden. If you are looking for outstanding service, knowledge, and a remarkable display of talent from a well-run team, Jungle Jim is the best.

I was astounded. He did it all in about 6 hours. He cleaned up and had the stumps removed. I would highly recommend them. I've been telling me neighbors because they were so impressed with the yard. They cleaned up everything. I didn't expect them to clean up nearly as well as they did.

As usual, Jim and his crew did a great job at a reasonable price. I've used them in the past for other tree work as well. In this case, the pin oak in our front yard needed cleaned out. Jim's crew was efficient, did a great job on the tree, and left our yard spotless. They even raked up the leaves that had accumulated in my driveway over the winter.

This was a great experience. The crew was professional, hard-working, and friendly. The quality of the work was excellent. Jim was very responsive when we first contacted him and continued to be so through the completion of the job. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and would definitely use him again in the future.

The pricing was extremely reasonable.

We love them. We've used him for 6 years. His prices are great. He is courteous. His receptionist is great and gets back to us really quickly.

I contacted Jungle Jim's because they had done work for several neighbors. Set up an appointment, got an estimate on the spot. The price was about what we were hoping for, so I called a few days later to schedule. It took about 3 weeks for them to have availability. They showed up on time, with what seemed to me to be a caravan of big trucks. They brought a bucket truck, two dump trucks, a chipper, and who knows what else. They started setting up at about 7:45, and were done that very day. I was really impressed. They brought down 4 trees that were each at least 60' tall. The huge maple they took down was taller than the bucket truck at full extension. The crew was very efficient, they did what they were contracted to do, and it was for a good price. I would use them again.

They did a great job cleaning up, were very prompt and I would give them thumbs ups., I was really impressed that they were able to complete the project right after the holiday.

They were cheap and they got the tree down without much of a problem. A log did, inadvertently roll onto a neighbor's bush, but they did reimburse them for that.

Called Jungle Jim on a recommendation from my father in law. Called over a weekend, but they got back to me right away - within 24 hrs. Came out for an estimate while I was at work, and I scheduled the work immediately because the estimate was very reasonable. The damaged tree was large (60 ft or more) and the trunk split into 3 sub-trunks. One of the trunks was pretty much blown off by lightning, leaving about 30 ft of tree laying on top of my shed and into my yard. Jungle Jim came out, again while I was at work, and made the damaged hunk of tree disappear. They were able to remove the damaged part from the remaining part of the tree and save the tree in the process, for which we're grateful - it's the main shade tree for our back yard! Jim's secretary is very helpful - that's who you deal with when you call, and she got everything squared away quickly and efficiently. No problems using my Angie's List coupon, either!

They were efficient and very prompt. They were responsive and we have contracted them for the job. I will use them in future.

Although the young man showed up on time, on a Saturday, to give an estimate for some tree pruning, I was a bit surprised to see him show up in a fancy new Cadillac Escalade with fancy after-market wheels, and he had a big sparkling diamond earring too. Seems the profit margin is good in this trade. I'm not inclined to begrudge someone of their successes, but as a value conscious consumer, I'd like to know (or at least pretend) that the profit wasn't so great that the man I might hire was sporting about in a Cadillac.

The price was good. They were recommended to me by a friend at work. They were very thorough and clean, because it makes a big messed. We were very pleased with what they did.

Had to find out from his secretary he wasn't interested in the job. He was here on 7/24/10 and I had to call to find out why we had not received an estimate.

Jim and his crew of about 5 people worked hard and fast, but also very neat. They clearly had a plan for the work that was to be done and were complete within about three hours. I could not have asked for better service orexperience.

He came out and gave me an estimate right away and was out within a week to take care of the work. He remove the tree, removed the stump and hauled it away. I recommend him highly and in fact I'm hiring him to do more work on another tree for me later on.

I love them and they are great. I've used them twice. I would like to have them every year, but I don't have the money for that. The price was definitely reasonable. He had a crew of people and he was very professional. He knew every tree. He knew what he was doing and it only took about 15 minutes the second time he came. He angles everything. Depending on the job, he determines how many guys to bring. He cut everything done and they would grab it and mulch it up. It was a very quick process and they knew what they were doing.

Overall the service was great, and quality was excellent and price was very reasonable.

Jim and his crew are GREAT. They do professional, fast work and clean up everything they touched. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

With the heavy snows in Pittsburgh, Two large limbs pulled our electric line away from the house and blocked our driveway. We were informed that since we had electricity, it would be "a while" before the electric company could take care of the limbs. He said that we could call a qualified tree service if we wanted to. I have used Jungle Jim's at least three previous times and gave him a call on a Saturday afternoon/evening. He was at our house on that Monday, took care of the situation. As he will return after the snow melts, he said that we can pay him then. I was blown away. I'm sending him a thank you note with a check. This is service "above and beyond" - and during a state of emergency.

They worked out well. They gave me an estimate right away and they scheduled the work for within a week. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and there weren’t any problems. It felt like a lot of money but it was actually a lot cheaper than the other estimates that we got.

Jim was prompt to meet me to look at the trees that needed to be removed or trimmed. He provided me with a written estimate with 2 options on the day we met. Within a few days, I scheduled him to do the job. After learning that the large tree would be removed by the borough, Jim was no longer interested in performing the remainder of the small job.

It was wonderful. They cut the tree down quickly and trimmed up several neighboring trees at no extra charge (even though they were around wires). They had to come back the next day to pick up the wood because of mechanical problems with a truck, but that was great too because it gave me a chance to pick through the cut limbs for potential fuel for our fireplace. I was worried because their estimate was half what our top estimate for the work was, but this is definately one case where we didn't have to pay more for quality work. Our backyard looks completely different and the trees that were trimmed look a lot healthier.
