Description of Work: Jungle Jim took down a smallish tree in front of our house and ground down the stump. They were quick and cleaned up thoroughly. This is the third time I've used their services and always the most affordable option!

Description of Work: Cut down 1 huge Oak,l huge Maple and 2 tall Spruce trees. Also ground stumps for all 4 trees and cleaned and hauled away all debris! Everyone involved was courteous and answered all questions willingly and without hesitation. Arrived on time!

Description of Work: Called to get estimates based on excellent recommendation from friend. Called to schedule visit receptionist said that it could be that weekend but probably next. No one ever showed up. Found someone else to do the work.

Description of Work: The best experience I ever had with a contractor. I planned to have four enormous dead trees removed from the woods over a hill behind my back yard and to have a huge tree in the front yard trimmed. I called Kathi, explained my needs and added that there was absolutely no rush for service, which was just as well as there was a several week wait for an appointment with Jim. Kathi called to confirm a day or so before the appointment and Jim arrived on schedule. He asked if I wanted the cut-up trees to be left in the woods or to have the debris removed and I opted to leave the debris. When we moved to the front yard tree which I wanted to have trimmed, he immediately pointed out a long and wide vertical crack in the trunk that I had not noticed and I therefore asked to have the tree cut down, roots removed, and the debris hauled away. He gave me a written proposal for $1000 for all of the work. He said Kathi would call in a few days to schedule the service, but two days later I called her to say that I decided I preferred to have the debris from the woods trees removed as well, but had concerns that the heavy equipment would damage my 35-year-old Omni-Stone driveway. She said Jim would stop back to assess the driveway and she reported back, within several days, that the driveway would not experience any damage and that the additional work would bring the total cost to $1500. I agreed to the price and she said she would call me within several weeks to schedule the work, adding that I did not need to be present on the day of the work. Perfect! Or so I thought. Exactly one week later, during a night storm, a third of the front yard tree crashed down along that vertical crack line but remained attached to the trunk just above ground level. I called Kathi at 9:00 the next morning and explained that I wasn't concerned about the downed portion, but feared that the next round of severe storms we've been having would take out the remaining, much larger portion of the tree, which would land well into the street and onto a portion of my neighbor's lawn. She said Jim was working a distance from my house and had a booked schedule for several more weeks, but that she would discuss the situation with him during their routine lunch-time call and get back to me immediately thereafter. To my amazement, she called several hours later to say that Jim could be at my home the same afternoon to do all the scheduled work and that I need not be present if I had other plans. Jim and crew arrived around 1:00 and they were so unobtrusive that I was oblivious to the presence of six men and equipment in my yard until I heard the saws. They were in and out in two hours and removed some smaller dead trees in the woods that were only visible when the larger ones were removed--no extra charge. I observed from a distance and had the sense of watching a well-orchestrated ballet. Everyone was very respectful to me, my property and my neighbors and the clean-up was great. I chose to tip the entire crew accordingly. Professionals all.

Description of Work: Jim came out and cut my tree down very quickly. It took 4 times to get the roots removed. Each time a different story. The lady that answers the phone is rude and unprofessional. I asked for another estimate on another property she was very rude she got loud and angry with me because I was unable to mark the tree because I was heading out of town. I was very patient and calm with her. I told her it is a very small yard and you can't miss the trees, 3 times. She finally told me they have a lot of business and didn't need mine. Then she hung up on before I could say another word.

Description of Work: Kathy in their office had everything lined up and coordinated; yeah Kathy. |Workers arrived on time with excellent equipment and Jim is an expert climber which means he doesn't rely on just the bucket truck; but uses this tree climbing spikes to scale the tree for maximum control over cut branches and large limbs. One wrong drop and they could crush something or someone. They had a powerful chipper that appeared to take large 6" limbs and that expedited the work at hand. I was skeptical over having stumps ground as several tree stumps were quite large. Their Rayco stump grinder was a thing of beauty to this retired engineer as it traversed "X" and "Y" axis to grind the stumps into mere wood mulch. Kudos to Jim and his crew of technicians.

Description of Work: Removed two large dead trees. Ground one stump. They were incredibly efficient. My neighbors had similar services being done up the road and I heard them slowly sawing all day. JJ was in and out and were incredible to watch. Also half the price of several other quotes. Will definitely call them again.

Description of Work: Removed at least a dozen trees, all the old overgrown shrubs in front, on side and in back of house and back yard perimeter. Also, a solid row of hemlocks, separating the back yard from the house. He was so easy to work with and his prices are the best in the industry. He's a no baloney person and he and his crew did a very good job. They missed some of the roots from one of the trees and from some of the shrubs. I didn't realize until a few months later and he sent two guys out promptly. They took care of it and said to let them know if I find any more. I wold use them again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: I needed to have a large maple tree removed that was only about six feet from the side of my house and about ten feet from my neighbor's garage. I thought that the close quarters and lack of access for equipment would mean high cost, but I was surprised by the low price. They were quite busy so I had to wait a couple of days, but it was well worth the wait. they did a fine job and cleaned up all debris.

Description of Work: I had a large Silver Maple tree in my backyard over hanging a hill and threatening mine and my neighbors house. Jim and his crew did a wonderful job of taking the tree down and dropping every branch into my yard without disturbing the neighbors yard and property. They were fast, neat, and efficient. Jim and his crew were friendly and polite. They cleaned up after themselves and left the yard how they found it. I highly recommend them for any tree removal job.

Description of Work: They cut down one 100 ft. maple & grinded the stump. They also trimmed, pruned & cleaned out three 100 ft. trees. Jim and his crew did a great job, when one person climbed there were 2 on the ground cleaning up the limbs and loading the wood. If they had a question on if I wanted a branch cut down, they rang the doorbell and asked me.They cleaned up the yard as well. I would recommend them and I would definitely use them in the future.

Description of Work: I had been advised by my Township that a tree on my property was too far on the road. I called several company's from Angie's List and Jungle Jims was the 1st to reply, follow up and do the job. I was impressed at the quick estimate, and the price to remove the tree.The removal of the tree was done while I was at work and everything was cleaned up. I recommend Jungle Jims and will call on them again.
