Thy call the day before to give me a window of time that they will arrive and they are always prompt. If I have to go out I can leve the door unlocked for them. They bring their own supplies and really do a great job . I am rarely disappointed, but if donand quot;t like the way they do something I fill out a form and it never happens again.

Very unhappy. Team was to show up between 3 and five. I got a call that they needed to arrive two hours earlier, so changed my day around to meet them. They arrived and set immediately to work. Within the first hour they had knocked off a valance on a blind, breaking a tray that was underneath it. Within the second hour their vacuum broke and they needed to borrow mine to finish the job. We did a walkaround before they left and I pointed out a stain next to the refrigerator. The team and quot;managerand quot; told me it didn't come up; when I put some soft scrub on it immediately after they left it wiped right up. We later determined that they had only swept and not washed the entire first floor. As I went through the house after their departure, I noticed that every mirror which had been cleaned was smudged--and about half the mirrors hadn't been touched. The toilet seats hadn't been wiped. I ended up having to go through and reclean my house after paying $336 to have it and quot;cleanedand quot;. When I called to complain, the office staff told me they couldn't take my complaint until they got the inventory list to see what had been done. What part of and quot;My floors weren't washedand quot; can't be understood without an inventory list? An expensive mistake.

They are always prompt. There is no drama and they are always on time. They do what I ask but leave the things alone that I don't want them to do. They have a very flexible menu. They clean my home once a week but do a more thorough cleaning once a month. They are easy to work with. They have a team of 3-4 people and it takes them about 2 hours.

This was the second time that we hired Affordable Maids to clean our home. They had cleaned our home three weeks earlier. There was confusion on the price, whether a coupon could be used, etc. Spending $100 to clean a small area that was cleaned a few weeks ago is not a good value in my opinion. We will not be using this business in the future.

I have used Affordable Maids on a one-off basis for a few times now. They have been adequate, but they never quite convince me to hire them on a longer term. The adjective that comes to mind for describing Affordable Maids is and quot;corporate.and quot; When you set up an appointment, you know what you are getting. The company policy (e.g., for arrival, for payment, for what the cleaning team can be expected to do) is clearly communicated to the clients. The cleaning team is good about following their company policy -- no more, no less. The personnel of the cleaning team varies from visit to visit; some are more careful than others, and some are more professional than others. Overall, the cleaning quality has been at least adequate. They dust and vacuum and wipe down the hardwood floor by hand. They clean the microwave, the stove top, and the refrigerator. They clean off the scums in the shower and toilets. They have occasional small glitches like forgetting to dispose of the pile of debris they gathered, accidentally leaving out a nook in the cleaning, but nothing major. They are a little overpriced, I think. The average seems to be about $30/hour per cleaning person. Typically, they seem to send out a team of three, but sometimes only a team of two. It's not clear, though, that a team of three is necessarily more efficient. When my house is cleaned by three people, it ends up costing $60 more even though the level of cleanliness ends up being about the same. I believe they offer a fixed (and slightly cheaper) rate for their regular cleaning customers, but that price still seemed too high to me.

They're good. They arrive on time. They're good cleaners. They have no problem doing any top of job I want.

They are prompt, their price is reasonable, and they do a good job.

They come in a team so they are done quickly, they are not here all day. They call you the day before to let you know when they are coming and they are always reliable. The price varies.

It's been a while since I have used them. It was great the first time they came out. It was a long visit, but it was not so great the second time. I called to complain and they offered to come back out again. They refunded half of the price that I had paid for the second cleaning. I also had them come out a third time, and it was fine. They got the job done quickly. I was here when they were here. Since I had dogs I didn't want to leave the dogs with them. They left spots and things like that when they came out the third time. It was obvious that they didn't do a detail oriented job the second time also. The first time it was like the best cleaning job ever; even magazines were arranged. They left a good impression the first time, but it was not the same level after that. They even folded the paper towels and the toilet paper like they do in a hotel room, but they didn't do that anytime after the first time. It wasn't horrible, but they didn't do those little jobs. However, I probably would use them again.

I contacted Affordable Maids about a week ago via their website. It's been about a week... no return e-mail. No phone call.

This is our second time using Affordable maids for several months ( for a while we had an independent cleaner but she went back to school so in September we switched back to Affordable Maids. In our initial conversations and quote they indicated the average cost of a cleaning would be 135 for biweekly. Then when the bills started coming they were closer to 185. So we negotiated a set price with them of 148 per biweekly. At that point we started to see a deterioration in cleaning completeness. While 75% of the time the cleaning would be fine, occasionally we found that they had skipped a room entirely or left dustbunnies under a chair in the kitchen. They were never cleaning the backsplash behind the stove and other little things were just not meeting my standards. We went back to them and asked for a refund for those rooms and they said they would take it off our next cleaning but they didn't. When we didn't get the future discount we decided to discontinue their service.

I scheduled with Affordable Maids two days in advance of the service appointment. The two customer service reps I spoke with were Dory and Kathy, who were both very nice and managed to fit me in on short notice. They made the scheduling and prep process very easy. Their prices were expensive but they were the only ones I found on short notice. They charge per maid per hour, so I went with the minimum of 3 maids (they won't send fewer) for one hour. We have a very small house and three people can easily get the place done in that time, especially professionals. I left a key under the front mat and a list of rooms in priority order for cleaning. I was not here when they cleaned so I have no idea if they arrived on time. When I arrived home that afternoon I did a walk-through of my house and was not impressed. We were expecting houseguests the next day and while we appreciated not having to come home and clean for a few hours, the results were nothing better than what we could have done ourselves (frankly, our results are better when we take the same amount of time to clean with just two of us). I had expected to come home and really feel like my house had been exceptionally cleaned, especially based on the reviews I had seen on their website. When I had talked to Dory to schedule, she had raved about the maids' attention to detail and satisfied customers. I did not see the attention to detail in my experience. The kitchen, bedroom, office and living room looked fine, though a lot of the furniture seemed to have just been wiped down around the things like pictures and there was dust underneath/behind items. The bed was poorly made, it looked no better than someone had just pulled the covers up. We were most unhappy with the bathroom, which ironically was our room that was first priority. There was still dirt left on the bottom of our tub and the floor was not cleaned properly (the company claims that floors are done on hands and knees). My husband ended up scrubbing the tub again to get up the remaining dirt, and I took the Swiffer Sweeper to get up the dirt and dust that was left in the corners and along the bottom edge of the tub and the floor. It didn't take much effort with the Swiffer so I know the floor was not cleaned on hands and knees. Additionally, when I arrived home there was a note from the maids indicating that they had broken the closet door, but they hadn't specified whether it was our bedroom or the office, nor did they specify what exactly was broken. When I checked both rooms I couldn't figure out what they were talking about so I didn't pursue the issue. Dory called the next week to check in on my experience and to try scheduling me for regular appointments, and I explained that we weren't satisfied along with descriptions of what wasn't done properly. Dory indicated that there hadn't been a misunderstanding about what the team was expected to do, that it seemed as though the person who had done the bathroom and the bedroom/dusting had dropped the ball. She did not offer me any sort of a refund (partial or otherwise) on my fee, just said that she would send me coupons for my next cleaning. They arrived within a week and were paltry - something like $5 off my next appointment if I scheduled it within the next month, which I hadn't even considered doing anyway. It's possible that I just didn't get a great team, and I have no idea if being present at the house while they cleaned would have changed their performance, but if we ever decide we need a maid service again we will not be going with Affordable Maids. Their prices are high and I don't feel as though I got my money's worth.

The apartment was not cleaned well. They did not clean the corners of the bathrooms; did not clean the bathrooms well at all. The kitchen floor was not cleaned and the carpets were barely cleaned. We paid extra to have the blinds cleaned and they were not done. When we called, they offered to send another crew out, however, we would have to pay again. Very dissatified; would never use them again.

What I like about them is that they are completely legal and I don’t have to worry about paying social security taxes. They are a little more expensive but they always show up very regularly and do exactly what I want them to do. They don’t run machines and don’t do laundry. I have been pleased with their service.

Our experience with them was fine. They did exactly what we expected them to do. We were satisfied. It was an occupied house and they did the preliminary cleaning very effectively and got us started. They were very professional.

The house has 6 rooms. They dust, mop and clean all horizontal surfaces. They clean the top of the stove and sink. They clean the bathroom, toilet, bath-tub and sink. They also make the beds. They don’t do the dishes or clean inside appliances. They don’t wash walls or do baseboards either. I like working with them because they are dependable, bonded and insured. You might be able to find a less expensive option, but you are not going to find a more reliable option and I have been using them for a decade.

I was extremely dissatisfied with the quality of the work Affordable Maids did for me. I selected them because they had an A rating with Angie’s List. Unfortunately this rating did not apply to the workers who cleaned for me. I employed them to clean the upstairs apartment in our duplex in preparation for new tenants. We live on the first floor. I made arrangements over the phone, choosing the option of providing their team of 3 workers with a list of tasks to do which they would work on until all tasks were completed. I would pay for however many hours that took. I wanted a thorough cleaning so asked for baseboards, window sills, radiator covers, tops of moldings above windows and doors, kitchen appliances, interior of kitchen cupboards, closets, ceiling light fixtures to be cleaned in addition to the normal cleaning of bathrooms and kitchen counters and floors. I specifically asked if they had the tools to remove decals and tape residue from several windows. I was assured they did. I was not home when the work was being done so checked when I returned. Only about 60% of my list was actually completed. When I phoned the next morning to obtain an explanation I was shocked at the reason for some of the work not being done. ALL work that required a 2 step stool is NOT done. That meant that none of the ceiling fixtures, the moldings above doors and windows, the drapery rod above a window, the top cupboards in the kitchen and closets were NOT cleaned. This information was NOT provided to me when I set up the appointment. I would not have employed this service had I known this. In addition, all the tape residue had not been removed, the shower curtain rod had not been cleaned, the kitchen baseboards had not been cleaned, and several lower kitchen cupboards had not been cleaned. To their credit, they gave me a $100 credit on the original $267 bill which resulted in my paying about 60% or $167.

I am very upset about my experience with Affordable Maids. I initially contacted them because I was looking for a good cleaning service to come regularly to my home. They were prompt in returning my call, but they locked me into hiring them for an initial cleaning by saying that they would charge my credit card if I decided to cancel. I wasn't happy with this, but I felt forced into trying them. They called 3 times the day before the scheduled cleaning, to change the time they were coming. First they wanted to come between 12:30-2:30, then they called again and said between 11-1, then again they called and said the wanted to come and clean at 8 in the morning!!! I had to argue with them to select a time that was convenient for us. When they did finally arrive for the cleaning, there were three girls (a team leader and two apprentices). The team leader mostly observed as the other two girls cleaned (yet I was charged for all three cleaning girls). After the cleaning was done, I inspected the house and found that there were spots left on my bedroom floor that hadn't been cleaned. The leader claimed hat they were difficult to clean (yet I took a piece of tissue paper with water, and cleaned a spot in front of her face with ease). After that they redid the floors which had not been cleaned well (bedroom, dining and living room). What angered me most was that they had the nerve to charge me for the additional time they spent to do the job right the second time around!!!! Overall they charged $270 to do a rather mediocre-poor cleaning job of my home. Not only was I left disappointed by the job, but I also feel robbed!!!! I spoke with the administrative person at the office to try and resolve the issue, and she simply tried to talk over me during the whole conversation. This is the most horrendous experience I have EVER had with a cleaning service. Do not hire these people!! You will be left feeling disappointed and robbed. They should honestly change their name to UNaffordable Maids! I am disgusted!

Affordable Maids does an excellent job. I had fallen in my garage and I had broken my ribs. I was in the garage and I made it up to the kitchen. I got upstairs to lay down and I had left my phone downstairs. I had been stuck in my room for five days before the maids showed up to find me. Two of them had medical experience and so they were able to contact the correct people and also assist me. They do an excellent job cleaning my house and they are very dependable.

Super job: punctual, hard working women. Hands-and-knees floor scrubbing, window polishing, dusting and bathroom cleaning. We were very pleased with their professionalism.

They did a wonderful job on some parts of the job. They had done some cleaning in a bathroom that was wonderful. I had asked them to clean the fans and that did not get done. I was happy that they were able to do a great job on the things that they did, but I would want to be there if I hired them again to make sure that they specific things I ask them to do would get done.

I didn't have any problems. They did a great job and were very professional and pleasant. $125 for the first visit.

The person who did the upstairs bathroom did an outstanding job. I was very pleased with her. The kitchen - the track lighting was not cleaned and the floor was to be done on hands and knees, but there spots missed.

Very disappointed with this service. They paid little attention to detail and were quite expensive. I came home after a cleaning and the bathroom tub and toilet had not been cleaned and the refrigerator and cabinets had finger prints all over them. The employees in the administrative office were very apologetic but the team that cleaned my house said they thought they did a good job! They offered my $20 off my next cleaning but they should have offered to come back and do the job right. I left them and have found a much better and more economical service that is insured and bonded.

They are wonderful. They call you the day before and remind you about their visit and give you a time range for you to expect them. They are very professional. All you ask for gets done. They have a crew that works very quickly. They are very trustworthy and I even gave them keys to my house.
